Re: WTO Friday

• @canokr01 I am so sorry. Take care of yourself and come back when you are ready xoxo

@MandyBeeSLP It loaded fine initially but now it looks messed up. Any tips on posting chart? This girl is not tech savvy ugh. As for your chart, you have some open circles so it may be hard to tell. Do you think those temps were unusually low?

@hezzer78 wohooo on completing whole 30!

• @hezzer78I found this puppy growth chart that's safely projecting him to hit the 100lb mark! (77 is one third of the way between the 70-91 range they give for his current age, and 100 would be one third of the way between 118-91 in the 18 month range.) How does it work when they are legit 150 lbs fully grown? I love it though, but I mean, that is fully OFF THE CHARTS!!! lol

• @Saralee797 Sorry, I'm not chart post savvy either. No, the actual time I take my temp historically doesn't matter, it just really needs to be the first time I wake up in the night. Also, typically, my pre-O temps are all below 97.0 and my post-O temps are all above it. I took 6 months off temping though and this is my first month back so I guess it could have changed.

@BusinessWife She used to raise Newfoundlands, but the big ones are her Pyrenean Mastiffs - which are different than a great pyrenees - the Pyr Mastiffs come from the Spain side of the mountains. They're pretty dogs - but way too damn big for me. She doesn't really breed them anymore.

• @Saralee797. I open my chart in FF then take a screenshot and save it to my phone (from mobile. But I do the same thing on my computer). Then click the little arrow next to the folded-down-corner icon at the top of your post, and attach it like any other gif. Hope that helps!

R/R: So my husband's lab results finally came back from when he had his hormones checked. The doctor only checked testosterone and not LH, estrogen, etc. That seems like a tiny bit of an oversight? And she didn't order a SA. But my husband's testosterone level is apparently 367 which seems a bit low for a 31 year old. The doctor left a note with the lab results saying that it "doesn't necessarily require treatment since it is technically normal." Apparently the normal range for testosterone is 300-1000 and she said she "would have expected the number to be more in the middle" given my husband's "relatively young age."

filmlinc school mad ugh annoyed

I was honestly sorta hoping the numbers would come back a little more definitive either way. Like "yes you definitely need treatment" or "no those numbers are right where we would expect them to be for your age!"

• *lurking from TWW*

@Maggie1202 I started taking Vitex in pill form this cycle because i read that it could help lengthen the LP. I'm at 5dpo so no real way of knowing if it has affected anything yet. I also was drinking RRL tea to do the same, so I guess if my LP is longer, I won't really know if it was because of one or the other or both. From looking online, it seems like Vitex is supposed to be a lot like RRL tea in that it helps with regulating the menstrual cycle as a whole. I saw an interesting infographic not too long ago that supposedly showed a whole bunch of supplements and where they ranged as far as being proven to help or just speculated. I think I saw Vitex somewhere around the bottom middle. Definitely not scientifically proven, but probably couldn't hurt either.

• @Saralee797 Your chart looks interesting and I wonder, were we talking about this before? What kind of fertility monitor/opks you are using? Mine, once I get a peak just shuts off for 48 hours and that's it until the next cycle. I find it interesting how when the EWCM starts to appear, your temps smooth out, so that's a good sign that if you legit had rocky pre-o temps, it was like those were just your PRE-pre-o temps, and now these are smoothing out perhaps leading up to O? I know mine will be a bit rocky during AF and pre-o, usually dip and then go up after O and kind of smooth out somewhat like yours do later in your cycle, and then ideally you want to see them rise, which they have been over the past few days..., so like if it weren't for where those smoother temps are sitting in relation to what would be some kind of coverline for your earlier temps, (and all the other signs like CM/OPKs etc. further confusing things), I would almost say it looks like you could have O'd on CD25, - and you DID have a peak reading there - let's just flip flop those two ten-day stretches of CM patterns and it would start to make a little more sense. lol That long patch of EWCM HOPEFULLY means your body is gearing up for O, but really only time will tell... :/ Wish I had a better answer, but Keep HIO so you don't miss anything!!!

• @jatwal128 @BusinessWife @antoto

Here are some articles I looked up when decided to take Vitex:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8369008
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23136064
https://natural-fertility-info.com/vitex
https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-968-vitex agnus-castus.aspx?activeingredientid=968&
There was another PubMed one too that I just can't find right now.

From the articles I read it seemed like in order for it to be effective for LP you needed to take it every day, and it could take up to 3 months to be effective. There is a German study that found it to be safe during the first trimester, and the recommendation that you NOT take it while pregnant is based on a lack of evidence for safety rather than evidence that it is dangerous. Some very anecdotal internet evidence suggests weaning off if you get a BFP because stopping suddenly could result in a sudden drop in progesterone possibly resulting in miscarriage. Take that with a grain of salt. There is no way to know one way or the other because that part hasn't been studied.

I would love to have other resources you've found on Vitex because I know it has a very bad reputation on this forum in particular, and it seems like there is a lot of misinformation about it. I have seen on here and other sites where people say is it dangerous, and there is no evidence that it is at all dangerous from what I've read (except for drug interactions, listed on WebMD).

@AliciaGoose You're right, the opks just confuse me sometimes. Today I took another one and it was definitely positive, no question. I'm going to take a CBAD in a bit and see if that's at least high or maybe even peak. I used the CBAD last month (our first month trying so that was the only other time) and got a peak after a positive wondfo. I didn't use it the day before O so not sure what that result would have been.

@slavenski Sorry about all the stuff you're dealing with! Bad timing right on your birthday.

• @MandyBeeSLP That's great that you've done your research! I don't honestly know that much about it, apart from what I looked at when considering the Fertilitea blend. But I can see what you're saying, because I think RRL tea gets this crazy dangerous rap and I think that's pretty overblown, too.
• @themrs CBADs are meant to essentially watch your levels rise each day from several days before O until O. That's how they determine your peak. So if you started using them 'late' they might be giving you false lows. I would trust the OPKs in this case!

• @BusinessWife yep we were talking about this before. It is the weirdest cycle ever. My chart should come with a disclaimer. So the Rocky Mountain temps are for two reasons in the beginning. One I wasn't temping at the same time but also those two really high temps were drinking related. I've thrown them out but it doesn't make a difference to FF. I thought I was going to O on cycle day 25 but then I started to get true EWCM and my temp dropped. Before that it is marked as S but tbh it was sort of an opaque EW during those days. I changed it in hindsight after I started to get clear EWCM. I'm thinking it was a double surge and hoping my O was actually yesterday. The OPKs I use show the two peak days. The monitor is reusable it's Clear Blue advanced digital. Doesn't give the blinkie leading up to the peak days. As long as you put in a new strip it gives you a smiley or no smiley. I tested yesterday out of curiosity. Wanted to see how long my surge would be. I've certainly never had a cycle like this before. We BDd today. My DH has been a real trooper. I think we are both reaching the end of our ropes with this cycle though!
• @Saralee797 You could definitely be right! FX for you those temps keep rising and yesterday was O!!! :D

@BusinessWife Overall my birthday was nice. DH took me to my favorite Thai restaurant and they just got a some new things on the menu so we tried that. We're seeing Finding Dory this weekend because it just released here in Korea. Also, while I currently have a tiny Maltese (3.4lbs), I have a Newfoundland that had to stay with my parents when we came to Korea. He was about your dog's size at that age and is now 140lbs. He's on the lean side for a Newfoundland but I think that's because he was neutered before he was 2. We were going to wait but he was kicked out of his doggy socializing group for humping. He did a lot better after though haha. My husband loves German Shepherds. They scare me but that's because I was bit by one pretty severely as a child and in my heat I know it's just a training problem. Either way, my rule is that if a dog is over 30lbs it needs obedience training. My little girl is actually pretty well behaved without it, but she's also fairly submissive and scared of everything. My Newf needed to go through 2 levels of training just so that he could be handled and not drag us down the street.

@AliciaGoose Thanks for explaining! I feel like I still must be at the beginning of my surge. I've read that some women get positive opks for a few days in a row so maybe that's what's happening. I just took another CBAD and it was low again. Either way we're trying for at least EOD during the fw so time will tell!
