@Pupatella RLP for me is a sharp pain across my lower abdomen, usually when I go from sitting to standing, some kind of other activity, or if I sneeze, etc. The only way I can describe Braxton Hicks is a tightening sensation of your uterus (almost like clenching your fist, it doesn't "hurt" but it is kind've uncomfortable). I can also actually feel my abdomen (uterus) get hard to the touch. It usually lasts 30 seconds or so and then goes away on its own or faster if I change positions. For me it happens mostly when I'm sitting down.
Thanks @MRSCORKER!! I've been having random sharp pains on the low left side. It gets pretty intense for about 4-5 minutes, and then releases. Maybe this is just more intense RLP than before? It's been happening once every couple of days for about the past week.
I have had plenty of RLP. It can almost bring me to tears if it's bad enough. It's definitely a sharp pain.
I'm not sure if I have had BH or not. I can't decide if I'm just starting to feel Baby B when he's bunched up on my left side and I'm standing or if I'm feeling BH. It really is only on one side right where he usually hangs out. Think that's just a new sensation of movement?? I have really only been feeling him when I am sitting or lying down.

BH tightens your entire uterus, not just one side or position. So if you feel a tight spot in just one area, it's probably baby. My contractions make my entire bump hard as a rock, heavy feeling, and almost like a tight muscle/Charlie horse feeling. Not painful, but uncomfortable until it subsides. Water fixes it and usually laying on my side.
RLP- sharp stabbing/tearing pain that happens after coughs, sneezes, or sudden movements for me. Either along the center or sides of my abdomen depending on how I am moving at the time. BH- Strong tightening sensation within the entire uterus, not just one spot in particular, your entire belly will feel hard during the contraction. Some people say their's aren't painful, but mine take my breath away sometimes so keep in mind that the levels of discomfort they cause can vary greatly!
I just wanted to add that in the last week I noticed when I have BH, while my entire uterus tightens, if the baby is on one side (which he usually is tucked in my right side), there will be a bulge on that side where he is. I guess my uterus is tightening up around him and my child is too stubborn to move haha
I had horribly painful BH last night. Kept me up half the night. This happened over a month ago and they told me it was probably so painful because of dehydration. Now I drink plenty of water every day, so not really sure why they were so bad. I'm hoping that doesn't become a nightly thing. My poor husband is exhausted today.
Horrible upper back pain. It happens when I don't sleep with the snoogle (some days I like to give the snoogle a break, so I can cuddle more with DH), and it happens when I've been on my feet all day. SO painful. It's like I want to pop my spine, but twisting, but I can't.... I want someone to crack my back bones.
Almost thinking about going to a chiropractor. Has anyone been to a chiro while pregnant? Did it help much?

I LOVE the chiropractor. I haven't been while pregnant but I'm going to start going this week for weekly appointments until I deliver. Not only does it feel great but I want to make sure my hips are in alignment for delievery!

I'm gonna research some chiros in my neighborhood that do adjustments for pregnant women. Now I'm excited to try! Let me know how yours goes @MRSCORKER! You have me convinced.

I'm pretty sure any chiropractor is able to see pregnant women. They will adjust their care to you whether you're pregnant or injured or have any other condition. I would try to find one covered by your insurance!

annabenanna YES! I've been going to the chiro the past 3 weeks and it has helped so much, especially right when my middle and upper back meet! I made sure to ask my OB about it in front of DH, as he thinks chiros are a scam - not only did my OB say no problem, but he recommended I go up until delivery. When I found my chiro (I had just moved), I was told they are all trained to adjust pregnant women. Enjoy!!!
@MRSCORKER I am scared of chiropractors (another irrational fear I have) but I've also wondered if I should go before delivery!! I'm not sure if any in our town do/have done anything for pregnant women, but let us know how it goes for you!!

@LizD317, DH thinks chiros are scammers too! I'm still gonna go though!
They might not be able to cure diseases but it feels damn good and that's reason enough for me. I know some people swear the chiro can fix anything and everything but I view them more as physical therapists. I have a desk job and about once a year, I get the worst knots in my back that pull my alignment all out of wack. A few trips to the chiro and I'm good as new!

I've been going to the chiropractor for the last 4 years, including the 25 weeks I've been pregnant. It feels wonderful, and helps with the aches and pains. I second mrscorker- look for one on your insurance- my copy is very affordable, even once a week, like I've been doing.
I have spent time seeing chiropractors before but I have mixed feelings. My first experience didn't help and I ended up having back surgery instead. My second experience seemed to make things worse. It culminated with me rolling off the table telling her I could not bear to lie on my stomach at all and her saying snidely that she didn't know how I was going to get my massage then. The massage therapist said "no problem, I'll do you on your side like a pregnant woman." Needless to say... I am trying to figure out how to get in for a massage with the therapist in that office without seeing the chiropractor. (Not saying it's always bad, but with my problems with disk damage, I'm not convinced chiropractics help - actual physical therapy did, though.)
Hey guys! Anyone have BV during a previous pregnancy? And if so, how did it differ from a yeast infection? I'm pretty sure I have the latter, and will be calling my doctor in the morning, but just curious because BV scares me. Lol
