@mokay19@MelissaM090 Yes, PCOS is so different for everyone! My sister, who is 5'0", 125lbs, has two healthy children (she has had other pregnancies as well, but that's not a conversation for here lol) so she has no trouble getting pregnant. She did have really bad acne growing up, and she also has hirsutism in the same area as I do. So yes, it definitely presents itself differently in everyone, even siblings. I wish I had the willpower to stay at a healthy weight, I know it would help tremendously.
@GrabberBlue2010 He wants to try some things that are supposed to help naturally first (better sleep, cold showers, diet changes, working out more, zinc supplements) and see if that can help. But I think he will probably agree to go in the fall if we don't get KO by then.

R/R/CS: I went to my acupuncturist for my weekly appointment yesterday for fertility acupuncture and she starts talking about how I'm only 28 so I have "a lot of vitality left" (which I mean sure I should be pretty fertile at this age.Ya know, should be.) and how I should start meditation now because soon I'll totally have little kids running around the house driving me crazy. Then she ends with "if you don't get your period in 3 weeks you should definitely come back and we'll start early pregnancy acupuncture! I have a really good feeling about this cycle for you!"
**TW loss and utter bullshit. If you're enraged by bullshit stop here. If you're sensitive to discussion of loss stop here**
My acupuncturist also talked about this whole concept of the approaching "dark moon" and tried to give me some brief rundown of the astrological significance. I'll be honest I wasn't really listening and given my extremely limited knowledge of astrology I probably didn't even understood what I did hear correctly. She lost me after something about how the dark moon is associated with loss and the death and rebirth cycles of nature. Something about how during the dark moon and these death rebirth cycles the "grave and the womb become the same place" and I'm thinking "how fucking appropriate. I guess my womb is always stuck in this "dark moon" phase or something." I'm not sure what the fuck that was all about. But her tone of voice and facial expressions made it seem like she was being positive and that this was somehow supposed to give me some newfound optimism or something. I'm not sure how?
ETA: I'm also just super sensitive right now because today is the day I should be giving birth. Ya know, if I hadn't had my first MC (at least first during TTC) back in November.

I have a couple that generally go over pretty well: Dill salmon, Parmesan crusted chicken stuffed with sauteed onions, avocado pasta, and for desert I make an amazing Boston creme cake with chocolate ganache. The cake is sorta a once a year thing though because I'd gain so much weight if I made it more often.

@Krys um.. I think you just gave me tonight's dinner. That sounds delicious! @momtoleo Happy Anniversary!!! @ahrains your chart is so confusing the way this most recent temp is so low, I don't trust that you've actually ovulated. But you have done a great job of HIO! So if you did O, you still had good timing!
Cycle/Month: 2/4 (1 TTCAL)

WAYDTGKU: PNV, extra folic acid, fish oil, baby aspirin
R/R/CS: My temp only went up about .25 degrees instead of .4. I'm afraid it will try to make today ovulation day. But I had EWCM really late last night so I bet O happened overnight and the mild temp rise was just on the early side. But it is the highest temp so far (excluding my sunburn, drinking discarded temp).
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefoods My DH loves The Pioneer Woman's Lasagna as well as her Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf. Seriously he requests these all the time.
@MelissaM090, thanks for sharing the southwest roasted potato salad recipe! That will be in my future for sure. I'm still really new here, but I was really sorry to see that cycle 7 wasn't the one for you.
@leekat14, great news about the follicle! Wow, I'm sorry your job is such a time-suck.
@GrabberBlue2010, I'm always looking for more pumpkin recipes. YUMMY! I'm an eat-pumpkin-all-year-long kinda gal.
@momtoleo, happy anniversary! Also, that salad sounds right up my alley!
@hezzer78, I've made a similar stuffed sweet potato recipe. You are so right that these are so versatile!
@KirstinH88, HIO in a car is one of my fondest memories. I'll just leave it at that...
@Saralee797, crab toast with aioli, UMM, Yes please! I always happen to find the most time-consuming recipes, but they almost always pay off!
@jnalexander2, UGH, so sorry about the family financial issue. I've been in a similar place with one of my brothers who has drug issues (and likely Bi-Polar). He's called me numerous times saying that if he doesn't get XX amount of money, he will be hurt, killed, etc. Of course you never know what might happen, so it always freaks me out. I'm not giving him any more money though. I've had ENOUGH. We could certainly give more money, but that's not the point (although they always use that as an excuse to get you to give them money). Both DH and I are on the same page - if something were to happen to our finances, we would be responsible people and sell some of our possessions to make money. Asking for money from family (or anyone else) would be a last resort. I hope your family gets on your side, and soon!
@RedBreast35, you might just be my new BFF with that buffalo chicken quinoa recipe!!!

WAYDTGKU: AF is hanging on by a thread, but as soon as she checks out, it's go time! I've been taking PNV for months, but this will be my first month using opks. According to Wondfo, I shouldn't start testing until CD12 or so, but I really want to start at CD9 for fear that I'll O super early and then miss it! Probably just first time jitters, but still... Also temping, CM, and preseed.
R/R/CS: Meh. It's Tuesday and work is super sssssllllllooooowwwww. We have friends coming to visit this holiday weekend, so I'm excited about that!
GTKY: @Krys, this is a great GTKY (and that Asian chicken sounds awesome!) at least for me because I have a serious obsession with food. If DH and I weren't both paying for grad school loans, I'd be all over culinary school. Anyway, here's a recipe for caramel pumpkin blondies that I happened to win a baking contest with - https://www.laurenslatest.com/ooey-gooey-caramel-pumpkin-blondies-with-chocolate-and-walnuts/. Seriously, so good! Mine came out more cake-like, so I added a cream cheese frosting.

The best dishes I've made with it so far are Pad Thai Zoodles and a lower carb/fat Mushroom Alfredo Zoodles. My other favorite gadget is my electric pressure cooker. I got it as wedding gift and only broke it out in the last 6 months. It is AMAZING and such a time saver. The last thing I made it in was pork ribs with a homemade lower carb barbecue sauce...all in about 40 minutes. Yum!
@GrabberBlue2010 You are more than welcome lol we always have LOTS of leftovers @BertieMeetsGertie I wish I can say the situation has gotten better but it hasn't. @BusinessWife Thanks love!! @BertieMeetsGertie So true! I get Bon Appetite every month and the recipes are so complicated but always come out delicious! I just have to be in the mood to put in the werk werk werk lol Also, I will definitely be making those blondies they look amaze. @RedBreast35 I know what you mean on the texture thing. I actually don't care for the puddings either. I think freezing does help with the texture (unless you let it melt in your mouth type of deal). I was also thinking you could totally sub the chia seeds for protein powder too. I haven't tried that yet though. FX for your O soon!!
WAYDTGKU: Charting, PNV, EPO, B6, CoQ10, Mucinex and OPKs, oh, and I keep forgetting Preseed when needed, FWP when we were in the same zip code
R/R/CS: Just waiting for more temp rises, and hoping the surprising amount of, um, fluid, I have going right now is EWCM. I don't normally have visible CM, so I've never tracked it, but this is stretchy, and I'm pretty sure I've finally experienced it, LOL. I did also get a temp rise today, but it wasn't the spike I was hoping for. The later I O, the worse our timing since we won't see each other until Thursday. I imagine it's possible I could O that late, but so far CD17 is my latest, and that is CD18. I'm sure I'll be jumping OH when he comes home anyway, but I've promised a BJ since he's been such a trooper about giving his seed when I demand it. FX it was EWCM so we have decent timing. And so I don't have to go back on my promise, LOL.
GTKY: My go to is shepherd's pie. I found a recipe that we all love in the Eat This Not That cookbook. I tried to find it online to link it, but couldn't. I wouldn't call it super healthy since I use a lot of butter in my potatoes for the topping, but the filling isn't too bad as it's lean ground beef. I think what makes it yummyis the fresh rosemary and that I use chicken broth made from Better Than Bullion. I make it pretty strong, so it's flavorful. I also use a little more tomato paste than it calls for.

I know right? She just doesn't completely understand the fertility cycle. She also told me "The best time to get pregnant is 3-4 days after your period." and "Well you both [my brother and I] were conceived a couple days AFTER ovulation." *Sigh*. No wonder I had no idea until I read TCOYF.

@jnalexander2 Ah man - that's a tough pickle to be in for sure. Good for you for sticking to your guns and not caving into giving out money. And that pork looks delicious!!
@ahrains Ahh! I don't have much to say about your chart except mine looks very similar - or at least, starting to, this month. I have not had very constant sleep - and typically wake up multiple times in the course of the night. Mine have been jumping over 1.5 degrees.
@MandyBeeSLP So sorry about your mom But that's great your dad is on your side.
@MelissaM090@Hezzer78@Mokay19@Mrsdaddario If you guys like Franks Hot Sauce, I encourage you to try Sweet Baby Ray's Buffalo sauce. It is also really good. DH and I also make hot wings at home. We have a deep fryer and then just roll the chicken wings around in the buffalo sauce. So good!
Also @mokay19, I make mine a little different I use a cup of feta instead of the sharp chedder cheese. But now I want to try it your way too!
@mrsdaddario Also reminds me of my younger days. I'm sure it will be super uncomfortable, but we gotta do what we gotta do! Also, your buffalo chicken sandwiches sound so good! I think I'm going to put this on the menu for next week!
@jnalexander2 I HATE when people aske me for money. Especially family. It puts you in such an awkward position. I am more financially stable than my siblings and they seem to think since I make a "ton" of money that I have all this extra money to throw around. But its really not true! I have bills and 3 kids that I'm helping to support as well.
@ahrains What the heck is FF thinking? Your temps are pretty all over the place and maybe I could see the ovulation shift if your temp today wasn't almost to coverline...idk. Doesn't seem like O to me.
@MandyBeeSLP I think the whole "relax" advice is my least favorite advice. I didn't start TTC by temping or checking CM, but after a few months, I decided that the "relax" method wasn't working. And after I started temping, I realized my O date was a few days later than what I originally thought it was. I also got the "relax" speech from a friend through text yesterday and occasionally DH will say it. I obviously just ignore him. Sounds like you had a good talk with your H. Hopefully he can get in and get some testing done so that you guys can get some answers. And that corn dip!! OMG! I'm making it!
@Dilynne The tortilla pizza. Do you put it in the oven? Or crisp the tortilla first before adding toppings? Also, do you replace marinara for a salsa? OMG. I'm having so many wonderful ideas of tortilla pizza now.
@NamelessAria your acupuncturist sounds a bit loony! Can she just keep her mouth shut and poke you? Also, I'm so very sorry that you are having all the emotions from your first loss today. I also have experienced loss and know that on the EDD I will be a VERY hot mess. I've already looked into that day, and luckily its on a Saturday, so I can just lay in bed all day and cry. Creepy internet hugs to you!
@Aurora1973 One month DH made the mistake of promising me that if I have him one last BJ, that he wouldn't ask for anymore until I got pregnant! HAHAHAHAH!! Poor guy. I at least made him stick with his promise until AF showed. Now I've told him no BJs during FW.
@MandyBeeSLP Sorry about that while convo with your mom. This is for me, a perfect case in point example why I don't talk to my mother about TTC at. All. Not even a little bit. I wish I could, but I know for our relationship, just no. Not going to go there. :/
@NamelessAria omg I just saw your eta... <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/d5/foywphft3xpu.gif" alt="">
@KristinH88 So basically you have a "raw" uncrispy tortilla. You put your pizza sauce (I don't do salsa, but if you like salsa that might be good!), then cheese and toppings (I do chicken and mushroom. Delicious) and put it in the oven tl the cheese in the centre is melty and delicious looking. It's so great.
R/R/CS: Not much to report. Af is gone so just waiting!!
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood I never cook so I'm no good for this question. Sorry ladies! All your recipes sound amazing though, thanks for sharing!
@leekat14 wow no days off for a month?! I couldn't do it!
@hezzer78 Thanks so much it's a recipe I made up honestly lol! And DH has already declared we won't give her anything! @KirstinH88 Exactly yes I may be more financially stable (me and DH own our own business) but i am not an ATM. If it was a true emergency then I would be much more open to it but she can't even tell me what she needs it for!! But @MandyBeeSLP I am so sorry about that convo with your Mom, honestly mine can be the same way at times. You just have to pick and choose the things you talk to her about...just for your sanity and the relationship you all have. I know I can't talk to mine about TTC because she doesn't even want to understand, her response always is just have sex everyday...I'm like really

R/R/CS: I posted about this yesterday but I got my AMH levels back yesterday and they are 'very low' (.22) - I'm super bummed but I already have an consult appt with an RE in a couple of weeks so at least we are taking some steps and prepared to take a more aggressive approach.
In other news, my OPK test was low yesterday and straight to peak today which is weird in itself, not to mention I'm only on day 9. So there's that. I'm not trusting that I O until my temp has a significant rise.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? I just remembered that there is a Blue Apron waiting for me at home and I have no idea what is so I'll be trying a new recipe tonight.

R/R/CS: Finally! I had my annual today, and I talked to my Gyn. He said we will try one more cycle of Clomid, and we will monitor it (hooray!) and if I don't ovulate this time he's going to refer me to an RE. I'll go see the RE, but I know that I can't afford injectables, so that might be a temporary breaking point until I can save up the money. He asked if I was in good health, and I said yeah. He confirmed I don't have diabetes based on my blood work. (Yeah, I know. People always think that but are shocked to be wrong.)
The sunburn is terrible! I woke up repeatedly last night in terrible pain. I put coconut oil on one side just to test out and see if it worked any better. It did seem to help some. So now I know, coconut oil helps it heal a little faster. Not fast enough!

@Mythril YAY!! So excited for you! Also, if you end up going to the RE, ask about Letrozole aka Femara. If you haven't already tried it, it works a lot of times with PCOS patients who didn't respond well to Clomid. It's less expensive than injectables and it doesn't have the "shelf life" of Clomid. As in, it's safe to take for multiple cycles and multiple times within a cycle, depending on your need for it. I'm happy the ball is rolling again for you after such a long cycle!
@mrsdaddario I thought about asking this doctor about Letrozole because that's what I had heard, but at this point I'm ready to move on from him. I feel like an RE will actually care about this more.

24 cycles temping / 6 ntnp / 9 ttc Cd5 All the things I O'd crazy early last cycle (cd11) so I think I'm going to plan to start the mucinex/opks tomorrow for about cd6-16 instead of 7-17. I think I can safely credit the Ovaboost and/or B6 for the early O, since that was really the only thing I was doing differently, plus the progesterone, which lengthened my LP and made my tail-end spotting MUCH much lighter. Here's hoping it all adds up to better luck for us this cycle!
There was something somewhat recently both DH and I remember as being a great one to repeat, but now neither one of us can remember what it was! Lol Is that terrible or what!?

My acupuncturist also talked about this whole concept of the approaching "dark moon" and tried to give me some brief rundown of the astrological significance. I'll be honest I wasn't really listening and given my extremely limited knowledge of astrology I probably didn't even understood what I did hear correctly. She lost me after something about how the dark moon is associated with loss and the death and rebirth cycles of nature. Something about how during the dark moon and these death rebirth cycles the "grave and the womb become the same place" and I'm thinking "how fucking appropriate. But her tone of voice and facial expressions made it seem like she was being positive and that this was somehow supposed to give me some newfound optimism or something. I'm not sure how?

My DH loves The Pioneer Woman's Lasagna as well as her Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf. Seriously he requests these all the time.
Here's my favorite easy dish ever: Garlic Pasta!!
But I seriously use half a bag of cheese in the pot, and then I sprinkle more cheese in my bowl on top!!

I'm really into kitchen gadgets right now and experimenting with recipes. I'm obsessed with my Vegetti Pro spiralizer. Yum!

@BertieMeetsGertie I wish I can say the situation has gotten better but it hasn't. They are saying if something bad happens to her it's my fault because I could have helped her. My DH is like no we are not sending money to her to be used for God only knows what reason. This is our hard earned money, we are not going to just give it away.

I think what makes it yummy is the fresh rosemary and that I use chicken broth made from Better Than Bullion. I make it pretty strong, so it's flavorful. I also use a little more tomato paste than it calls for.

WAYDTGKU: temping, opk, lots of sex
I just remembered that there is a Blue Apron waiting for me at home and I have no idea what is so I'll be trying a new recipe tonight.
edited because I mis-counted cycles
2017 - egg retrieval #1 - 3 eggs, 0 embryos appropriate for transfer; ER #2 2 eggs, 0 embryos on day 3; ER #3 1 egg 0 embryos
moved to donor egg in summer 2017; 35 eggs retrieved; 19 fertilized; 9 total embryos
Fresh transfer Dec 2017= BFP! baby boy born 8/22/18

Sometimes you may have more than one LH surge in a month, so you're likely right that this isn't O yet. I would keep up with all the sex and continuing the OPKs until, like you said, you see the rise.

WAYDTGKU: Taking Provera to start a new cycle.
GTKY: So many! Strawberry lemonade is a crowd pleaser. I make it from scratch. And ginger beef is a favorite of my SIL. My room mate loves my Japanese curry recipe, too. My husband like my beef stew.

I O'd crazy early last cycle (cd11) so I think I'm going to plan to start the mucinex/opks tomorrow for about cd6-16 instead of 7-17.
