Totally ready for flames. I know it's stupid but I took an intelligender test. It said boy. I know that's about as reliable as a coin toss. But oh well. All in fun.
I looked at Chinese gender charts to see where we fell. No flames here - I see no harm if it is all in good fun and as long as no one posts a crotch shot of their baby in utero asking me to interpret the sex.
ETA: ok I did Google intelligender and didn't realize it was a rest you pay money for....my eyebrows are raised a bit but if that's how you choose to spend your money....
Yeah total waste of money. The Dr's show that comes on in the morning says it's 85 percent accurate. I personally think it's a pH test though.
My pregnant friend sent me this this morning. It seems like actual cell free DNA testing where they only look for Y chromosomes. Price and format is similar to the dog DNA test that I may or may not have done. Warning: gratuitous misuse of the word gender ahead!
We won't be doing it, but seems like a better option for the crowd who pays hundreds of dollars OOP for the Harmony or Panorama when they really just want to know the sex. I think my friend is going to, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes.
My "flame free Friday confession" I spend way too much time on the bump, Facebook, and daily mail while I'm supposed to be working. I have 0 motivation lately. For every report I do I probably spend an hour on all those sites....:/
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
@Xstatic3333 - Did you do the dog test. I really want to for my one pup. The rescue said she was one breed, but we have a sneaky suspicion she's a blend of two breeds (Foxhound and Greyhound or Foxhound and Whippet).
My dad asked if the results came back in a way we didn't like if we'd give back the dog. OF COURSE NOT, THAT'S NOT THE POINT. It's the curiosity of it all.

Re: poutine, the word curd made me dry heave, but it made me miss disco fries which obviously led me to crave a fat sandwich. You can take the girl out of jersey...
I'm a giant, miserable asshole right now. I watched my toddler throw several tantrums today and didn't get off the couch. I didn't shower. I didn't brush my teeth. Everything hurts and nothing is good. I cannot find any of my fucks.
8 weeks and I don't know how I'm going to make it another month, and I'm already tired of my own whining.

Yes, and it was really cool! The rescue told us our dog was a Brittany, but we immediately had our doubts. He turned out to be mostly an English springer/cocker spaniel mix, which makes total sense. Plus, it was just fun.

Me too!! My job is so boring. I take about an hour out of each day to "actually" do work. Motivation doesn't exist.
@Xstatic3333 adorable pup. We have a brittany. She's got quite the personality on her. We joke she's like a teenager.
How cool! They're beautiful dogs. Do you hunt with yours? Our guy had a very short haircut when we picked him up, so he looked a little closer, but one of our main clues that he wasn't a Brit was that he's extremely chill and lazy. One of our motivations in seeking a high energy dog was so it could run a few miles a day with me. Well, that's a total nonstarter with this guy! He'll walk two miles and then sleep for 9 hours. No matter, he's perfect anyway.
