@LauraPCOS I have been very consciously trying to avoid my small dog jumping on my belly but she still tries to....I mean why can't they choose legs or something?!

@TurtleMomma ... how are things going? Have you heard back on the testing?
TL;DR: We're waiting for a call back to set it up.
I spoke with the occupational therapist today and she submitted the paperwork last week so we're just waiting for a call back to schedule the test, but she'd double check that it was received. She said they'd be doing the STAT test, which is like a pre-screen where they decide whether or not to pursue formal autism testing. We're kind of in a time crunch because we want to get this done before he turns 3 in August because that's when the school district takes over (all our services thus far have been done through the local children's hospital and we LOVE them). In the meantime, we're getting his hearing checked to rule out other fun things. Thanks for asking!
Glad to hear things are moving along, sort of good luck with the hearing test and FX for speedy scheduling of the pre-scan!

And maybe it's just a cat thing but the attitude when you block them or push them off of you!! I'm waiting to find pee in my shoe!
@mrszoess my SO and I recently took a 3 day train trip (would've been the same as driving) out to CA when my grandma died. Being pregnant I did not enjoy it at all. We decided we're never taking a train again and will stick to flying. Also, when I did live in CA my sister and I made a trip to visit family in WY after she had her child and my piece of advice is , Keep that baby hydrated my sisters baby ended up getting sick and having explosive diarrhea all over the car and it made a very long stinky 2 day trip.

Oh no @Ashleymn what made the train ride not enjoyable? I ask because in August when I'm 31 weeks pregnant, I'm gonna be taking the train up to Santa Barbara with my girlfriends. Granted it's only a 6 hour train ride from here, but now I'm all nervous!
WTF traffic and Taco Bell! We get 45 minutes for lunch and it took me 30 minutes just to drive 2 miles, get food, and get back. Then I had to inhale my food which in turn made me have bubble gut. I'm super glad we have an employee only bathroom.
@annabenanna. Six hours is no problem for a train! I had to edit my post because I left out the part that it was a 3 DAY train ride and that's what made it unenjoyable. We decided on train because our trip was last minute due to circumstances but we took a plane home. It was very uncomfortable to sleep in and morning sickness in a moving train (or train toilets for that matter) are not exactly ideal. my only tip is if you plan on eating on your trip consider bringing your own food/drinks because train food can get expensive but for shorter trip train should be just fine. The viewing room is always fun and some offer bars (fun for your friends;)).

I feel like my WTF's this week also double as petty problem saturday... but WTF Air BnB. A Kitchenaid mixer (i can appreciate this), a record player, and an easel for painting, but no TV?!! I'm here all alone in what seems like kinda a sketchy neighborhood, in a big quiet loft. Just me and my thoughts. Thank goodness I have internet, pandora and netflix on my computer lol
Wtf was up with all the weirdo clients at the salon today? My first lady kept grabbing my light to move it so I finally had to turn it off cause she was blinding me. Then she asked how I can do a manicure in such a dark salon. Uh, I don't. Usually I turn my lamp on so I can see your damn hands! My second lady kept falling asleep while I was trying to polish her. My third was part of a bridal party and was more interested in chatting with the bride than keeping her hands still or even in my hands so I could work. And my fourth kept freaking out that I wasn't going to massage her... which is the last thing you do before polish. I was so anxious to leave, I forgot half my personal belongings at work and refused to go back for them.
@kathleenkat Sorry, I had to. I'm very WTF about how our congressmen can be paid 6 figures to keep blocking gun control legislation.
Edit: Gonna get flamed.
I'm not sure wtf they are even paid to do. If i could get paid to sit around and do nothing, 6 figures nonetheless, sign me up. These people are legitimately getting paid to sit on the floor. The longer I live, the greater my wtf gets with them. Then they all got 2 weeks of paid vacation ("shutdown") one year for simply disagreeing with each other. Let's replace them all with cats, they are professional sit-on-the-floor-ers.
@kathleenkat I agree that they're generally useless. However, do you know why they've staged a sit in? With the exception of the recent filibuster, this is the first time they've actually done something and taken action on behalf of the people they represent. If it gets common sense gun laws passed, they can sit there all damn day as far as I'm concerned.

Of course I know why they're sitting in. I just think it's ridiculous. I was equally baffled by the behavior during the 2008 sit in.
@kathleenkat I would love to get paid 6 figures to just disagree with people without putting actual brain power into it. Easiest job ever. Maybe not the most moral...
They are generally useless, and they should be replaced with people that actually DO something and work together. However, I'm with @MRSCORKER in that I'm happy they're at least doing SOMETHING to try and get common sense gun laws passed.
I haven't been on here in a couple of days because my shitty phone decide to commit technology suicide and started deleting all of my photos and contacts then died. I lost 3 months worth of my daughter's pics and I cried. Like, sobbed. I have a new phone now.

They should be replaced with Independents. Most of them disagree based on principle, that's partisan politics for ya.

The two party system is counterproductive for sure! It's like "oh, you're a Dem/Rep? Nevermind, I don't agree with you anymore!"

I'd love for it to return to a time when, though people disagreed with each other, they were still willing to cross the aisle and attempt to reach compromise.
I don't think replacing them all with people who agree politically is the best solution to the problem. In an ideal world, they'd learn to suck it up and work together instead of digging in their heels over every little thing.
If I can talk to my more conservative friends AND my more liberal friends and reach a point of compromise and understanding, then these people can too.
We had a discussion about the 2-party system the other night. It's so dysfunctional and nobody is "allowed" to think outside the box because it might compromise their Dem/Rep side.

That is why this election is so fascinating (re: popcorn worthy) to me. The success of outliers such as Trump and Sanders is unprecedented. Obviously, the current system is shit, and voters are starting to notice. Maybe our kids will live in a better political climate.

That's why independents would be best. They aren't aligned with any partisan agenda, and each bring their own unique views and experiences that aren't impacted by said agendas. Of course, the Democrats have an agenda to take over congress, because "Republicans are doing nothing," while at the same time the Republicans are doing the same thing on the other side of the fence. It's just a blame game, both sides are narrow minded due to their partisan obligations.
