This food conversation is walking the fine line of the women's right to choose in my mind. Her body her decisions.
We might be soul mates. I'm pro-choice when it comes to pregnant food decisions. I had GD first pregnancy and understand the importance and difficulty not eating all the things when knocked up. If I got so much as a side eye for inhaling a first tri cookie, my husband would be in trouble.
Yup. It's such a slippery slope when we start regulating pregnant women's behavior. It's why I also got all fired up over the offensive CDC infographic about drinking 6 months ago. Women are people, not just baby holders or, in that case, potential baby holders. Should we make good choices when we can? Of course! But I'm pretty sure anyone who goes to the trouble of joining a baby and pregnancy community is probably top-10% in terms of solid baby preparedness.
That's really positive estimating on your half
RBG for the win!
This line of conversation right here. I'm freakin dead. I love you guys.
My TW is multiple coworkers. We have a big 6/30 deadline coming up, and my coworker decided to dump all of his work on me before going on vacation. Thanks dude.
Also, I hate when people want me to update something, leave a comment in a word document to do so, THEN NEVER TELL ME ABOUT IT. I don't just go opening up random documents looking for comments.
One more day then I have a week and a half off work for a staycation. Can't. Wait.
I nominate this lady on another baby app I'm on who posted that she felt her first OB appointment was too far away so she went to the ER and lied and said she was bleeding in order to get an ultrasound. And all those defending her against those of us advising "don't lie to doctors" and "you took valuable time and resources away from real patients" by saying that everyone lies and if you don't like it, don't comment. Ah!
I, too, have a DH who feels like he can comment on what I'm eating. Normally I follow a strict/healthy/clean diet but since getting KU, the only thing that sounds OK enough to eat are carbs and carbs with a side of carbs. I'm not happy about it but if that's what I need right now, then that's what I'm going to have. We've made a little joke out of it and every time he makes a comment, I remind him that when he's KU, he can do whatever he wants with his body.

@fourPsinapod I heard they quit with those registries a few years ago. My whole family and husbands whole family all said do not call registries were over. I have been just dealing with it. I'm glad you said you just did it, im definitely doing it again.
@yogadevil all that throwing up sounds like torture. I hope it ends soon for you.
My husband has an app that blocks them somehow.
