@ingoscj Personally, I would keep the appointment. From experience, I realized I wish I had more pictures and memories of myself and my family during my pregnancies. I have tons of the kids and FI by themselves and with each other, but hardly any of us as a group while pregnant and I regret overlooking that aspect of our journey as a family.
@AllyTheKid The best part about planning your own wedding is you can be as low key or as big as you want because it's YOUR WEDDING. At the end of the day, you'll be just as married no matter if the centerpieces were perfect.

On the subject of weddings, we went to a wedding yesterday of one of my college friends. We were seated with a bunch of old people but up front. Turns out they were all first cousins. Guessing I should be flattered? lol It was fine and they were nice, just an odd seating IMO.
Also, what are these viability weeks people are posting?
I've seen people say 28 weeks is 3rd tri but doctor considers 27 weeks to be 3rd tri. I think 27 makes more sense if you divide 40 by 3 you get 13.3 so technicily speaking, 2nd tri would be 13 weeks 3 days and 3rd would be 26 weeks 6 days. For viability, they say a baby has a 50 % chance of surviving out of womb a 24 weeks. I saw someone post about secondary viability but I'm not sure what week/percentage it is.

On the topic of wedding seating, that was by far the hardest part of planning for me! In reality, people are hardly at their table except to eat so it doesn't matter all that much IMO.
ETA: As long as the family is close enough for toasts, that's all that matters.

Thanks @mrscorker. I know with my first, the hospital I wanted to deliver at said the baby had to be at least 34 weeks, so that # is always a goal in my mind.
Also, holy crap then I'm almost in 3rd tri! Today/tomorrow (depending on which due date I use) is 26 weeks. Woohoo!
I loved planning my wedding! I was actually depressed when it was over not because my "special day" had come and gone but because I had no more planning to do. I'm trying to avoid doing that with pregnancy though!
And talking about seating! My brother and SIL didn't have me in their wedding, which my whole family thought was weird considering my brother only has one sibling which is me. I also wasn't seated with my family, I was seated with his work friends and her cousins, which is weird again because the only person I knew my fiancé. Considering he had friends that I knew, why not at least have me sit with them?? Oh and they sat in 2 long tables, there they were in the middle of the first one, and both my parents and I were seated at the very far end so the only time I was actually able to see them was when they stood up. You would think my brother and I had a strained relationship or something, but nope at least not that I'm aware of......unless that was his way of trying to tell me something lol
I just don't know the first thing about it! Ex-H and I just filed paperwork at the courthouse, this will be my first actual wedding! FI and his ex wife were courthouse married as well, so we're both technically going into this for the first time haha
We did a little wedding with a guest list of 50. It was super low stress, and was a lot of fun because of it. We rented two big log cabins (winter wedding) for a weekend and invited all our closest friends/family to stay overnight with us both nights. It was like a big party with a small reception in between.
I loved wedding planning too!!! The most important part was remembering it's supposed to be fun and not listening to anyone's opinions about what you "have to do". It's your wedding and your budget, not theirs.
I will add that once you make decisions, stay AWAY from Pinterest because you will end up changing your mind every time you see something new and will then spend more money.

I *loved* OffbeatBride.com when I was planning my wedding. They don't have the forums anymore but they do have great articles, including for creative low-budget weddings, and they are super non-judgy.
I also got a lot of editable PDFs on etsy for signs, programs, menus, etc. I was able to edit them and go to kinkos and print however many I needed. Saved a ton of money compared to having them designed and printed by a professional. I got my invitations on etsy too!

Also talk to @annabenanna she did her beach wedding for $500!
Okay I'm going to do the biggest no no and tell you something you have to do lol. After you saw your vows, take a few minutes, even if it's only 10, to be just with hubby to let it all sink in. I read to do that, and I'm so happy I did because everything moves so quickly, if you don't make time to enjoy the moment, you'll only have it when it's all said and done.
@AllyTheKid be on the lookout and openminded about non-traditional venues. I just googled "non-traditional wedding venues in ....." and got a lot of great results. We ended up and found an beautiful outdoor chapel that was free except for the chair rentals, and then had the reception at a yoga studio/sanctuary with an outdoor space. I also saved money by limiting bar to beer/wine only, we had a BBQ buffet, and made all of our own centerpieces and decorations using bulk flowers, cheap jars from Hobby Lobby, and Oriental Trading Company. I had friends bring lawn games for people to play, and didn't have a DJ, I just set up my laptop with a speaker and put on my iTunes playlist. I also saved by using a friend's wedding dress, but that was more luck than anything else. It ended up being super laid back and everyone had a great time. Good luck in planning!
