I feel like Dolly Parton lately in the boob department. Before pregnancy, I was H cup. My boobs are constantly getting bigger. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm going to knock someone out soon with them. I need to go bra shopping because my back is killing me.
  • 16 weeks tomorrow. Takes my body over a day to fully recovered from a good workout...but I only take 1 day off all week so basically I'm just always physically wiped.

I'm starving but can barely eat. I didn't feel this at until much later last time. It's annoying.

Pee all the time...cramps when I pee...Pee volume getting less because I gotta go more often. Boo.

Acne still hates me. Patience is not my strong suit right now.

I think I'm nesting already...and by that I mean making lots of lists of things to do/clean then don't feel like doing it.

Add me to the no weight gain camp. But my belly looks like it did at 6 or 7 months last time. I'm sure eventually I'll be complaining about too fast of weight gain so I'm not going to complain right now.

@sourlemon I'm with you on the cramping while peeing issue. It's annoying and painful.

I'm also hungry all the time but can only eat small amounts. It's like I'm already running out of room.

RLP is terrible right now. Any sudden movement brings it on.
  • @kbduke I don't remember this cramping happening last time. It's something I plan to ask my dr about since it hurts the worst on my c section incision. Probably unrelated but I still feel like asking.

  • -some nausea and aversions, still can't cook
-weight gain... I gained back my loss and 2 lbs on top of that
-GAS. holy mackerel, this is so awful - I'm my own nightmare
    -some RLP but not bad
-takes me longer to recover from workouts
    -fatigue
-serious moodiness. I feel very crabby and a little crazy.
-When I go to eat, I end up eating a LOT. like more than I want... more than I need... I can't figure out why. Afterward I'm like... what did I just do

  • 13-week baby here. Tender boobs, acne, very occasional RLP. Monster hunger and allllll the weight gain. Seriously. I ate a bowl of ice cream last night and was up 1.5 pounds this morning. I've already put on 12 pounds. Which is...ugh. I don't really feel like I'm eating everything in sight, and I work out pretty regularly. I guess my body just wants to hang on to everything.

  • @sourlemon @kbduke Ugh I hate the feeling of being so hungry and then only able to have a few bites before feeling full or kind of sick.

@PensiveCrayon My mom was the same way with me. She ate right, exercised, but still gained 50 pounds (not saying you will!). But she did lose it after I was born. Pregnancy is crazy and it makes our bodies do weird things. I'm still in shock I have to monitor my BP because I never had an issue before. If the doctor is happy then I wouldn't be too hard on yourself.:)
  • @PensiveCrayon remember weight can fluctuate 5 pounds in a day without really "gaining". I can tell if the scale is going to read heavy when my feet are swollen and rings are tight. Sometimes I can look at my diet the day before and say what it was that was salty or something that caused water retention. Other days who knows. If you are holding a lot of water, check your blood pressure. Mornings that I'm heavier my blood pressure is a bit higher.

I gained almost 50 pounds my first pregnancy and that was after being put on a 1500 calorie diet per day by my quack at 16 weeks after gaining 10 pounds. And I walked 2-4 miles a day. I definitely wasn't eating enough to gain that weight...but I still did. I lost the first 30 fast. The rest are still with me. :/

If your doctor isn't worried, it's probably fine. Everyone is different. Just stay healthy. :)
    DD1 5/23/14, DD2 12/5/16   Baby #3 on the way!

  • @dmontgo Yeah. I'm thinking I should just stop obsessing and stop weighing myself so much. I was really careful with my weight before I got pregnant because my mom was obese for as long as I can remember. (I say "was" because she got gastric bypass, but I think she's already gaining it back, and it just makes me really, really sad for her.) As long as I focus on staying as healthy as I can and keeping up a good exercise routine, things should be okay.

And I didn't say this before, but I was really bummed for you about the high blood pressure thing. Here's hoping everything goes well with the situation and you can have a great hospital birth.

  • @PensiveCrayon I am with you on the struggle of trying not to obsess about weight. I was raised in an environment where being skinny was the ultimate goal, and sad to say I'm still working on body love. Weight problems run in my family as well, which I guess is where the obsession came from. I don't have much advice, but I do understand the mixed feelings/guilt of weight gain that pregnancy brings to the forefront. It's hard, but if we stay healthy then we have done our best.

And I appreciate the encouragement. My midwife had said some things to me she shouldn't have, which made the news much worse. I'm still emotionally sore from the disappointment, but with everything going on, it's really for the best. Interviewing some doulas soon! :)

    - I've been really sore in my lower abdominal area - almost feels like I got kicked or punched kind of sore :-(
    - Still dealing with nothing sounding good to eat
    - RLP at the strangest times
    - Feeling winded withoutdoing all that much
    - Still dealing with more fatigue 2nd tri than at all in 1st

@dmontgo - I'm sorry you're having to deal with a finicky BP and that your midwife spoke out of turn, you didn't need that :-( Fingers crossed you can find a solution that makes you happy!!

Edited bc the bump ate half my post. Again!

Energy levels are back, but I'm also on summer break and able to be lazy.

Amen. I think I have more energy, I'm pretty sure, it's just that I'm so not motivated to do anything other than watch the news, play Sudoku on my phone, and nap.
  • My symptoms this week:
    - woah where did this acne come from?
    - extremely sore feet and legs (on my feet all day at work and were in the process of moving)
    - very bad headaches. Yesterday was the first day in I don't know how long that I didn't have one.
    - starting to crave completely random things. Yesterday I NEEDED Chinese food, yet I hate Chinese food.
    - bathroom breaks are becoming a lot more frequent.
    - had a couple days with extremely swollen gums.
    - still no constipation! Wooo
  • @jennbaylor12 Put me down for the windedness. It sucks. I am constantly taking breaks in between chores. Do we know why this happens? I saw the increased blood flow, but didn't know if there's more to it.

And thank you! When I interviewed my midwife with DH, we absolutely loved her because she was so kind and nurturing, and especially knowledgeable. But when she took my BP she flipped out and made comments about my imminent death and that my baby is doing this to me and doesn't care about me, in addition to saying I cannot have a home birth. Of course, I burst into tears! It took me some time to process that because it hurt my feelings deeply...I couldn't even write my appointment update with those things in it at first because i would cry! After that, I wouldn't go back to her even if magically things got better.

Also, I be sure to copy my post before I hit submit in case Bump eats my posts... has happened one too many times. :/
  • the nausea is like, almost completely gone! hooray!
the headaches are getting bad. they bother me throughout the day but they are now waking me up at night. i'm wondering if they are sinus related now, since they seem to be worse at night when i'm more congested.  i'm also a little worried about my blood pressure since it read a little high at my last appointment, but DH broke my sphygmomanometer years ago so I can't check it at home. I guess it's time to buy a new one!  hopefully it was just stress, but every time I get a headache I am worried about it.
otherwise, the boobies are still sore and although i'm pooping better (since i'm eating again!) it's definitely uncomfortable and the caliber isn't there (sorry, might be TMI), which I'm blaming on my retroverted uterus squishing my rectum.
    pregnancy is so glamourous!

    I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow.
    - I've been getting so hungry so quickly this week. It's like an angry hunger...I have to get food quickly or else.
    - still queasy in the afternoons, but (knocks on all the wood) I think it may be letting up some.
    - I think I'm at the point where I can start to overdo it. I was out all day yesterday, did tons of walking, and was miserable last night.

what a heartless thing to say, I would have burst into tears too!  so sorry D, I really hope she realized how insensitive she was being.
  • @zubenescamali What hurt the most was thinking my baby doesn't care about me. Yeah, baby is in utero and not conscious yet, but that comment really didn't sit right with me.

I hope your headaches get better! I used to get migraines a lot, and it was awful. Good vibes being sent your way!

@beff12 If I stay out late (like 10pm), it takes me all of the next day to recover. Sad lol.
  • 15w4d here!

    • My nose has been SO stuffy lately. And it's mainly my left nostril.
    • I have only gained about 7lbs. so far, which I think is amazing considering what I ate 1st trimester to ward off any MS, and the lack of workouts.
    • I also don't really look PG, more of the "did she eat a big meal?" or "has she gained weight?" look. At least with announcing publicly last week, I feel better letting whatever show.
    • Constipation, but then mixed with the D. I am just happy to be able to go.
    • MS on and off. It's mainly at night, which I am OK with... when we're just sitting on the couch watching TV.
    • Fatigue. But, it also varies by day. I still lay down for a bit when I get home from work (I am done at 3:30), and usually get some energy after that, or none at all. Mostly, none at all. If I do workout, I need to take a day off in between... I am just so tired afterwards - no matter if it's just walking on the treadmill or going to Zumba.
    • Headaches when I wake up, but usually go away once I start moving around

    16 weeks today!

-No more nausea (I think..I haven't taken my nausea meds going on 3 days now...)
-Vivid, vivid dreams. Had a sex dream within a sex dream last night. Weirdest dream ever.
-Speaking of sex dreams, DH is enjoying my increased libido ;)
-RLP. I mean seriously, I'm just sneezing, no need to throw a fit!
-Baby movement!!!! At night I'm feeling these twitches in my belly, and I'm thinking it's the baby! DH is sad he can't feel anything yet.
-Increased energy. I'm not taking daily naps anymore and I'm going to bed after 10 instead of 9.
-Pregnancy brain is real and very annoying. I've informed my boss I'll have to resign as his memory, as I'm so scatterbrained now.
-Dropsies. I am dropping EVERYTHING! Keys, papers, the remote. I am over how much more clumsy I am! DH came home and the keys were on the floor and was like "What's this?" and I just broke down crying how I was sick and tired of constantly dropping them and refused to pick them up. He laughed.
    -Still emotional

    - Hello second trimester and your dream-gasams.
    - Boobs are huge (to me) and I hate it. Was not really even an A before, just barely a B now. So annoying have things to get in your way and be constantly covered in crumbs! I feel for all you ladies that deal with this your whole lives!
    - Ribs feel sore. Like they're already expanding. Seems to early for that. But I am short so maybe there's just no room in there =\
    - Counting down until the bump stops looking like a food baby and turns into a real baby.
  • I'm down a total of 4 1/2 lbs (which all things considered with this MS I don't think is really a big deal right now) but doc scolded me a little yesterday and told me to watch it.

RLP! I didn't realize I've been having it for about 3 weeks now but after talking with OB yesterday that's exactly what it is.

Still puking. This morning I got it all over the carpet and my feet before catching it in my hands while running to the toilet. Yey.

New this week: sciatica. OB gave me a referral for physical therapy and I'm going to call them to set up a consultation.

  • I'm 15 weeks, 5 days. I finally have some energy back!  It's great because we're moving this weekend. I hope it sticks around, lol.
  • 16 weeks tomorrow and I am going on day 3 of an on and off headache. I am thinking its sinus related, but its really starting to get on my nerves and all my normal things to fix it are not helping.

I am also starting to have lots of cramping when I have to pee - lots earlier than I remember with my last 2, but I guess that is to be expected at this point.

Other than that I just want to sleep! I have 2 more days of work and then I am off until August 8th. Ready to take some naps during the day etc.

I am also seriously feeling the need to nest (probably because I know I have a big break coming up and I want to get it done before I go back to work and work until baby comes), but mostly I am waiting or our anatomy scan to plan or buy much.

    - RLP when I try to switch position in bed
    - still haven't gained weight but I have a little bump, it can be hidden with a flowy shirt though.
    - I'm also noticing that I'm extremely winded again now, that went away for over a month during the first trimester.  Then again, I also didn't work out much to notice  :-1:
    - starving all the time, but can't eat large enough quantities to fill me up.  It's like the appetite goes away as soon as I get food in front of me.

  • I am 16w4d and I don't feel a ton of symptoms right now.  The only ones that really stand out:

More emotional - including a little ragey sometimes!
Bacne, which I never ever have
Horrible bloodshot eyes (ok, not sure if this is a pregnancy thing because they are dry or something else like allergies but I'm just going to put it here in case anyone else is having eye trouble?)

@cgss11 This is me exactly. Unless I eat a big meal, I don't exactly "look" pregnant. I haven't gained weight either. I'm glad I'm not alone because I was wondering if I was doing something wrong...people always ask where bump is, and as a FTM I'm just like....it's out to lunch? >.>

I'm getting my energy back, too, but this heat makes me stop to rest more often. Drinking LOTS of water.
One day I gain 3lbs, next day it's gone back to what it was before. I'm really tall (5'10") and athletic, so I'm thinking the bump won't really show up for a while. So jealous of the ladies on the hdbd thread! I swear, when I look down there is a bump, but when I see myself in photos, no dice.

On a positive note, I realized this week that my boobs don't hurt! I couldn't sleep on my belly for a few weeks because of how much they hurt.

Oh yeah, and the acne. Still there. Worse than when I was 14. Waiting for that to go away....

    16 weeks 1 day

My back is starting to hurt after standing (or sitting) for long periods of time.

I've started getting sciatic nerve pain in my right leg.  So I need to pay attention to how I sit and lay down.

Constipation is still an issue, but hemmrhoids less so (it's the small victories!). I just pooped for the first time in 4 days, at work....  Definitely have not been a work pooper before.  Pregnancy is miraculous.

I've lost 15 pounds from the day I got my BFP to now. My OB hasn't made any mention of it, I could've stood to lose a little weight were I not pregnant. My mom told me that she was the same way, she would lose weight 1st and 2nd tri and then gain it all back 3rd tri. Not sure if that kind of thing is genetic or not but it did make me feel better.

MS still going strong, I have really bad heartburn at night, and I have had the absolute worst gas pains the last few weeks. Also I've been emotional which is nothing new. The bloody noses I had been having are clearing up, finally.

I'm not having a lot of symptoms right not except intermittent rage, exhaustion at the end of the day, and acne. That and feeling fat rather than pregnant. I still haven't told anyone at work, so a lot of mornings are spent trying to figure out what to wear that won't make me look suspicious or like I've been pounding the Budweisers.

  • 15 weeks tomorrow and MS is slowly going away, but like others said, I say that now & then have a bad day.

Weight gain: I'm up 5 lbs.  At this point with my previous 2 pregnancies, I was either still negative a couple lbs or I was at a break even point.  I know my body will do whatever it needs to do, but I am more active and in shape than I was with the others! This is why my H thinks it's a girl, LOL (i'm not sure his rationale)

    HEADACHES, especially at night.
PEEING two-three times in the middle of the night
Sharp pain in my cervix area
RLP if I move too quickly or sneeze

  • 16 weeks and some change. I am mostly major symptom free at this point but what I do experience...

    - Headaches - not a fan.
    - Constipation - usually what prompt the headaches. I may or may not have just used an overturned coffee creamer box at work as a makeshift "squatty potty." Fun fact: it worked.
    - RLP off and on, but mostly avoidable and not terribly painful.
    - Wacky cravings and the inability to stop snacking. I don't know my weight gain at the moment but I venture to guess it...exists.
    - Stuffy nose/popped ear due to sinuses
    - Drier than ever skin (normal for me but this is x349583495)
    - I've RAGED more lately than I did earlier. Guess my hormones are still wackadoo.
    - Still no sex drive. That will come back, right? Right? RIGHT?!?!?!?
