What's going on with baby this week? Her skull is continuing to harden and her neck is flexible so she can move her head around. HICCUPS galore, almost every day (and currently). She's moving around a ton which leaves me hopeful she'll get out of breech position.
Upcoming appointments? Tuesday (routine appt)
Rants/Raves/Questions? When do they start becoming bi-weekly appointments?
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Well, my pregnancy book says I should be eating sardines and anchovies this week, BLEH. Any suggestions with what to do with these in a recipe? I can't bring myself to eat them right out of the can. Also, I've been eating soooooooo much spinach lately ever since finding out I am borderline anemic. It's starting to get really redundant and I'm going to have to look up some shake recipes for my Nutribullet bc I need a change of pace!
GTKY: If you could be born in a different decade, which one would it be and why? I would say late 60's because I've always wanted to try out some of the 80s hairstyles and fashion, but have only been able to do it on Halloween (was Madonna one year). It would be a blast to use a can of aquanet in one sitting or to rock out lacy gloves. lol. I wouldn't want to be a dude during this era, though. Those nut-huggers and short gym shorts did not leave much to the imagination! Also I love the music and movies of the 80s, they always put me in a good mood.

What size is baby? According to the app....a zucchini? So does not make sense
What's going on with baby this week? Baby has started full on movement where I usually feel something once an hour, before this week it was only in the morning or night, so loving the constant feel of movement.
Upcoming appointments? @RedMar my every two week appts started at 28 wks. I had one yesterday for my 30 wks and then have another scheduled 7/20 for the 32 weeks.
Rants/Raves/Questions? The insomnia! Why oh why! I was doing so good, then the last 4 days - almost zero sleep. I'm currently functioning on 1.5 hours and dunkin coffee. I have to drive 4 hours after work tonight....so not looking forward to that. Rave: See 'baby this week'. So excited to feel so much movement
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Still loving the fried pickles....however only having them every few weeks.
GTKY: If you could be born in a different decade, which one would it be and why? Hmmm i'm obsessed with history, so I'd probably go with something in the 1700s...if I was born into a wealthy family, and only for a brief time. I really like indoor plumbing and AC too much to want to actually live back in that time. But I do love the history of it all.
What size is baby? Bump says an Eggplant. What To Expect says Cauliflower. WHY ARE THEY SO DIFFERENT?!
What's going on with baby this week? Baby girl is moving around a ton! And one/both of her feet must be up in my R side ribs because she kicks me there all the time. Sometimes it's just pressure like she's pushing, and them sometimes it's little jabs. I've been feeling most of her movement way over on my R side (never ever L side up high) which makes me wonder if my bump looks totally lopsided to the right?
Upcoming appointments? Not til the end of the month. I think that may be my last 4 week span between appts.
Rants/Raves/Questions? This is none of those but What To Expect told me last week that my uterus is the size of a basketball. For some reason that is terrifying to me, and I really don't understand how the human body does this!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? SI joint pain, L hip pain when sleeping which I've been able to help a little bit by keeping my knees/legs straight instead of bent up in front of me like I usually sleep. Restless legs are out of control. I want ice cream every day.
GTKY: If you could be born in a different decade, which one would it be and why? Ahh, this is a good one! I'm not sure about being born in whatever decade, but I'd love to experience a little bit of life as like a young 20 something in the 50s, strictly because of the fashion. Although to be totally honest, I find that there are terrifying things about each decade, and I have trouble deciding which are better/worse than the others!

He's getting so heavy and starting to make my lower back hurt. I've also had horrible heart burn and huge swollen feet

I would want to be born in the 50's, that way I could enjoy my teenage and young adult years in the 60's and 70's haha. I'm a hippie at heart and I love the 60's and 70's fashion

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Finding it very difficult to get my protein in for the day...and water for that matter. I feel full all of the time!
GTKY: If you could be born in a different decade, which one would it be and why? I love the idea of being a young adult in the 70s. Just seems so "free to be you and me"! Maybe that's because I live in Colorado and I feel like that's the attitude here, for the most part!
What size is baby? a squash?? I am believing these fruit/veggie comparisons less and less...
I bought a few new pairs of shoes on Amazon to get me through work, and I am praying they go back to normal. I am getting scared of 8 more weeks of this - feeling tired and stiff/sore all the time. I haven't had any exercise in two weeks, maybe that's part of it?
What's going on with baby this week? we had a 32 week appt yesterday and had our first ultrasound since 20 weeks! It was amazing to see the growth. He measured 4 lbs. 9 oz. and 90% percentile or something, but I know this can be way off. He's sort of head down, a little tilted, but big progress from frank breech at 20 weeks. I've been feeling major pressure on one side of my belly button maybe 2 inches above, and that's because little stinker has his legs completely stretched out and is pressing his feet in that area. We could see him doing it on the ultrasound.
Upcoming appointments? 34 week appointment in 2 weeks - getting my TDAP.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant - my feet have grown.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? None, but able to eat less and less.

I agree with others - there are parts I love about different decades (historical events, fashion, people, music), but I'm too comfortable with today's advances (medical, transportation, social justice, etc) and afraid of some of the scary parts of history.

What's going on with baby this week? Well this baby is feeling very cramped because he/she is constantly stretching out and it HURTS!!!! I have a very active LO in here....

What size is baby? Foam finger, croquembouche (I think that's how it's spelled?), lettuce & small otter.
What's going on with baby this week? She's moving a ton this week. I'm actually a little concerned today because she hasn't been as active as she has been recently. We gave 3D ultrasound a try this week but baby's head down and when she wasn't up against the placenta, she had the cord in front of her. We did see some chubby cheeks and full lips though. Tons of hiccups! She had them three times yesterday and again as I type this. Is that ok or too much?
Upcoming appointments? 32w appointment next week
Rants/Raves/Questions? Just what I mentioned above. She was having a few lazy days about 4-5 weeks ago and, when I mentioned it at the last appointment, the NP was adamant that I call her as soon as it happened again. I'm kick counting and will call her if she doesn't move enough.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Hip pain! My hips don't like me nesting. Haven't been craving much recently, I have GD so I'm sticking to my diet but I really like it and can eat almost anything in moderation. Ice cream is our nightly snack now.
GTKY: I don't know. I think being born in the 80s has given me (and the rest of my generation) a lot of privilege in terms of what has happened in the world in all decades past. Things seem to be going to s**t right now so that goes to show no decade is perfect. Can you tell I'm a cynic? Lol

We like to play this game where he sticks his butt out and I poke it till he moves it and then I poke it again. Then I'll poke my belly and he will nudge my hand.
It could all be a huge coincidence but I am choosing to believe that we are playing a game

I liked being born in the 90's! I got to see a really cool transition in the generations through the technological advancements. I can't wait to tell my grand kids about rotary phones, or tell them that I was born in the 1900's and not the 2000's.
Can you imagine how old we are going to seem to them??

Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I am craving sweets pretty bad the last couple of weeks. I came home from the grocery store with cookies, brownies, ice cream sandwiches, chocolate bars and tums last week!
GTKY: If you could be born in a different decade, which one would it be and why? I think it would be interesting to be in my early late teens early 20's in the 1920s, so 1900? Mainly for the fashion and music!

What's going on with baby this week? -shes a little piglet, gets hiccups a lot lately, like a couple other ladies have mentioned about their LOs. in fact she has them right now, hehe

GTKY: If you could be born in a different decade, which one would it be and why? -I agree with most of you, every decade his its issues since we are so spoiled now a days. If i could just visit a few days in the 1900-20s I would enjoy seeing how it was...other than that i loved being born in the 80s and growing up in the 90s. i loved the 90s!

What's going on with baby this week? She's hanging out head down and I feel her kick me on the right side mostly. So fun to watch the belly move at night!
Upcoming appointments? Just had one today and got my Tdap. My GD numbers "are beautiful" according to my midwife, wohoo! She said she'd check again three weeks then I may be able to stop checking 4x a day which would be so nice. I have an ultrasound in two weeks, I can't wait to see her again! And fingers crossed find out my placenta had moved up. Hospital tour tomorrow and we saw one potential pediatrician today, whew!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone else doing the pediatrician hunt? There are a lot of options here and I'm feeling extra picky about it so I'm looking at a couple. My rave is that the nursery is like 85% done which is so exciting!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I swear by pumpkin seeds for preventing leg cramps now. I have lots of cravings for sweets not that I can't have most of them with the GD so that kinda sucks. Still tying to find other tasty treats that fit with the diet.

I wouldn't change mine. I grew up with all of the technological advances so I appreciate what old school really means, Science has evolved rapidly during my lifetime. And I'm afraid any earlier decades would put me at s significant disadvantage because of discrimination
