@cjt121413 - I don't see it as AWing at all, more as taking on a civic duty and I thank you for your dedicated D16 service.
Now to confess: I feel like a traitor saying this but I'm rereading the potter series for the first time in like 7 years and I'm realizing this time through that they really are written for kids... and there are all kinds of plot weaknesses... I'm still enjoying the heck out of them but it's definitely coming across as a children's series and not the alternate reality that I was meant to have. I suppose that means I'm growing up...
Working a 12 hour shift today. So thrilled about that, btw *sarcasm* I'll probably just hang out here or FB once I'm done prepping for my 3 day absence next week (still bitter about that...)

@slartybartfast that is BLASPHEMY!! How dare you suggest that my favorite children's books aren't the same for adults.
My FFFC I am hoping my friend from the nub theory and other thread scones back so I can point out just how selfish and lacking of support her history is.

I'm totally putting off my second semester blood panel because the biggest baby ever - really freaked out by needles. It's cool though, I'll do it tomorrow...
I seldom brush my hair. like maybe once a week. It's long so I use a ton of conditioner to detangle it but actual brushing? nope. most I do is run my fingers through it. but it totally doesn't stop me from yelling at DD for not brushing her hair. hers is a tangled mess. double standard or a mommy right?
We're under contract for a house and I have NO clue what I'm doing. I keep getting emails and phone calls about insurance, inspections, titles, deeds, warranties, and I'm just like uhh I'll get back to you then panic and wait for DH to get home and try to figure it out with me.
I refuse to share my EDD. I don't want people bugging me as it gets closer to time and we're having a scheduled C-section so baby will most likely be here before the due date. If anyone asks, I tell them after Thanksgiving but before Christmas. A lot of the time they laugh and say, "No, but really, what is it?" And I tell them baby will come when they feel like it. No shame in my game whatsoever.
@zubenescamali I don't even want to think about what my hair would be like if I didn't comb it everyday. It's fine but there's a lot of it and it becomes a disaster easily.
My confession - I have a flight tonight and I haven't packed yet. I leave my house at 6, and my husband is gonna be pissed if I'm not ready.
I don't need snapchats at 6am from friends showing me that they worked out already today. Good for you. I am all about people wanting to be healthy, but I really don't think a lot of people care.

I hate it when people wear makeup that is not the right shade for their skin tone. We are not in high school anymore. There is no reason why you should look like Casper or an Oompa Loompa; there are literally tons of places you can go to talk to a makeup consultant for free to find the right products for you--Ultra, Sephora, the mall, MAC...
If you can't figure it out, stop wearing makeup. Your orange skin is rubbing off on my couch, and I'm getting second-hand embarrassment.
I took my two toddlers grocery shopping with me today. Nomally they are really good but for some reason they were monsters today. (They wouldn't stop running off and begging for things and then when they got sick of that they started licking everything.)
I'm too tired to make them lunch so I just threw some lunchables and gummy bears on the coffee table so I could lay down while they eat. (Really they just scattered crumbs all over the carpet for the dog and then ate all the gummy bears.) Oh well.

I totally agree. Same goes for FB and Instagram, especially because it is usually a sales ploy for Beach Body.
My FFFC is that I hate couples that use Facebook (or any other social media) to communicate. Honestly, what is happening?!?! We all know you live together, just walk across the room and tell your husband you love him and appreciate him...stop posting it while he's sitting 5 feet away from you! What are they trying to prove? I sometimes wonder if they are even capable of expressing their feelings to one another in person without having an audience, what is this world coming to??

@dmontgo Yes!! Or, along somewhat the same lines... when you're orange in the middle of winter. I visited tanning beds for a LONG time (I haven't for years now) and look back at pics and never was that fake orange color, but I know a girl (who coincidentally is the same one I talked about it in my original FFFC post), who is orange ALL year round. Like seriously... it looks SO bad. We're in the upper Midwest. It looks odd in the winter, and it looks just as bad in the summer.
@Pgh_Kel I feel the same way. DH isn't on FB, and even when I dated guys who were... I never remember posting constantly on their wall. If I did, it was something funny, like a video or a picture.

I don't understand people's obsession on TB with snark. I see people from multiple BMB's complaining about how boring it is on here and how there's no snark and it's just too nice. Uhhhhh....you can't MAKE someone post something completely dumb, and trying to nitpick a post that's not stupid is just catty. Also, I'm not a fan of the super strict rules like we had on TTGP. I get that questions on there....and sometimes here....are hella redundant but towards the end, only being allowed to participate in specific threads for that specific day got kind of boring. @dmontgo my 2nd confession is that I used to be the people you're talking about!!! LMAO!!! It's wasn't totally my fault because I honestly had a hard time picking a color, and liquid foundation just stayed on top of my skin (plus I get dark very easy but am super white in the winter, so my skin changed tones sigificantly).
Funny story relating to rubbing off on couches, my wake up call was when DH and I bought a brand new white leather sofa, DH jockingly pushed me down on it and I feel on the couch face first...when I got up there's was a perfect print of my face on our couch. @juliehollz13 LOL! It's ok! I think we all at some point go through a terrible makeup phase. A long time ago in high school, I thought dark, dark blue eyeshadowwas the coolest thing. To make it worse, I blended dark green on the edges. I'm white as hell, so you can imagine how harsh it looked on my skin lol. This was high school, sophomore year.
So it was the first day of school, and I think I am looking sexy and slick. I see my long-time crush, and talk to him. I'm putting my best moves on him, and I thought it was going well. Near the end of the day, my best friend came up to me and was like, "I heard Matt talking about you--he asked who punched you in the face?"
Dead. After that, I decided to never wear that again and maybe read a book on color tones, haha. At least I grew out of it, right?
I wasn't feeling my salad at lunch so I put the dressing on hoping that would make me want to eat it. Now I'm just picking out dressing covered feta cheese. The salad is about 2 days past "fresh and crunchy" and limp spring mix /spinach is nasty.

I wore orange eye shadow once and nearly gave my grandma a heart attack! She took me to get a make-over at her favorite salon. This is why I don't wear make up now. Too much work. Besides, I happen to like my freckles. I'll wear some lipstick every so often and maybe eyeliner because I think my eyes are my best feature, but it's on rare occasions. DH says I'm beautiful and don't need make-up.

I think with TTGP being a proverbial revolving door, the 'rules' prevented people from AW their speashul snowflake question that gets discussed daily on the threads. How many 'I'm 4 days late what should I do' posts can you read before you start to twitch?
I'm all for fresh posts, new things to discuss that we haven't already beaten to death but not in favor of posts for every random thought, ESPECIALLY duplicate random thoughts.

Not sure if this is a confession but I feel bad for the ladies on the November board. My due date was originally in November so I was on that board for the first month. I thought they had a great community but then the banathon happened and everything fell apart. It sucks that those ladies don't have the support and community like we have.
@kbduke Yep! Their board kind of blew up over lobsters and sandwiches... Good thing we have the "What my pregnant self is eating" board! I don't really foresee this group having the same issues, but you never know.
November 16 board, sandwich one is all the way at the bottom. The person who started the one about the sandwiches started the one about lobsters as well as several other "posted before searching" threads.

Same for me, but only a week because our US the week after we found out said December. I was so nervous coming over here because I liked the girls over there. But from all the drama I've been hearing about (and seeing from when I lurk) I'm glad I'm here. You ladies are awesome!

Honestly, this community board has really impressed me. Before I got married, I tried to be a part of the Knot...miserable experience. I introduced myself, tried to support, and everything I posted was met with rude or snarky comments. There were some nice people, but I felt so uncomfortable and left. Maybe I was just super annoying to them? I dunno.
So I was a little nervous joining the Bump, but I have been really enjoyed my time here. We can have discussions without tearing each other down, the support is awesome, and I love the sense of humor. Thanks for including me in your community, ladies!

Actually most of it went down before the food threads. Oakleypoozle or something like that used the report button as a dislike getting many long time ladies banned, and blocked/ignored all but like 3 ladies within days. Then they had a small exodus to a private board they made.
