spoiled watermelon

I bought a watermelon on Friday and just cut it open. I ate two pieces and then my kids complained that it smelled weird. I looked at the rest of the pieces and smelled then and they was def an off smell and it was mushy. Great. Now I am freaking out that I am going to get sick. Has anyone eaten bad watermelon before?

Yep. Not a ton of it, but enough to figure out it was definitely past its prime. I never got sick from it. Try not to worry!

Sounds like it was just overripe. I doubt you'll get sick from it.

I hope you are feeling fine, but I can't help but think "spoiled watermelon" should be what we call pregnant women we don't like/are judging.

"Look at her, what a spoiled watermelon!"
"You'll never believe what that spoiled watermelon said to me...."
"Stop acting like such a spoiled watermelon!"

Hehehe, at least I crack myself up.

My husband ate some spoiled watermelon once, he said it tasted funny but ate it anyway, he had the shits for a day or two that was about it.
