There are still a few things I need to buy for the baby before he gets here and I'm having a hard time fitting them into the budget and it's stressing me out. I feel like October is coming up fast (and it may be even sooner if my cervix continues to weaken) and I feel unprepared!
I ate half a bag of cheezies before bed last night. I have quit participating in the fitness thread cause everything has basically went out the window. I'm at the point I don't care what I look like anymore cause no matter what I'm going to be huge anyways.

I want a quesadilla, I NEED one... I can taste the gooey, warm cheese, the perfectly heated tortilla, the sour cream and guacamole, the grilled chicken steaming inside...
@AllyTheKid Now I'm hungry, but I don't want to go back downstairs. I'm making raspberry cobbler for dessert tomorrow night. I'll just have to dream of that to tide me over.
I thought today was going to be a terrible day. My in-laws are in town (and I like them but I'm super awkward around them), my husband had a four-hour call this afternoon, and my toddler didn't nap. But then my in-laws took my grumpy toddler out of the house when my husband started his call and I had the house to myself for two and a half hours! I used the time to clean and make dinner, but still. Pretty great.
I decided I'm not going to have anymore sugar/desserts until after my GD test next Wednesday. Let's hope I can resist the ice cream cravings for a week! I know it might not actually help, but it can't hurt right??

We got back home from vacation tonight and I hadn't eaten in almost 9 hours. I made a pack of frozen (and cheesy) Brussels sprouts, followed immediately by a bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds. If anything fits in this random thread, that "meal" does.
If you're flying, wear compression socks! My cankle game was top notch at my party because I didn't have enough time to put them on before flying. Wore them on the way home, and everything looks normal
@SpaceBurger That made me LOL. The description of course, not the situation.
@coffee89 I've been thinking it's time to find something to wrap my middle up in for support as well, standing for any extended period of time is brutal on my hips, lower back, and belly.
@coffee89@AllyTheKid I've been wearing a support belt for the past week or so and it has really helped my hip problems. I was even able to walk around a zoo and science museum all day Saturday without feeling like the lower half of my body was going to fall off.
@AllyTheKid I just have the basic $18 one from Motherhood. It's basically just a strap that you Velcro underneath your bump. It's a little uncomfortable to wear while sitting down and I'm constantly readjusting it when I stand up. But it really does seem to help. Regarding KD- I was really surprised that he decided to leave, but I don't hate him for it. I think after spending so many years with the Thunder, we all assumed he would stay here forever. But if someone gave me $54 mil, I leave and never look back. How do you feel about it?
@ball4768 I'm also surprised, but not angry. He has just been so involved with the state after the tornados and EVERYTHING that has happened the past few years he has kind of been Oklahoma's golden child for a while. I just didn't see it coming is all, but I understand doing what you feel is best for yourself in his case so I can't be upset.
@ibabyloveb87 I'll be eating normally before because I'll be eating normally afterward, and I would hate for there to be a problem that goes undetected because I "cheated" the system. That said, I'm not sure if you can even game the system that way.
Yesterday before bed I ate half a bag of cheezies, well tonight while making supper I ate the other half and ruined my dinner. Now I'm laying in bed hungry cause I ate junk mostly for supper and I'm too tired and lazy to walk my butt downstairs and make anything.

It's 3:18am and I'm sitting in bed with stupid insomnia again.
Does anyone take anything while pregnant to help them sleep regularly? So far this pregnancy I've only ever take a Benadryl one night (after a particularly bad insomnia night the night before), but wondering about Unisom.
I take Unisom for nausea and when I've tried to come off of it to see if the nausea is better, I don't sleep as well so the Unisom has to be doing SOMETHING to help me sleep. It definitely doesn't knock me out like Benadryl does though so you may be better off sticking to what you're taking
Wasn't sure where to even post this but I am just like in shock right now. My neighbor's 4 month old just died on the way to the hospital of pneumonia. Two days ago she wasn't even sick. Even last night she barely seemed sick. By the time they decided to bring her to the hospital it was too late. I'm just stuck thinking about this and terrified at the same time. Life in Africa can be so hard.
So as I was headed to school there was a group of landscapers taking care of a Ranch Entrance and yard, and they all just so happened to be super well built, bearded, shirtless, and tan... Good Morning to me!
I'm on a local Fall Moms group on FB... joined so that I could meet some local moms and start to build a better bond with other folks due around the same time.... you guys are so much better lol. I mean, these girls are perfectly nice and I absolutely would be willing to meet up somewhere public with them but the group is so boring! No one really talks about anything, like at all. All this to say, you guys are my favorite pregnant people
the weather here is super hot 46C which is about 114F, and I saw an amazing recipe for Pina Colada with vanilla Ice cream, and now all I can think about is making one for myself afterwork... I can't wait!
Thanks @mrszoess and @bnsmith85 I just posted in the symptoms thread as well (which is probably where I should've put this in the first place). If it keeps up I'm definitely talking to my doctor. I went to bed at 10:00pm last night, up at 10:30pm to pee, then DH woke me up at 12:30am, then woke me up snoring at 2:47am and then I was up for the day. I basically pulled an all-nighter and I'm dying here. I sent him a series of beligerant texts this morning and he FINALLY made an apt for a sleep study for the snoring. Thank goodness!
@kmolletz omg I can't even imagine. That is so sad and awful.

Also, unrelated but from one OK girl to another, how about the KD leaving the Thunder?
