Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday. I was just talking to a friend about maternity clothing. I don't seem to fit into my pants as well! I did find that maxi dresses and dresses are much more comfortable. It's been at least 100 degrees the last few weeks here so dresses work best for me. She mentioned that she found some good maternity clothing at Old Navy and Burlington coat Factory. I just don't want to give in yet to maternity because I'm only 14 weeks, lol. Oh well. I do want to be comfortable! @dragonfaerie I didn't have any different changes coming off the medications. Maybe less bloated but no cramping. Maybe the other ladies had different experiences. I'm still getting those damn heart palpitations. My next OB appointment isn't until Augusst 1st. I'm not sure I get an ultrasound then. I caved and bought the heart rate monitor and I use it every few days to make sure everything is ok.
@kjplaza I am so sorry to read this! Sending you lots of internet hugs, prayers and strengths during this time. My thoughts are with you.

dragonfaerie - I didn't have any cramping. I really just had a few days of throwing up and just feeling crummy. I think the reason I was so surprised is b/c I was almost finished with the 1st trimester and hadn't been feeling that way for a few weeks. Hope you are feeling better soon!

@kjplaza I'm so very sorry for your loss. You are right- give yourself time to grieve, and be angry if needed, but hope will come one day again soon. Praying for a quick recovery after your D&C and then good results in your next cycle.
@dragonfaerie - I was told to discontinue my meds at 10 weeks but I went off closer to 11. I didn't really have any symptoms coming off the meds. If anything I think my bloat went away little and maybe my nausea improved a bit?
AFM- we found out from our RE/through PGS that we are having a BOY! I noticed so many boys on this thread! My first appt at the OB (10w6d) went great! We saw the baby again and he was really moving around a lot (actually so much so it sort of freaked me out) but overall the OB said everything looks good. I was also referred to a specialist for additional testing since I'm advanced maternal age (over 35) but my ob said I probably won't need to do the testing since we had PGS. Sounds like that is what everyone else experienced? So my appointment with the specialist is at 12 weeks (with an U/S and if we make it to that, I will have a big sigh of relief). We are still not going fully public closer to 14-16 weeks, but at least the chances of miscarriage at that point is low.
I'm happy to hear everyone's thoughts on maternity wear. I bought my belly band 2 weeks ago (and 9 weeks I was so bloated I couldn't close my jeans) and I love it. It really makes wearing buttoned items so much more comfortable!

@WishingforLuck not usually, but I had a case last week. It wasn't even a headache but more like head pressure. Are you drinking plenty of water? Or maybe it's sudden weather changes? I know I'm sensitive to those. I realized I wasn't drinking as much as I normally do when mine came on. Tylenol didn't help me either but that's the only thing we can take. Hope you feel better soon if you're having a headache now!

@WishingforLuck - I agree with @tulips29 on this one. I would first make sure you are drinking enough water. My dr told me I should be drinking a gallon a day. If you get them often, I would definitely ask your dr. They can be a sign of high blood pressure.

@WishingforLuck - I've been getting headaches every day over the past couple of days but they usually get better when I take a tylenol. But I'm reminded by everyone else's comments on drinking water. I'm probably not drinking enough either especially with the hot weather now.
So today I went to Victoria's Secret to get some new bras because my old ones are sooo not fitting anymore. I had gone up two full cup sizes! The DH has been commenting on that a lot, but too bad they are too sore to do much. I wasn't sure if I should be buying new bras though because some of my friends said they will get even bigger?! What are you all doing? Buying now?

**lurking ** @wishingforluck I am sorry you are having issues with headaches . I struggled for awhile with them and they got really bad . As others mentioned , water is so important . If they don't resolve soon you may try seeing a chiropractor since there isn't much you can take medicine wise ? I started seeing a chiropractor a little over a month ago and it is a night and day difference . I was having headaches almost daily and 3-4 days out of the week was throwing up with them and missing work because I felt so terrible . I hope yours resolve soon !!
oh - you may also ask your doc about adding a magnesium supplement if you aren't already taking one . A lot of people recommended this to me when my issues were really bad !
Good luck !!

@dragonfaerie I have no idea what's going on when. Lol. I finally asked today for a tentative schedule of what happens when up to 28 weeks so now I have a better idea. @griffin5413 let me know what they say. It wasn't an option for me during my down test since I was only 11 weeks then. They said the spina bifida is done around 15-16 weeks.
@Drove2u My OB gave me a list of the usual appointments and what they do during them, but I can't remember. All I remember really remember is her saying I'm going to feel abandoned for a few months because I'll only have one apt a month. Lol.

AFM- my 2 day headache finally went away. I had my NT scan where we got to see the twins again, who are both measuring 12 +2. As usual baby B was active moving hands and feet, baby A was moving and is not as active as B. My NT scan was normal and I go back in a few weeks for an anatomy scan. The perinatologist did recommend me starting aspirin. I don't remember if I mentioned this before but I was told the third sac that was empty will start to get smaller and might cause me to bleed dark red blood. Btw does anyone know if it's normal to see the perinatologist every month, in addition to the OB?
@WishingforLuck glad your appointment went well and babies are doing ok. I was recommended that I see a perinatologist since I'm "high risk" being over 35 and having minor thyroid issues. I don't think that I'll need to see them every month (and in face, once they learn that I had PGS, maybe not much at all) but I'll let you know next week!

Hi guys! I feel so far behind, with trying not to cough this baby out I haven't been on here much thus last week.
@WishingforLuck I have been having bad headaches too, but I think the strep throat and allergies were partly the cause. Lots of water def helped, probably more than Tylenol has. Glad you are feeling better now and that your apt went well!
You guys are on top of things asking about what to expect at doctor visits. I have not asked about what to expect when in terms of doctors visits. I almost feel more comfortable not knowing.
I can't wait for the anatomy scan!! My doc said to schedule it after August 19 (she does not have in office U/S). It seems like FOREVER since we have gotten to see Lumpy.
Has as anyone else bought maternity clothes yet? I got two T-shirts last night at Target. I tried one on this morning, I looked so funny in it with absolutely no bump!!!
My my close girlfriends threw a small surprise brunch for baby boy this morning. I'm glad I am starting to feel better and did not cancel on them. It was so sweet and timed perfectly with 2nd trimester. I feel so blessed today!! It's amazing how the baby stuff is already starting to pile up.
I hope everyone is having a good weekend!!!

@vssbrm sorry to hear about the strep, allergies and headaches. But I'm glad the water helped more than tylenol. How nice a surprise brunch. That is awesome! I bought some maternity shirts from burlington online. I also bought some maternity capris in store on clearance for about $10 I think. They had a whole bunch of maternity clothes on clearance last time I went.
We were at the outlets today and my dh asked in every store if they had maternity clothes (so I wouldn't have to walk to the back of the store). Did you ever notice that most stores keep the maternity clothes in the back of the store? Although most stores didn't have maternity clothes, a couple did. I bought 2 short sleeved shirts and pants that I can wear for work at the Burlington Coat Factory outlet. I won't wear them yet, because my belly is too small. The shirts do make me look pregnant, but because my belly is small, the shirts look a little too long. In the fall, I can wear them with a sweater and they should look nice. The pants were $14.99 and I think the shirts we're around $7.99 each.
I also went to the Motherhood Maternity outlet and they had nice things for a good price. The problem was that they were all summer clothes and I won't need the maternity clothes for another month or two. I bought a tank top that said " Due January 2017" or something like that in sparkley letters. DH and I thought it would be perfect for when we do the big announcement. We now have to get him a t-shirt that says something cute. We'll take a picture of us wearing our shirts and text/email a handful people before making an announcement on Facebook.
I'm also having a hard time with maternity clothes - I'm increasing uncomfortable in my normal work clothes, which are getting too tight and make me look like I'm carrying extra weight --only all my my tummy. I want to wait another 3-4 weeks to tell work (until I'm 14-16 weeks) but I think it will start to be a little noticeable by then. So instead I went online and bought to some loose fitting dresses (not maternity, which I thought might actually accentuate the situation). I figured I can wear them again next summer when I'm trying to lose the post-baby weight.
I think I want to wait until August/September to buy most of the maternity clothes because I think I will need mostly fall/winter maternity wear and those clothes are not yet on the racks!

I had the worst migraine of my life yesterday, to the point that it made me nauseous and I bummed out in bed most of the day. Tylenol didn't do much for me until late at night and I barely slept. I'm feeling much better today, though so that's a plus.
I need to start looking for some comfy maternity pants. All of mine are starting to get tight so I've been wearing mostly leggings/skirts/dresses. Anyone bought some comfy stretchy maternity pants and can recommend where to look besides motherhood maternity? I also don't want to spend a ton on them.

Buying now?

@Griffin5413 a gallon, wow. I will definitely work my way up to a gallon. Thanks for the info.
@Knottie1432834683 At first the tylenol seemed to help, but the headache yesterday was bad, tylenol did nothing for me. I just rested the whole day.
@mskeenan Thank! If it continues I will definitely look into seeing a chiropractor.
@Drove2u Glad your appt went well.

I think I want to wait until August/September to buy most of the maternity clothes because I think I will need mostly fall/winter maternity wear and those clothes are not yet on the racks!

@vssbrm I hope you're feeling better this week!
