It's tough as a FTM that's told anything you're feeling in the first trimester in gastrointestinal. Especially with all the constipation and gas most of us get, you get used to feeling "something" going on fairly often. I'm not sure I can distinguish those sensations to what's going on now. Okay, rant over.
So, I think I might be feeling some baby movements, and my reaction is to place my hand on my belly where its coming from. I know I won't be able to feel anything from the outside, but I just do it without thinking.
I'm a FTM 15+5 and I keep thinking any minute now I'll feel something substantial...but sadly it's mostly gas. And I can tell you about this gas! Dang....I sound like a semi trucker nowadays lol...my poor hubby, he just laighs, puts his shirt over his nose, and I just tell him the baby is saying i love you daddy! Lol
I've been feeling rolling and flutters for a few weeks (it started early this time, which seems to crazy!) but am just now starting to distinguish what feels like kicking or stretching of a limb. We were lying in bed the yesterday and my husband said he felt where the baby was because there was something hard and then nothing and I was feeling the baby roll around. So, he didn't really feel movement, but the pressure from a little body. I love this stage!
I am currently 18 weeks and I started feeling my baby girl kick around 15 weeks. I am starting to feel her more often. This is my second pregnancy. I didn't feel any kicks in my first pregnancy until around 20 weeks.
Definitely feeling baby now @ 17+4, only when sitting. Baby moving never gets old, and reaffirms how every life in the womb is equally precious no matter what.
Lurking from July. I didn't feel any kicks until around the 20 week mark and it took right up to 26 weeks for them to be felt on the outside! I'm a FTM if that makes any difference to you ladies!
Been feeling little flutters for quite a few weeks - but as of Tuesday the 7th of June (i was 18 wks) they've been pretty intense lol not only can I feel them all day, but daddy can feel them too, and they're visible to the naked eye! I took a video today while filling out my bump binder on the couch to document it lol so now I have proof! (You can see the little vid on my instagram if you look me up; thathorrorwhore ) Have any other daddies to be felt the kicks yet? Everyone said 18 wks was too early for a FTM, but my baby showed them!
@ElleDGee my husband felt him on Saturday at 18+3. He happened to be in the right place at the right time to feel the strongest kick I had felt up until that point. We were both shocked and I, of course, cried. Since then I have felt more kicks that were strong enough for him to feel but he hasn't been around or had his hands on my belly to feel any since that first one.
I'm 19w today and have been feeling baby move around quite a bit. At our last appointment dr said we have a very active baby. Send to love to kick right in the bladder when I try to go to bed.
Dh felt baby kick this morning!!! We were laying in bed and baby was wiggling around so I grabbed DH's hand and put it where I felt baby. Baby stopped for a minute then BAM! Kicked right on his hand!
I'm 18+4 and have felt it for a few weeks. Tonight my stomach made a loud noise, and the baby did like a giant, fast full-body flip inside the womb.... It actually was painful!! I read in one of the baby books that they can be scared by sudden noises, which must have been what happened. Still a little sore lol!
First realized I was feeling kicks during our ultrasound two days ago, I had kept dismissing the subtle little movements as everything else, but once I saw the ultrasound of baby moving I realized the fluttery movements I was feeling was definitely baby moving. My partner felt our baby move tonight, I'm 19+3. He was lying with his head on my stomach trying to feel something (with no luck for ages) and I felt a big move, and he said he definitely felt it!, the baby gave him the biggest thwack right towards his ear. So lovely ❤
FTM here as well so I can't be positive but pretty sure I've been feeling movement for the past week. I'm 18w tomorrow. It's starting to be more consistent and is lower than I originally anticipated. It also doesn't feel like popcorn popping or fluttering. It feels like the baby's doing a little stretch or wiggle and then going back to whatever position he was in. No dancing or karate moves yet!
As a FTM I have no idea if it is baby flutters or just gas lol. I did purchase a doppler for peace of mind and check in on baby every few days. There is lots of movement and heart is strong. I did this because I am under epilepsy medications and want to make sure baby is doing okay in there. Can't wait to be SURE of the movement I feel. I'm at 17+4 so shouldn't be long.
I'm 18+2 with twins. I been feeling baby B for a few of weeks, she is closer to the front of the woom. I have started feeling baby A alot more in just the last few days. They have been quite active for the last 30 min actually. I love feeling them.
Katie I'd say it's stretching pitches. I started getting those for a few weeks back.
I don't feel movement unless I am sitting watching TV or laying in bed. Does anyone know when you can feel movement even when your up moving around?
From what I understand, babies tend to fall asleep when you are walking around, which explains why they are less active during the day. Don't worry though, by week 27 or so, you will be feeling lots lots more movement, almost to the point where it becomes annoying.
I think I felt something! I'm 18+1, the last few nights I feel what I think is hunger grumbling, but no sound. And not hungry. And lower. So I'm not 100% sure yet, but maybe!!

Pretty bummed out, I used to feel flutters a lot around 15-16 weeks and now I'm 18+4 and I haven't felt barely anything for some time now. I can't even tell you how much anxiety I have from this. Not sure what I should do...just wait it out? My a/s scan is on 7/12...

this happened to me, and then at my AS (20 weeks) I was told I have an anterior placenta and not to worry. I guess I felt some flutters before the placenta got too big. The good news is that now at 22 weeks I can feel real kicks occasionally. My husband can even feel them! Good luck and let us know what they say at the scan!

I am the same way on the movement. My scan is on 7/15. I've just had to chill and remind myself this whole pregnancy has been different than my first two and really trust that God has everything under control no matter the outcome. I could be having more movement when I'm moving and maybe that's why I am not feeling much...or this baby likes to rest a lot! I don't know where my placenta is, so that may have something to do with it. Maybe, baby was kicking where the placenta wasn't during those first weeks I felt something and now has chosen a different spot (i.e., on the placenta)

I feel this way too. I have a Doppler so I pull it out every few days to check even though I'm sure everything is fine. ( However, so many people feel the need to tell me I look small it adds to my anxiety at times.)

awww! Whether it's true or not, I love thinking that walking around rocks our babies to sleep. I'm a FTM too so I don't remember when I first started to feel movement because I wasn't sure what to expect. It became consistent my 17th week so that's when I officially say I'm sure. In the 18th week, DH either couldn't ever feel it or wasn't there when stronger movements happened. I reached 19 weeks yesterday and baby boy was kicking and completely switched from my right side to my left so DH tried feeling again when he got home late from work and FINALLY felt a kick! I typically only feel kicks when I'm sitting or lying still.
I Felt my first one at 14 weeks, 1 at 15 weeks, then a few at 16, and I've been feeling them regularly since about 17 weeks. last weekend, I felt my son move all the way across my belly. I have no idea what he was doing but I felt the movement go from my right side to my left. Strange little boy haha.
Last night at 19+5 my husband finally felt a kick for the first time. He cried. We've been trying to get our son to kick for him for about a week, and he finally did!

STM and 19 weeks tomorrow. I've felt rolling for the last few weeks with a big increase this week. Earlier today I started feeling kicks. I was shocked how strong some of them felt, so I pressed down on my stomach and actually felt it from the outside several times. I was thinking that was still a few more weeks away, but I had hubby feel and he felt it too.
I'm 20 weeks today and have an anterior placenta. I haven't felt much at all. My first pregnancy I started feeling movement around 17 weeks. I'm really hoping I'll start feeling some movement soon.
I'm finally feeling real kicks now and I'm so freaking happy..... but please Ayane, don't Spartan kick mommy when shes finally getting a nap in the car after work..... it scares the crap out of me =____=
