Would you buy these?

I've been offered BG OS dipes for $8 each.  I think they're the old version.  The seller says they were used for nearly one year but are in great condition.

The thing that worries me is that DS is so young, and we're looking at needing the dipes for--what?--two and a half years?  I don't want to have to go out and buy all new dipes because the ones I have die before he's out of them, ya know?

Chances are the velcro on your BGs wouldn't last  you that long even if you bought brand new anyways.  You would end up having to replace the velcro or convert them to snaps anyways.  I'd take them up on their offer personally because its a good deal.

I could convert the velcro without any problem, but what about the elastic?  I suck at sewing, and there's no way I could replace that.

It's really not that hard to replace. Requires only minimal hand stitching skills. There's a tutorial on diaperswappers.
