Good luck @Backbypopulardemand! I hope all you need is a little jumpstart to get the process moving. Anxiously awaiting your birth story and announcement!!
My extremely dry skin especially on face is back from first trimester. It's starting to get itchy which is making it look red and inflamed as well as flaky and dry all at the same time.
Has some weird cramping sensation in my lower back this morning. then followed by a dull backache for a bit and now it's gone. I'm hoping maybe this is the start of something...? Anxiously awaiting my doctors appointment Wednesday to see if I've progressed...
Membranes swept this morning. Dr said she "really went at it" so hopefully that helps. I've felt lots of pressure all weekend and just generally like if I move too quickly something is going to happen, so I hope that's a sign. We will see.
Started having what feels like nasty period cramps today. Sometimes pretty strong where I have to get up and walk around and breathe, other times kind of dull. It feels like the dull ache is more continuous and I can't feel a start or an end so I'm not timing anything. The strong ones haven't seemed regular at all. I have my doctors appointment later this afternoon so we will see. I'm hoping this is the start of something but I'm a FTM and starting to feel nervous and anxious about it all so there's also a (small) part of me that doesn't want it to be it yet just because I am scared (I'm 38.3 weeks by the way) We shall see....
@tennisbabymama It's totally normal to feel nervous and scared. Part of me feels that way too! Every time I start wishing labor would begin I think about the sleepless nights ahead and different types of pain coming my way. I'm definitely excited to meet my baby but also really nervous about the unknown!
@sboston06 Thank you!! I have been feeling pretty guilty about feeling that way so I needed to hear that! We will both be amazing mamas and I'm sure that when our babies get here we won't believe we ever felt this way to begin with. Thanks again and good luck!!
@tennisbabymama@sboston06 this is my second and I'm starting to get nervous. Being the wannabe badass that I am I haven't mentioned it to my friends or family though. I know sort of what to expect but it doesn't sooth me. Last go round I had no labor symptoms and my water just broke one day. By the time the real pain started I was snuggled up in L&D with and epidural. I have a feeling It ain't going to fly that way this time I know we will get thru it tho!
Having some pretty serious pains this evening. Started sbout 2 hours ago and have held steady. No definitive pattern as of yet but seems to be headed in that direction.
Eta: I've started spotting and timing. Seems like contractions are from 6-10 mins apart mostly. I'm freaking out. Trying to rest to see if they hold steady but can't. Ahh!
Woke up about 1 or 2 am with what felt like apnea. It was so hard to breathe and to get a breath. For a few moments I felt like I couldn't breathe at all. I could not find a postion that allowed me to be comfortable to save me. I either found or passed out from oxygen deprivation because I fell back asleep for a bit. But boy oh boy that was scary. Thank goodness today is a doctor day!
So I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this but it's nearly unbearable. My lower back hurts SO badly- not tightening and loosening- just constant pain. Also way down low in my uterus- maybe my cervix? just plain hurts SO badly. Again, it's not a contraction. It's just constant. I'm nearly in tears. Anyone? I don't want to go to L & D yet because they just stripped membranes yesterday and I was only a large 1 cm. and I had strong and consistent contractions for about 4 hours yesterday afternoon but they stopped and became sporadic throughout the night. And now I woke up to this consistent pain that won't go away.
I'll do that now and see what they say. I'm only reluctant because I've been contracting for over three weeks and they keep telling me any minute but I've been 1 cm the whole time and they send me home. I don't want to keep being "the boy who cried wolf". @rnyland1
@rlopezlavalle I hear your hesitation and I would be thinking the same thing, but it could be back labor. Definitely worth a call since it's a change from how you have been feeling/contracting.
Okay so I was told to stretch, take a warm shower, and go for a walk to see if I can ease the pain. Also I can take Tylenol. They want to see if the pain becomes time-able contractions. Ugh.
So this might be TMI but I know y'all won't judge me. I'm not sure if I'm slowly leaking or I have a sweating problem. I'm sitting in the A/C on full blast not even moving around and my underwear are wet. I've tried the laying down and getting up thing and it's not really changing. There's no color to it and it seriously just feels like water. Is this normal?
@setosh could be discharge or sweat. Wear a pad, lie down for about 30 minutes and then get up. If it's wet maybe you should call your gyno/doc. Some waters breaking could just be a trickle without contractions.

Yeah I'm gonna try that later. My mom's water broke all day without her even realizing it so maybe that's happening to me too? Thanks!
I've had such a weird day symptoms wise. It started with a dull back ache and a few twinges here and there (about a 2 on the pain scale). I've had so much nausea, I don't know if it's all the pineapple I've eaten though! haha. I'm the type of person who has to physically stick my fingers down my throat to get sick and about 4 times today I've nearly vomited out of no where. I haven't actually vomited yet though, I'm not someone who gets sick much (I only really vomited once the whole pregnancy). Weird.
ETA: My stomach is actually so hard and tight feeling today too!
39+3 and feeling pretty good. Just a lot of stomach tightening and soreness. Yesterday he was moving around like CRAZY all day, which was kind of freaking me out. Today he is very calm. I dont know what that means. I woke up and vacuumed out the car and have been doing laundry/dishes and have a good amount of energy. I hope something happens soon, but he seems to be pretty comfortable in there.

I had this issue the other day. I was wearing boy shorts and they seemed soaked. I thought my water broke until I changed them and felt the band thats tucked under my belly was wet, too. It was really hot that day lol.
@lolomommy1 I've been having alternating days of energy/exhaustion and active baby/sleepy baby too.. And I'm 39+3 also. Here's hoping they get tired of being cramped in there soon!
@eymi Yes! Alternating energy/exhaustion is spot on. Ill have tons of energy one day and be wiped out the next. Tonight ive had some sharp pains in my uterus. Im not going to read into them because I dont want to get my hopes up. haha Come on babies!
Anyone know what to help with the exhaustion..other than birth?! Hehe. I am sleepy every day and even when I get a good nights sleep, which is rare...it doesn't seem to make a difference. Caffeine also doesn't give me energy. I am even past the nesting stage because my body physically can't take it and swelling starts as soon as I get up. 2 weeks, 2 weeks, 2 weeks
So last night as I was trying to turn over in bed I heard/felt a large "pop" and thought it was my water breaking. Stood up a few minutes later but no gushing or fluid leaking or anything. Then, LO was extremely active the rest of night (like he was in the circus or something, it was intense) and I got absolutely zero sleep because of it. Now I feel like a zombie. And I'm still pregnant so I hate everything right now.
@rnyland1 Every time I turn over I get a horrible pop in my crotch and it hurts like hell. I'm guessing there's just so much pressure down there. Feels like a joint popping.
@mrsmommya I wish I knew! I'm exhausted to the point of frustration. I've got 2 more weeks too!
