@bnsmith85 I thought of the song too! I love that song. @JaJuanY Addie is super cute too though! My coworker's daughter is Adrianna. I always thought it was gorgeous, but it's a mouthful to me and they don't call her by any nicknames. That's a tough choice.
It is a bit of a mouthful, but we have a one syllable last name so it flows okay. I like the name Addie, but neither of us are as crazy about Addison or Adeline, so I thought Adrianna was a good compromise. Laila always makes me think of the song by Eric Clapton as well, but it is also a character from one of my favorite books, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.
Peter after Peter Pan (because who wants their little boy to grow up ever?) And Emmett after Emmett Otter, our favorite Christmas movie. Cheesy saying it out loud...
Daisy literally came out of nowhere... I honestly think DH suggested it as a joke but once he said it that was her name. And Bowie after David Bowie... Hubs loved that man.

This definitely wins the most interesting story award! And I do like the names
Marie because it's a middle name that runs in the family and Vera was a random suggestion I made that slowly crept to number 1. We had a hard time naming our DS so we started talking names when we started talking about TTC and I decided to scrap the girls choice from last time, so V has been named since about week 13.
@LGW2015 and @mrszoess we actually call DS Z (started with shortening it in texts and online, then it stuck. No one really uses it outside of us) so calling her V just made sense. Plus Z and V sound cute together.
Bah! @mrszoess I went to give you a Love Tit on your "doorbell" post and accidentally hit, "report." I tried to undo it, so I really hope you're not reported! Let me know if something shows up and I can contact an admin or something.

@Rivas16 I love that name and love the meaning behind it! I really wanted Jaxon as a boy's name but my friend named her son Jack so now it's off the table. Not as nice of a meaning behind it if I had used it, but I love the name itself!
@mrszoess ... Haha, I did too there for a while. Glad to hear non of my misclicks reported anything lol
When I was pregnant with #1, we had the name Elizabeth Hazel set if it was a girl. Well #1 was a boy, so we named him Alexander "Xander" Spencer. That was our #1 boys name years before we were even married (we've been together since 2003, married since 2012). Now that this one is a girl, hubby wants to name her Elizabeth Hazel, but I am having the hardest time committing.
Elizabeth -- we both always loved the name. We like the nickname Ellie, but we also love Betty (we like oldie names). Our other fave girls name was Isabella. Hazel was H's grandma's name, and we just love this name. But even with all of this, I still waver.
I'm sure I'll figure it out soon enough.
Married to DH for 6 years (together for 16) DS born 12.13.14 DD born 10.15.16 BFP 1.24.18, MC 3.13.18 BFP 4.25.19, EDD 12.31.19
@nsquaredlife13 ... I really like both Elizabeth and Isabella! I have a close friend who's from Equador and her daughter's name is Isabella. Bella is the traditional nickname, I think, for that in the states but where she's from, it's Isa (said E-sa). I think either would be beautiful
@nsquaredlife13 I really love the nickname Ellie and the middle name Hazel, but I also love Isabella. I think that is just one of the most beautiful names. Isa is also a beautiful nickname. Ah so many beautiful choices for a girl!
I think we've finally settled, unless I change my mind again...on Hannah Kay. Kay is mine and my my mom's middle name and I can't seem to find anything I like that flows as well with Kay and also works with our last name.
Franklin is after my mother-in-law's father (my husband's grandfather) and Josiah is just a name I have loved for a long time. He was a good king of Israel. I also like the meaning of both names; Franklin means free man/landowner and Josiah means fire of the Lord.
Our newest Lil boy due October 17th will be named Brody Daniel. Our other son who will be a year old July 9th is named Bostin Gregory. I'll have Bostin and Brody my double trouble.
We originally picked Keegan Bryce, but have been getting a lot of negative feedback over Keegan, so he remains unnamed. DH and DS are pulling for John Ian (DH is Jonathan, DS is Nathan, so John would be the piece of DH's name that I didn't give to DS). I like Jack and Jameson (being unable to drink is pulling me toward the whiskey names). Who knows what I'll pick. Hopefully, once I meet him I can decide

Just as a heads up, Ian is the Scottish form of John, so if you went with that combo, his name would basically be John John.
Ours is back to UN named Green baby if it is a Girl we get some positive feedback from family members some negative almost evil remarks and comments. Ive been in tears a few times because of the comments.

Aw @Mintz1982 -stay strong! You liked Wynter for a girl, right? I think that's so pretty - and if you loved it, that's all that matters!! I imagine a strong and graceful woman when I think of Wynter... don't give up on it!
@LMNOBaby we are not telling people anymore if they ask were just saying we can't pick so we are just going to wait till he or she arrives it's easier then I get suggestions not opinions. We have 6 other kids between us and the Y thing is in 3 of the others names so I get people hate that but we are sticking to it.
Boy - Parker James I don't like nicknames and have already warned family not to call him PJ. They will be told plenty of times I'm sure lol
@MrsB627 - That was going to be our boy name if it were a boy! I've always loved the name Parker and James runs on both sides of our families. My husband was worried about the "PJ" thing too!
I downloaded the Babyname app and am going to make FI download it too so we don't have to discuss names we don't agree on, only names we do agree on. This is just for the MN, his first name is 100% for sure Johnny.
