WAYDTGKU: Temping and PNV...and impatiently waiting to be on the same continent as my husband
R/R/CS: Nada TTC related. Things are uneventful. Still super light OPKs, so yay for that! Work related, I feel like I'm getting to be in the home stretch of this trip. I decided over the weekend to really try to change my attitude about the situation (which is a messed up one to say the least) and really try to focus on building a good relationship with the new folks that are in place. It doesn't make sense to continue to just be pissed at things that I can't change, and these new peeps are legit trying and seem like they do "get it", so I need to put in the effort on my end to be as friendly as possible and build that bond. I've had, and still have, great relationships with people from all over the world that we've done business with in the past and are no longer with. Looking at that, it made me feel really bad that I haven't really given these guys a chance. My day was much more enjoyable yesterday, and I'm hoping the rest of the week goes the same way.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood
For dinner, I tried this Asian Sweet Chili Chicken the other night before I left, and it was AWESOME: https://www.carlsbadcravings.com/asian-sweet-chili-sesame-chicken/ The only thing I did differently was no sesame oil (I don't care for it), and I didn't use a crock pot (so I just baked the chicken and shredded it, and did the sauce on the stove). I have an impossible time making anything with chicken that my husband likes, and even he liked it (SECONDS)!
For a dessert, I made this key lime cheesecake recipe for my mom's birthday in late May, and everyone liked it so much, it was requested for father's day. https://www.melskitchencafe.com/amazing-key-lime-cheesecake/ I couldn't find key limes, so I used the lime and lemon juice combo. I also LOVE her trick of the pan of boiling water on the rack below the cheesecake - they both baked perfectly with no cracks! So smart!
WAYDTGKU: I'll start my 4th round of letrozole tomorrow and I have an HSG next week. After that.. the usual stuff.
R/R/CS: AF showed yesterday, a couple of days earlier than expected, which is fine because my FW will be more convenient. I should find out today the date and time of my HSG next week. Cycle 8 was hard to type.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood I talked about my 'southwest roasted potato salad' on Friday's TWW complete with pictures of the ingredients. Its delicious. I also made a hot buffalo chicken dip on Sunday (the recipe was from the Frank's Red Hot site) and DH went nuts.

R/R/CS: my job is exhausting at the moment. No days off for a month, and my co-workers suck. I'm hoping stress doesn't affect this cycle but after seeing the dr I do feel better that my endometriosis isn't doing anything and that I have a follicle hanging out and ready for action. I wish I could be more active but i do lurk!
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood
Summer go to is a corn salsa. Yellow and white corn, black beans, tomatoes, cilantro, green chilies, olive oil, vinegar, garlic powder and salt/pepper. Yum
WAYDTGKU: Nada. Coming to terms that it may be an anovulatory cycle. Womp Womp Womp
R/R/CS: Nothing really. DH pulled some kind of muscle last week under his shoulder blade. So I've been taking care of my man child. It was getting worse until I started prompting him to got to the ER. Now it is "getting better"... mmmhhhmmmm I'm watching you there bud... Temp went down a bit today. So as stated above, I think I am just going to let it go and wait for AF. I haven't been feeling real great the past couple day and my hips are killing me. So I have been trying to stretch them out. Has helped a tad. I think MIL's boyfriend and his friends are leaving to go back home today. I am ready for things to go back to normal. Overall pretty decent day so far.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? This layered pumpkin dessert. Even those who do not like pumpkin has always come back for seconds and thirds.
@Krys - I am loving the turn around in attitude!!! That is such an awesome way to look at it all. And it is great they are legit trying. It will make things way easier for you and hopefully make the time pass much quicker. If there are two things I love in this world... it is Key Lime.. and Cheesecake... the two together?? Yas please. I do accept delivery.. and I tip generously.. jussssstttt sayin....
@leekat14 - UHG so sorry you are going through that at work! Those long shifts with no days off are for the birds TBH. And sucky co-workers make it worse. Hoping this month moves quick for you! Will you get a decent amount of time off once the month is over?
@krys glad you're starting to see things in a better light! I hope you will enjoy and make the most of the rest of your trip! :) @MelissaM090 So glad - if you have to be back hereat all - at least the timing works out better for you! I know you have a busy time ahead... ((hugs)) you can do this

R/R/CS: It's our anniversary! We're celebrating this weekend, since Tuesday anniversaries are tough. Really not sure where the past few years have gone to!
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood We make this simple salad that is SO delicious and summery. It's arugula, prosciutto, feta, watermelon and a balsamic dressing (I use Stonewall Kitchen's Fig Balsamic). So fresh and light.
@MelissaM090 I meant to make your potato salad recipe this weekend and just ran out of time. It's on my list of things to make!
@leekat14 - GET OUT! This is terrible!!! Yeah I do not see how that is legal at all. If you do not mind me asking, what field of work are you in? I would be pissed!!! I surely hope they compensate in some way...
R/R/CS: Even though AF left 2-3 days ago, I'm still super crampy and feeling pretty blah. I was feeling a little down about this month because expected O date is next weekend when we will be celebrating DS birthday and spending the night at my SIL for 2 nights. DH told me not to worry cuz we can take a drive somewhere. I've never been so excited about sex in a car! Also, I love that DH is willing to do whatever it takes.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood
@krys I'm so glad you asked this question. It would have been my question if I started the post because I'm getting tired of making and eating the same ol' stuff!
@MelissaM090 I also make a buffalo chicken dip and everyone loves it. It's pretty much my responsibility to bring it to any party we have.
My spaghetti is always a crowd pleaser. Nothing special, I guess people just like spaghetti. Also, I make chili in the crockpot. It's mixed beef and chorizo chili, so good and a little spicy.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowd pleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood: In my house the crowd pleaser is my spaghetti, I make a homemade meat sauce with onions, peppers, portobella mushrooms, garlic, and cabernet sauvignon. My DH and munchkins love it.

WAYDTGKU: charting, temping, opks
R/R/CS: DH is still sick which means more broken sleep for me. Doc says he has strep. Not that I doubt her or anything, I'm just thinking either he caught a mild strain of it, or strep looks totally different in adults than kids. He's talking just fine, doesn't have a fever...just a gnarly cough. So he started sleeping on the couch, came to the bed a few hours later, coughed until I woke up, then snored, so he went back to the couch after a while. He doesn't cough or snore on the couch - I guess because he's laying down kind of elevated? Ah well. I hope he gets better soon - he's not a fun person to be around miserable.
In other news, my sunburn is healing nicely - my legs are in good shape, but my chest is still kind of tender. Gonna try to wear a bra today and workout.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved?
There are two that are in our rotation pretty regularly - we make these at least once a month.
WAYDTGKU: day 8/10 of Provera, Metformin, PNV, sex, temping, MORE....coming soon!
R/R/CS: I feel SOOO bloated! I hope this means that my period will come quickly after finishing the provera! I already warned my manager that I will probably have to take a day off next week for the doctor but I'm not sure which day yet. He won't be at work anyway so he definitely doesn't care haha
GTKY: Buffalo chicken dip. My husband and his teammates will eat that until they're sick haha. It's 16 oz of cream cheese, 1 cup ranch, 3/4 cup Frank's buffalo sauce (beat all those together), add 3 finely chopped chicken breasts and 1/2 cup shedder cheddar cheese. Spread in glass pie dish. Bake covered for 10 mins. Spread 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar on top. Bake open for 10 mins. ENJOY!
@Krys Glad you are feeling better about the trip, and finishing it up with a positive attitude! I know that you were really not looking forward to it, so not only is it great you changed your attitude, but also that it's almost over!!
@MelissaM090 I'm so sorry for CD 1. I'm sure I've asked you this at one point in time, but are you now moving onto IUI? Or there's something with Canada and trying for 'x' amount of times before moving onto that??
@leekat14 I'm sorry work is a drag! But yay for a follicle and extremely good news to hear your endo is laying low!
@GrabberBlue2010 Your gif game is strong my friend lol. I enjoy seeing them!! DH's make the worst patients! Hope he gets better soon without a trip to the ER.
@KirstinH88 HIO in a car LOL. Reminds me of my younger days!! LOL. Have fun!! Don't bump your head too much lol.
@hezzer78 GL with the bra today! Hope it fits without pain!
@PepperAT Ugh, so sorry to see you over here. I think a period present is in order!
Cycle/Month: 9/6
CD: 12
WAYDTGKU: PNV, Vit D, HIO, Letrozole 7.5mg, Trigger, IUI
R/R/CS: DH and I will HIO one more time tonight before IUI on Thursday. If trigger is on Wednesday, I'll likely O sometime between Thursday and Friday. So if I'm calculating correctly, if I O on Thursday our timing will be -4, -2, IUI on O, and then +1 if I can convince DH Friday. If I O on Friday our timing will be -5, -3, IUI on -1 and O if I can convince DH Friday. Overall I'm pleased with that! I think the most important days (in my head anyway) to get in are -2 and -1.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowd pleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood This is a great question because I'm always looking for new recipes! I cook 5 out of 7 days a week, so it can be a real struggle sometimes! I think our go to dinner, that is always enjoyable to us, is Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches. We could easily eat them once a week. I kind of just made the recipe up because I didn't like the crock pot versions I found. I take two chicken breast and fillet them. Bake them until done. While they cook I put Frank's Red, 1.5 tbls of butter, and garlic/onion powder in a sauce pot and let it come to a boil. I cook 4 strips of bacon while the chicken is cooking. Then when everything is done, I throw the chicken in the sauce and let it sit for a while. Then I put a piece of provolone on top the chicken and broil it until the cheese has melted. On a sturdy bun I slather blue cheese dressing on either side then top while the chicken. After sprinkling some blue cheese crumbles on top of the chicken, I layer on the bacon and then put the other piece of bun on. It is healthy in no respect lol, but it's delicious and it's something DH and I can always agree on!
R/R/CS: Another high temp but not as high as yesterday's. I'm gonna hang out here today, just to be sure
So I reallyyyy wanted to have a full complete chart this month, but we are going out of town this weekend and 1. Are driving through the night Thursday and 2. Will be sleeping in a tent until Monday.... I don't even feel like it would be worth it to try to temp boooooo. I've decided I'm not bringing any pregnancy tests with me this weekend though!! And I will NOT buy any while I'm out of town! I won't! Do you believe me? Lol
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood
I know not everybody likes sweet potato casserole, but I make a mean one at thanksgiving time! In the past year I have converted 3 people who said they did not like it, and that makes me proud
@mrsdaddario Nobody has said anything about IUI, I'm just thinking ahead. It seems to work for a lot of people and Im curious as to how people and their doctors arrive at that prognosis and treatment. Where I stand now is that I'm having the HSG because I've had 3 unsuccessful medicated cycles, and DH's SA was clear.
IF the HSG is clear (I'm worried that it won't be but that's a whole other thing) and I have 3 more unsuccessful cycles (6 total) then I'll get sent to a fertility specialist. Then I guess the IUI conversation would come up if it was necessary. So I'm still a ways away from that and hoping of course it doesn't come to that. The nearest clinic is an hour away.
Me: 32 DH: 33 Married: October 2015 TTC #1: October 2015 EDD #1: June/July 2017
@MelissaM090 I see. Well I'm sure the HSG will be clear!! I've got my FX so hard for you! I know it's not for a bit, so try not to stress too much about it. (Yeah right mrsdaddario). With PCOS, (I think you're anovulatory as well) and all of our other tests being normal our only problem is lack of ovulation on our own. So the RE said it made sense for us to move straight to IUI. I was curious about that because I figured the Letrozole would "solve" the problem of anovulation, and if DH's sperm was okay, shouldn't it be fast enough to get to the unblocked tubes in time? But the RE knows more than I do lol. When he suggested go straight to IUI I didn't want to waste any time. 6 TI cycles does seems like a lot before being able to move on. However I know Letrozole doesn't have the "shelf life" that Clomid does. Our Re told us that if Let + IUI was going to work, it would work in the first 3-4 cycles, then after that the chances of it working dramatically dropped off. So I think on one hand it's good your doing the TI, because you're doing all you can first before moving on!
@Schumerator - Yay for camping!!! That would be so much fun!!! Yeah I am guessing temping would be out fo sho. As for the not bringing/buying HPT while you are gone...
@mrsdaddario - Thanks! When I first got on here and couldnt figure out how to post them, someone told me that once I got the hang of it, I wouldn't be able to stop.... I think that is quite accurate. I sometimes wake up thinking about how I feel and what gifs would I be able to find to match it.. LOL.
R/R/CS: Temps back down after being a drunk idiot on Sunday. Still no on the OPK. Going to test later today. How perfect would it be to get the today?? Also, I really need it to happen because I am about to lose my shit with this cycle. They just seem to keep getting longer and longer.

R/R/CS: It's been over two years since I've used OPKs so I'm second guessing myself on the most effective ways to use them. What time of day is best? Previously I did FMU but I've read that afternoon and evening is good also. Also, are cups best for testing or can I go straight for the stick?
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved?
@GrabberBlue2010 hahaha thanks for the encouragement! Love that gif! Ugh your stupid temps! Why couldn't they just keep rising?! Do you observe CM at all? Just curious, as that might help you a bit more on your chart. What is your usual O range, if you know it? @Saralee797 thank you thank you @Krys Fingers crossed that O holds off for you until you get home! And good for you for trying to have a positive outlook on your situation, it's not easy to do all the time, but it does make it less miserable! Also that recipe for the Asian chicken looks ahhhmazing! I need to try that! @MelissaM090 I'm so sorry to see you back here Also I creeped on that potato recipe! I don't even like potatoes and that looked freakin delicious! I think I'm going to make it for my lake trip this weekend @momtoleo Happy anniversary!! And that salad sounds delish! @KirstinH88 Good old fashioned car sex lol! Good for you guys! @PepperAT ugh nooooo I'm so sorry... big hugs to you today. @Luckywon21 NO! I hate all these CD 1's! I'm so sorry @hezzer78 ahh I feel bad, I've been the one coughing all night this past week, luckily he's a deep sleeper. Also those stuffed sweet potatoes - mmmm! @mokay19 hoping AF comes for you soon, and for a good doctor's appointment to follow! Also I make buffalo dip in the crock pot almost every time we have friends over, never fails to be a hit! @mrsdaddario ahh so exciting your IUI is this week! All the fingers and toes and eyes crossed for you!
R/R/CS: Well today is an interesting day I got a call from one of my cousins asking me for about $500 and I told her no just flat out no. So then she calls my mother and grandmother to "tell" on me saying I'm not being a supportive family member. So after listening to my grandmother (who honestly wasn't taking her side, just informing me as to what she said) I was like I'm a grown woman with a family, last time I checked she was grown too so why is it on me to support her. So now she has turned half of my family against me saying that I am a horrible family member, not supportive, and all these other horrible things. Mind you i don't even have $500 for myself let alone to give it to someone else.
But as I digress things are going pretty well with timing, OPKs, and I started temping last weekend. So i can tell I am getting close to O day, so DH and I are doing all we can while of course keeping it fun.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowd pleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood For my house it has to be my brown sugar bourbon rubbed slow cooker pulled pork. I combine brown sugar and whole lot more spice and rub the pork shoulder down in it and then in a zip loc bag pour about half a cup of bourbon (brand doesn't matter) and let the pork marinate over night. Then first thing the next morning I put it in the slow cooker and let it cook on low for 8 hours. When it's done it's SOOOOOOO tender and yummy!

If my temps are all wonky because I don't sleep for three hours at one time like EVER, I need to not be so trusting of FF...right? I'm basically waiting for AF so I can start my last round of Clomid...y'all, if I have ever needed some CSing before, it's now. I would so appreciate anyone's feedback!
@belocin I read that the best way to use OPK's is that if you're going to do once a day, then around 2:00pm is best. Twice a day - 12:00pm and 8:00pm is best. It's been working for me. I don't know how your bladder is but if I don't drink a lot I can usually hold my SMU until after lunch (1:00-1:30) which is close enough.
@mrsdaddario I don't have PCOS to the best of my knowledge (can it be diagnosed with ultrasounds alone?) but on the ONE cycle my doctor decided to monitor my ovulation, I didn't. I went on letrozole immediately and it worked. I don't know if that was a one-off cycle but I'm not willing to try a cycle without the letrozole so I'll stay on it as long as it takes. My doctor does the follicle scans on CD10 and then a progesterone blood test on CD21. So we know it works. This is going to be your second IUI cycle right?

WAYDTGKU: Temping, CM, Sex, Losing Weight, Green Tea, Vitex
R/R/CS: This might get long. Sorry. I tried to talk to my mom about having trouble TTC yesterday. She has known since the beginning we were TTC mainly because she guessed and I didn't feel like lying about it. She has said the whole time she didn't think I should be temping. So yesterday, after I've taken the courage to tell her all the things and explain the cycle in detail (she was kinda clueless, actually), she says: "Well, I know you are worried about it but it seems like you guys are trying to force it on some sort of time schedule. I really still believe if you could just relax it would happen naturally." I was uncharacteristically calm when she said it and said that if there was something wrong I could relax for 4 years and nothing would happen and eventually you have to admit that. My dad was listening on speaker phone and agreed, so that made me feel a little better, but I still can't believe she said it.
On the other side of the coin, I had a really open conversation with DH last night about options and concerns and he shared that he thinks that the problem might be on his side because he has a family history of male infertility. I had no idea. He'd never mentioned it because he thought I knew because one of his uncle's adopted because they couldn't have kids and his grandparents apparently had trouble having kids as well but I had never really connected those dots. I was glad he shared it with me but I wish he would have shared it 6 months ago too. So yesterday was a really emotional day for me and now I'm feeling drained.

@Krys I hope O holds off for you until you get home from your trip! And way to go being positive about this trip- I think I would have a really hard time doing that! @MelissaM090 I'm sorry you're here for another cycle, but glad at least AF showed up earlier for you to help your timing for FW! @leekat14 That work schedule sounds atrocious and exhausting and awful! Your corn salsa, however, sounds delightful! Also, I think I've heard to stop RRL tea at O, but don't quote me on it. Sorry for the anovulatory cycle, @Grabberblue2010 - hope either you just have a late O or AF gets her act together soon! Happy Anniversary @momtoleo! Mine was yesterday, so I know what you mean about weekday celebrations. @KirstinH88 - Car sex! That's awesome- my DH would never go for that! So sorry for CD1, @PepperAT. Your Stitch gif is adorable though. Welcome @Luckywon21! @hezzer78 I hope your DH feels better soon! @mrsdaddario that timing looks great either way! FX so hard for you for this cycle! Also, that chicken sandwich sounds great and is making me hungry. There seems to be a buffalo chicken theme to everyone's best recipes today! Happy anniversary @saralee797! Does freezing the chia seeds change the texture at all? I've tried the chia puddings and putting it in smoothies, but I just can't choke it down because of the texture. @belocin I think the packaging on the OPKs tells you which urine to use, but I always use FMU and they seem to work well for me. But I also have like a 2 day surge, so I don't have any trouble catching it. There are definitely people here who have a really short surge and need to test a few times a day just so they don't miss it. I think that part of it is pretty specific to what your body does. If you have Wondos, you definitely need the cup because they're just little strips, but I had no problem just going straight for the stick with the Clearblue sticks.

WAYDTGKU: I realize I always half-ass this question, so I'm going to answer it for reals this time. BBT, OPK, PNV, CM, CP, HIO as much as possible, Green Tea, and Preseed.
R/R/CS: My dog was sick several times during the night, so I'm running on like 3 hours of sleep and a few sporadic naps. There is very little chance I'm going to do anything productive today.
Buuuuut, I'm totally psyched that it looks like O is on her way! I usually don't O until CD25-28 so I am so happy right now. I didn't bother temping this morning because I was awake most of the night, but OPKs are getting darker and CM is showing promise. I'm just ridiculously happy and praying it isn't a fake out surge! R/R/CS: I'm over an hour late for work this morning. Long story short - my sister's car broke down on her way out of town so we traded, I took hers in to get fixed, they called me and said it was fixed, I took it home and it wasn't fixed so I took it back in this morning and had to fight with them for 45 minutes to get them to look at it. As it turns out, I'm pretty good at this seeing as it's getting fixed (for free) and I'm driving a fancy rental car. Hell hath no fury like a woman who someone is attempting to mess with.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? #pinallthefood I've been all about the tortilla pizzas as of late. Just like a regular pizza, but made on a tortilla. Yummy.
@MelissaM090 So if your ovaries definitely showed poly cystic with ultrasound only, then likely you'd be diagnosed. But also, it's possible not to have cystic ovaries and still have PCOS. I think there needs to be 2/3 of the criteria met for them to properly diagnose it. My OB diagnosed me before they even gave me an ultrasound because of my mild hirsutism and also my super long/lack of cycles. Also because I'm chubby (my words not hers LOL. Hers were "overweight"). It's possible you have a very mild form of PCOS. It's also possible you don't, and you just have anovulatory cycles. But I hear you. I will not try again without Letrozole to aid me! And yup, second IUI! Sorry I'm asking you so many questions! I just find it interesting!
WAYDTGKU: started temping again today after botching it last cycle. Otherwise, continuing PNVs and checking CM, and sex when we feel like it. Which won't be this week because DH has a Virus of Death currently.
R/R/CS: Hoping that once my period ends we can have sex at least twice a week until I confirm O. We plan to move into "actual trying mode" in September probably, and making the leap directly from "once or twice a week" directly to "every other day" would be difficult. So if we can do like 2-3 times a week until then, that would help smooth the transition. We did EOD when TTC#1 and by the time I got pregnant we were both like THANK GOD I AM SO OVER HAVING SEX THIS OFTEN. Ha. My cycles are long and I didn't ovulate until CD31 that month. It was MADNESS.
GTKY: What's a recipe that's a crowdpleaser at your house, or what's a new one that you've tried recently and loved? Haha. I work full time and have a one year old at home, recipes are not a thing right now. I make decent pasta in the crock pot. I actually make really good chicken noodle soup from scratch in the winter. And I'm good with desserts. But right now I will just make whatever is fast and easy. I don't even think I remember how to actually cook.
@Schumerator - I honestly feel you can do it. In all seriousness. I mean you'll be camping. You'll already be peeing on all the things to begin with (assuming it is camping without plumbing) so a couple days without a pee stick is a-okay. LOL. I have been trying to observe my CM. I started checking around CD 14, as on average (LOL) I O around CD 17-22. I had a lot of watery, with small patches of EW. That lasted about 8 days. Then it was creamy - but extremely wet creamy - new for me, for about 3 days. Then back to watery. The past 3 days it has been kind of dry and sticky, and now the watery is picking up again. After 3 different bouts of solid smileys on OPK's... I am not going there again. Maybe. Even putting in all that info, it still will not give me CH.
@jnalexander2 - Get ready cause I am coming to your house for dinner. I am now super hungry and all I want is everything you just said. ETA - that food has me all distracted and I forgot to say what I wanted to say. That is pretty crappy of your family member. She totally needs to get a grip on life. It is not YOUR fault she did not have the money. @Marley629 - Same here. Terrible cook. I just learned how to boil eggs. 347 dozens of eggs later.... and enough tears to boil them in... @ahrains - Almost cycle buddies! Sorry for the wacky temps. But holy smokes batman what in the Hades is going on with your chart! I am not expert at all, but those CH's are questionable for sure. I am so sorry your going through this!
@mrsdaddario No no it's fine. The doctor doesn't seem concerned about PCOS for me but I know it crossed his mind. I asked about he ultrasound because that's the only test I've had and there wasn't anything concerning to him. The reason I started seeing him in the first place was because I was having extreme rectal pain along with my periods since coming off the pill. I was worried it was endometriosis but there doesn't seem to be any evidence of that either. But the pain (coincidentally?) has subsided since seeing him. The thing that worked out in my favour was that he's a great advocate for people to get pregnant and started monitoring my ovulation even though we'd only been trying for 4 months at that point. And I'm so grateful he did because that cycle was anovulatory.

@GrabberBlue2010 Thanks so much for CSing for me! I'm a newbie to the whole temping thing and it has looked bizarro to me since the first week but I second-guess myself constantly. My CD21 blood work showed very little, if any progesterone so I thought "Well, I *could* have O'd late..." but I think I need to trust the blood work since I sleep so erratically.

@MelissaM090 and @mrsdaddario I haven't read the whole convo from this but I wanted to jump in and say that I was diagnosed in high school with PCOS after an ultrasound, bloodwork, and not having a normal cycle. After 7ish years on birth control and then coming off, I notice that I have mild acne and veryyyyy mild hirsutism (basically just I noticed more hair when I came off my BCP), I still have high levels of androgens in my blood and the ultrasound shows "signs on PCOS" but I have no weight gain or trouble regulating my weight.... Basically, the RE told me that I have indications of PCOS and the symptoms could just be suppressed/more mild while I'm at a normal BMI but if I gained weight, he said it could change that. However, the main symptom that I care about is present aka I'm not ovulating haha. Overall! PCOS is confusing and almost seems to be used as a blanket diagnosis and it actually affects different people very differently depending on the severity and which symptoms that you show. EDITED: there is a difference btwn Effects and Affects
@MandyBeeSLP - So sorry the convo with your mom went the way it did. We always hope they will get it and not say stuff like that to make us feel worse. I am glad your dad was on your side though. Doesn't make the sting hurt any less. Are you going to try and get SA done on DH soon now? Or are you still going to have to wait until you hit the 1 year mark?? **HUGS** @Dilynne - Tortilla pizza??

So smart!

ENJOY!
@MelissaM090 I'm so sorry for CD 1. I'm sure I've asked you this at one point in time, but are you now moving onto IUI? Or there's something with Canada and trying for 'x' amount of times before moving onto that??

#pinallthefood
This is a great question because I'm always looking for new recipes!

For my house it has to be my brown sugar bourbon rubbed slow cooker pulled pork.

@Schumerator Do it! You won't regret it.

R/R/CS: This might get long. Sorry.
I tried to talk to my mom about having trouble TTC yesterday. She has known since the beginning we were TTC mainly because she guessed and I didn't feel like lying about it. She has said the whole time she didn't think I should be temping. So yesterday, after I've taken the courage to tell her all the things and explain the cycle in detail (she was kinda clueless, actually), she says: "Well, I know you are worried about it but it seems like you guys are trying to force it on some sort of time schedule. I really still believe if you could just relax it would happen naturally."

This Jalapeno Corn dip is wonderful! I've made it 4 or 5 times to take to different things and it is usually well received, unless people don't like spicy stuff. It's really very mild but some people won't eat anything with peppers.
Edited to remove Jalapeno Corn dip pic because it was ginormous.

Now just need to stay awake for some sexy time later on!

Buffalo chicken quinoa! Feels like it's bad for you because it's delicious, but I fill it with additional shredded veggies and it's just so good! I also add way more hot sauce and bleu cheese crumbles. Yum!

Yummy.

Overall! PCOS is confusing and almost seems to be used as a blanket diagnosis and it actually affects different people very differently depending on the severity and which symptoms that you show.
EDITED: there is a difference btwn Effects and Affects
