Rants/Raves: My feet swell up as soon as I am on them for more than an hour and this damn insomnia is going to be the death of me.
DH and I don't have any vacation plans. I would love to see if he would like to drive up to door county Wisconsin for an afternoon. They have lots of cute little shops and the scenery is beautiful.
This week my nesting is out of control. Basement is organized, all the closets are cleaned out and labeled. I'm working on bathroom and kitchen drawers next. My theory is that the less clutter we have on the main level, the easier it will be to keep up with a newborn in the first few weeks.

How big is baby: Size of a pineapple.
Rants/Raves/Symptom: Lots of lightning crotch, random pains, pressure, cramping...the usual third trimester stuff. Excited to be another week closer!! My twin sister had her baby at 36 weeks and I'm hoping my little guy comes sooner rather than later but he can take as long as he needs, I just can't wait to meet him! Whenever he's ready, I'm ready.
Do you and your SO/DH have any last minute date/vacation before baby comes? On the 22nd, the day before I turn 37 weeks, it's my birthday so we plan on going to a nice dinner. I'm not sure what else DH has planned for my birthday but that's all we have planned so far as long as baby isn't here by then.
What have you done this last week to prep for baby? Nothing, I've already done pretty much everything. The only thing I have left is to sterilize all his bottles, nipples, pacifiers, etc. but I'm not doing that till I'm at least 36 weeks.

We are going to visit with my sister and her kids and husband next weekend. It's not far, just 2 hours from us and 1.5 from our hospital. I guess it's my last hoorah before baby.

not much! DH and I switched sides of the bed due to the bassinet not fitting on my original side. I'm fine with it but DH can't sleep. Lol I said get used to it!
Also I just want to say your posts this week have thoroughly entertained me!

How big is baby?
Chunky! The size of a pineapple but at my U/S on Tuesday, they said she was 5 lbs 11 oz and her head was measuring 2 weeks ahead. I know those can be off but if she's like her brother, she'll be a chunk.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms?
She is killing my vagina. I think she was trying to punch her way out a few times this week. Other than pressure, some cramping, and contractions I'm feeling ok.

Her c-section is scheduled 1 week after my birthday so I assume we'll have dinner or something. Maybe?

Does telling DH we need to get our asses in gear count? We've done nothing for her arrival. We're supposed to be building an addition and we keep waiting to see where things will be with that.

How big is baby? Big! Baby is measuring near 10 pds according to the sizing ultrasoundI just had, let's hope that margin of error is on the minus not the plus side.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? I ache. My entire pelvic girdle and hips just hurt. The sciatica pain is back. Rolling over in bed or getting up to pee is wince inducing. Swimming helps though, that weightlessness sensation is devine. I am also getting ye old lightening crotch and RLP. All part of that last month package. But, I am so excited to meet this little one! Not long now.

Nope, no more travel for us. Too close to my due date, and there are indI cations I might go into labor early.
What at have you done this last week to prep for baby?
It has been a big week for prep for us. We got the carpet in our bedroom/baby room replaced. Which meant moving everything we own into the living room. I painted the mural for the baby nook wall. We got the crib assembled and are setting the room back up!

Rants/Raves/Symptoms? My back pain has actually subsided the past week or two. I've taken it a lot easier so that's been great. Baby's head isn't as low as it was because I can feel her hiccups higher so I'm anxious to see what position she's in at my appt. on Saturday. Other than that I've actually been feeling really good. I think she doesn't have plans to show anytime soon and will probably end up being a September baby. That's my guess for now.

What at have you done this last week to prep for baby? We bought nursery furniture yesterday and now it's all set up! I feel like I've been behind in that department so I'm going to spend the next week getting her room ready. Let the nesting begin!

Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Just this increased pressure in my pelvis and frequent pee breaks! Bring on modified bedrest is kinda driving me crazy. I'm used to doing a lot more than what I'm allowed to.
Do you and your SO/DH have any last minute date/vacation before baby comes? We just did our mini vacay this past weekend for the 4th. We wanted to go to the beach but seeing as LO tried to come early a couple weeks ago we didn't want to go too far away from home so we went to my in laws and hung out by the pool all weekend and ate amazing food. They were all at the beach so we had the place to ourselves!
What at have you done this last week to prep for baby? I started washing her clothes and bedding just to get that ready.
How big is baby? Another big baby here, he's estimated to be 7lb 9 oz as of Friday
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? Tons of lightning crotch and a couple of very strong contractions this past week, so I'm hoping this next week will show some dilation or something to show he plans on meeting us a little early, as due to gd they won't let me go past my due date.

We have plans next weekend to visit his family for his parents anniversary dinner (about 1 hr away), and then a family get together at my mom's place downtown Chicago (about 1 hr away). But we will see what the doctor says this week about any signs of labor... the next few weekends we plan to lay low just in case. Baby is measuring almost 3 weeks ahead at this point, so he could arrive any day now.

We had our last baby shower yesterday, and today spent some time putting all of the gifts away, putting together the pack n play, and packing hospital bags. I've been trying to spend a little time each day getting something done but today I realized I really need to get my hospital bag together just in case he decides to come sooner rather than later!

Rants/Raves/Symptoms? I am so hot. I have realized that the most comfortable place in our house in the basement, so I basically camp out there all weekend in the cold.
Do you and your SO/DH have any last minute date/vacation before baby comes? MIL is coming from California for a week for the baby shower and to help us finish getting everything we need--even though I feel like we already have enough. The state fair is the last week in July here so I am trying to decide if I want to suffer though a day in the heat for all the good fair food.
What have you done this last week to prep for baby? Hospital bag is packed and carseat bases are installed. We have a shower this weekend and my work is throwing one next week.
How big is baby? The size of a bunch of celery. His estimated weight based on my ultrasound Friday was 5lb 3oz. He is getting big! It makes me a little nervous.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms? I am not sleeping much at all, so I'm tired throughout the day, and achy.
Do you and your SO/DH have any last minute date/vacation before baby comes? No vacations because I need to stick close to home -- we took a few weekend trips during the spring instead. Next week is our anniversary so we'll go out for a nice dinner.
What at have you done this last week to prep for baby? We had our labor class Friday night and all day Saturday. That was a big chunk of time so we gave ourselves the rest of the weekend off from baby stuff.
