I still mostly only feel flutters and when she flips. I'm 23 weeks today. Last night lying in bed, I really think I felt a foot or a hand a couple of inches above my belly button.
I just got back from my follow up ultrasound. The anatomy scan a few weeks ago got clear measurements and views of everything vital but the heart. They could see the heart and all chambers, but couldn't get all the things they needed. I drank an OJ on the way to the appointment this morning and my mom went and the baby was balled up sleeping. The tech kept prodding her, having me move, gave me more juice, nothing. We got a bit of a hand wave while she readjusted but nothing else. She was sleeping during our last scan too. She's measuring perfectly on time. 1.5lbs, 50th percentile. I can't help but feel nervous that something's wrong even though the tech and the doctor said it's perfectly normal. We're going to the specialist for another ultrasound only because they have super high tech machines so they'll be able to get the measurements even if baby refuses to move. Does anyone else have sleepy little ones? Would you be nervous/anxious? I should mention I've been crazy about something going wrong since before we got pregnant, so I'm not a logical person.
I wouldn't worry about this at all. Our LO was sleeping during the first anatomy scan, and did not want to be bothered. Whenever the tech would try to get him to move, he would move away from her, and go right back to sleep. He was facing my back the entire time. He refused to even give a profile shot, let alone a face shot. If anything, you just get to see your LO more often now!!!
Also, a lot of us on this BMB had to get repeat scans since our babies weren't in the proper positions. It sounds like it's pretty common.
@MorganL925 I have to go for a repeat scan this weekend too. I'm also nervous about it, but it's reassuring to know that it happens to a lot of us and it usually turns out fine!
Random symptom - when I sneeze, it REALLY hurts in my lower abdomen. Like it feels like the muscles there are threatening to detach if I sneeze too hard again.
@scostel2.... mine were like that for a few weeks recently. I assume RLP. But knowing you have a sneeze coming is all of a sudden terrifying lol... not a fun feeling.
@scostel2 This was me for all of first trimester. I find holding my stomach at the bottom helps and try to be either lying flat for the sneeze or sitting or standing straight. Any twist makes it hurt worse. I am pretty positive it's due to RLP.

@scostel2 my dr recommended tucking your pelvis in when you're standing up from sitting, I would imagine it would help during a sneeze too potentially. The theory is that RLP is from the weight of the uterus pulling on the round ligaments, so if you tuck your pelvis in prior to the strain, it helps brace and support your uterus and therefore won't pull on the muscles as much.
I. feel. so. big. HUGE. I can't remember feeling like this (this early) first time around. My skinny (maternity) jeans are already getting too tight in my thighs. And, I'm waddling. Only 22 weeks over here, so this doesn't bode well for the next 3 months...
Thanks, y'all. I know if the doctor isn't concerned, I shouldn't be either. @emmaaa - that makes me feel better. She was swimming like a fish at our 12 week NT scan, but the 20w anatomy scan + today she was sleeping both times. We saw the heart beating - which was the only way we knew she was alive. It made me nervous, especially since I don't feel a whole lot of movement yet.

Something I didn't consider before- booths at restaurant are getting increasingly more difficult. Not only fitting between the bench and table, but also sliding in and out.
@MorganL925 At my first AS, my little guy was on his back so they couldn't measure his spine. They had me roll over, try different things, lay on my stomach, talk to him, everything and he was just not having it. Because they noticed I only have 2 vessels in my umbilical cord instead of 3, I had to go do a special fetal heart ultrasound (sounds similar to the one you're having), just to make sure everything is okay because their machines are calibrated to be more sensitive to that organ. When I got there he was all balled up in an awkward position pressed right up against my side. Even the tech commented on how he was in a weird position, but they were able to see the heart no problem (and I didn't need to try to get him to move). But yea these LOs are definitely stubborn in their own way!!
@ashleyp625 Holy Cracker I know right!! Hubby and I eat out a lot (yea that's going to have to change after next week when I go on reduced income), but hubby keeps picking booths, which is okay if the table isn't bolted down. I'm getting to the point of telling him to pick a table that at least has a chair to it, and then he takes the chair -.- so I sit beside him and he's all "Why aren't you sitting across from me??" and I'm "Cause I don't fit asshole!" then he's all OHH! Right, yea okay, and moves. -.-
I think baby has the hiccups and I feel like I can feel them in my vag and butt hole. It's seriously the strangest sensation, and one I have never had in three pregnancies!

@Schell2013 After all the frustration I've felt towards certain trolls on this board lately, I busted out laughing at this! Lol. I'm not looking forward to hiccups, the baby squirming around is bizarre enough.
Decided to drink a NA mimosa (or as I call it, a famosa). It was a HORRIBLE decision. I've taken all the Zantac I'm allowed to take and just got desperate enough to text my neighbor/friend at 11pm to see if she has any milk to help. FX that she's still awake and didn't just fall asleep with all the lights in the house on.
@Ashleymn and @krzyriver I'm glad it made you guys chuckle! When it was happening I though someone on TB would think it was equally off. It's the strangest thing ever! I have no idea how it's such a sensation. It lasted for almost 10 minutes too!

I really do not like the cervix punch/kick combo. I think that's my least favorite.
Baby is sitting kind of up high, and making it rather difficult to breathe lately.
Also, today was the first day (at 26 weeks) that I found myself sitting down to put on shoes and socks. So it begins. I think my most exciting revelation after having DS was that I could bend over to put on shoes again.

Also, dude was going wild this morning when I woke up. I was laying on my back in bed, looked down and my belly was jerking back and forth like a Jello mold, then I saw what I am certain was a foot or elbow rolling across my stomach just above my belly button.
@LGW2015 My LO always stayed balled up on my left side when I was pregnant with him. After he was born, he stayed curled up with his little legs crossed and his butt poked out while sleeping just like he did in my belly for 2 months. So, it was uncomfortable carrying him inside me in that position, but it was pretty adorable once he was out!
@LGW2015 what's even more adorable is when I would pick him up to hold him, even when he was laying against my chest that booty stayed poked out until he would finally uncross those little legs ♡ Nothing, I mean NOTHING is cuter than wittle baby booty, so naturally I had to pat it. I was a little sad when he finally outgrew his utero position, not gonna lie.
Possible tmi-- So my SO and I were feeling frisky this morning and had sexy time shortly after I noticed light pink spotting of course first thing I do is freak out and start irrationally crying. After a call, my dr told me this is normal unless I am cramping down below or it begins to get heavy but it most likely caused by the increase of blood to the vessels down there. So, that made me feel much better but I think it's safe to say SO and I are both terrified of sexy time now lol. Has anyone else experienced this?

This happened to me around 7 weeks but hasn't happened since. My doc told me the same thing. I would freak out too but try to relax and monitor it. Hang in there!

Hmm let's see...23 weeks pregnant today. Baby kicking a lot, but when the father wants to feel the kicks, he gets shy. Weird craving for strawberries and egg and cheese on a roll sandwiches for breakfast(i actually look forward to breakfast before going to bed the night before! Definitely getting harder to catch my breath and get comfortable sleeping in any position. Hips killing me, especially when I stand up from sitting position. Baby kicks a lot when I eat cheese or mangos, oddly. Hands swell up when I sleep, and random joins crackle and pop when I walk. I am a reasonably physically fit 30 year old, and this last part is kind of distressing. Not to mention a complete lack of control over how upset I get over anyting at all, like anything lol!
This child keeps balling up in my right side. Could you spread out a little, dude? So uncomfortable.
I have a photo of my belly at nearly full term with DS and he is ALL on the right side, almost comically so. I have a feeling already that this one will follow suit
Also, dude was going wild this morning when I woke up. I was laying on my back in bed, looked down and my belly was jerking back and forth like a Jello mold, then I saw what I am certain was a foot or elbow rolling across my stomach just above my belly button.
You know what you just reminded me of? I was watching a program once "Didn't Even Know I Was Pregnant" and it was a young girl (16-17), irregular periods so didn't think anything of it and was laying in her bed one day when she saw this thing (probably a fist) go across her stomach. She freaked out thinking she had an alien in her, but I think she ended up telling someone, and that's how she found out she was almost 9 months pregnant.
After my shower this morning my face was so dry and flaky it looked like I had greyscale. I actually put my belly butter on it because it's so much richer than my usual face cream. (Not too long ago my skin was so oily I wasn't even using moisturizer, just aloe vera gel.)
Heartburn remedies DH found through a Google search when meds hadn't helped me at all...For those having worsening issues too -milk -tbsp of honey followed by warm milk -yogurt (I ate half a giant tub of this the other night and it worked wonders) -chewing gum (makes you create saliva which neutralizes the acid)
I'm starting to think this heartburn will kill me.... I havent been able to find anything here to take so I might have to give some of your suggestions a try @bnsmith85
@bnsmith85 I have a hiatal hernia so I constantly have heartburn like crazy and now it's 10x worse begin pregnant. I used to be able to take Dexalant. Which is class B and safe to take while pregnant and works like a champ. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover it anymore but maybe yours will. It's pricey even on insurance. BUT totally worth it. Luckily my sister-in-law works for my dr and snags me samples, but Zantac doesn't even touch my heartburn so I know your pain. I almost caved and paid the $150 for a month prescription because I can't take the pain anymore.
I also read that apple cider vinegar helps as well. I'm about to try it, they say take a shot a day. Hope you can find some relief.

SO somehow while putting lotion on my face last night, I must have applied a little too much pressure and pinched a nerve in my neck. Like really? Putting lotion on my face??? I'm in immense pain, can't turn my head right and the pain shoots down my right arm and my fingers are numb. Only my luck I swear. So now I'll be calling to get a prenatal massage to ease the pain and I've been going back and forth ice and heat. Not easy to do when I have to sit at a desk for 8 hrs a day for work. 3 pm can't come fast enough to go home.

Hello BRAXTON Hicks this baby just won't give me a break goes from heartburn to hip pain now Braxton hicks. Then it goes into kung foo mode the second the BH stops and kicks me till I feel like I'm bruised. I just keep repeating to myself 16 weeks it's only 16 more weeks.
Question: Can someone please describe what a Braxton Hicks contraction feels like? I'm not sure if I'm experiencing BH or RLP...describing the difference between the two would be a huge help!!

I haven't actually had BH that I know of but RLP is more of a sharp, stabbing pain tbat I feel to the left or right of my uterus when I sneeze or cough or stand up too fast.
