Coastal North Carolina advice?

hello. Looking for any advice, please chime in. Family and I are thinking about moving to NC from CT and don't know a thing about it. We want to move to a town right near the ocean. Hoping to find a place reasonably priced, near good schools and near amenities (nothing to off the beaten path). We are looking for a change and it's a dream of ours to be by the beach and live in warmer weather. Can anyone recommend a town or area where to look? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks

i lived in nj my whole life and visited family in NC near atlantic beach my whole life. we finally moved here 2 years ago and it was the best decision ever. we live near morehead city which is only a few min from the ocean.
