Love all these names! And so jealous of how decisive you all are! We're team green, but we've only narrowed the field down to a handful of likes for each sex... Hoping the little one leads us in the right direction once we meet them! (Cuz we sure can't decide on our own, it seems...)

Part of me is nervous that he's going to get here, we'll look at him, and think, "He's not a Remy at all! He's a *insert random name here*" But hey, nothing is ever set in stone I suppose! I have a friend who completely changed her daughter's name after a few months to something completely different. Guess it just didn't fit!
@NoraAurora hahaha... I'm getting looks from DH from the laughter. That said, I mean, I just can't see what someone could do with that info. Also, I recognize her as being a more regular poster earlier on so I felt extra okay with it.
@NoraAurora I am half laughing really hard at that hashtag and half thinking "Eeeek!" to myself. Here I am again... terrible at stranger danger. Seriously.
I'm perennially suspicious. I've seen a fair amount of cat fishing too in years on TB so that really affects what I will & wont post...all is cool and good until a creeper comes along.
We are team green. Boy: Cooper Oliver (mine) or Cooper Abram (DH) Girl: Amelia Brooke
@Julia70286 that happened with my parents. My name was going to be Alesha but my dad looked at me and said she looks like a (insert name). This all happened while my mom was in recovery. I would not have been happy with DH if he did that with my girls.
I'm compromising on the "Lexi" first name, it's been DH's one and only girl name since before we ever got married, it's not my favorite but I get dibs on the next kid
Team Green Girl: Vivienne Faye (mn after my grandma) Boy: Anthony Ellis (fn same as dad, grandpa, great-grandpa) we aren't sharing irl so I feel a little weird putting it out on the Internet...oh well, we could still change our minds.
There are some really great names on our board! I won't be able to play until DD is here for us to see before we give her a final name.
We are making progress though, I finally had DH look at my list and do some narrowing down. We are at our top... 14! Middle name will be Marie after my MIL.
If LO had been a boy the name would likely have been either: Henry Maurice Andrew Maurice (Maurice after DH's grandpa)
Boy: Thomas Frederick - we will call him Tommy. He's the 5th, keeping the tradition going.
LOVING all the baby names!! So excited for everyone!
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
Boy: James Monroe. James, after my Pop Pop who just passed away. Monroe, because we liked it. We plan to call him Jaime but we'll see if the nickname fits once we meet him.
You know that James Monroe was a President, best known for the Monroe Doctrine asserting American supremacy as well as his harsh treatment of his slaves and his chronic overspending and indebtedness, right?
You may not care that people think you named him after the president, but it was the first thing that popped into my mind.
@ibabyloveb87 yay!! It's a really nice to tradition. Happy we were able to keep it going!

I knew he was a President but didn't think many, if anyone would make the connection. You're the first person to notice or bring it up. It didn't really bother me because 1. He's NOT named after the President and 2. After birth and initially telling everyone the name, his middle name will likely never be spoken or brought up. We still have plenty of time to let it marinate, it's not written in stone so if we decide that it bothers us, we'll think of an alternative middle name.

meh... I wouldn't worry about it @MRSCORKER... For the exact reasons you outlined. I think the name is perfect.
@MRSCORKER I wouldn't worry about it either. If his full name is brought up, it'll be with your last name and probably have a totally different ring to it
I feel the same way about Robert Lee. Add a last name in there and it's not the same anymore. @AshleyGemini24

Yeah, I mean, when I see names like our's and @AshleyGemini24s I have one second of recognition and make the connection (whether historical or otherwise) and then I move on without assuming anything. I mean, my girlfriend just named her LO George. I never once assumed it was after the baby Prince even though I made the connection.

@MRSCORKER Another vote for who cares about the name relation to the president. He's not named after the president and I love the story about how you came up with his name.
@mrscorker - maybe I should be ashamed of my history knowledge, but despite briefly thinking, huh, that sounds like a president, all I really thought was, that's a strong name with a great flow. Now, if you had settled on Adolf or Stalin, I may have been a little worried...
@von1976 is Henry James after the author or did you just happen to pick those two?
We've finally found a name we both like (though it's very uncommon in the US): Boy - Peregrine (no middle name yet, but we probably won't have that until we need to send the birth certificate application in).
