WTF my mother-in-law texted me ten minutes before my alarm and woke me up =( Apparently one of his aunts wants to help with the shower - which is sweet - but it's barely over a month away and my aunts have been working on it all this time. Oh well - it is probably not as horrifying to them to have to speak to another person as it is for me. (Side note - one of my husband's aunts was actually school friends with one of my aunts - but it's a completely different one who wants to help with the shower.)

WTF dreams, seriously? Why are you making my man run off with other women, then have him call to me to tell me in great detail their previous sexual exploits? Now I feel angry, betrayed, and even guilty all at the same time from vivid situations that didn't even happen in real life! Wtf male coworker asking if I plan to breastfeed. Regardless of my answer, how is you knowing that about me going to improve either of our lives? And no, even if you have a young child and think your experience and opinions are relevant, I don't need advice on what I should or shouldn't do. Wtf husband that acts like a 3 year old!! I know I'm partly to blame because I enable it, and can't say no and stick to it, but he is the type of guy that will come to me and ask me to make him a doctors appointment then bitch and scream that I can't get through, then finally get him in and the doctor wants to do a physical including blood work before prescribing him meds to quit smoking, because he wanted to make sure hubby was healthy enough to endure he meds. Well hubby wasn't paying attention when the doc said why he had to do blood work, so of course I'm wrong when I tell him what the doc said, and the form says to fast, which hubby feels having a double double coffee before the blood work is fine (because you know he doesn't really need to have blood work done, it's just for the doctor to bill the health care system). I try telling him that it's going to be a waste of time to do blood now because his numbers are going to be skewed and the doctor will have him retake it before giving him the meds, but nope I'm being the bitch. And now I'm sitting here at his work waiting for him to tell me if I'm taking him to waste his time or his friend is.

Also the dreams I am there with you, they are either my husband cheating, my car getting stolen, losing my phone or it not working in a bad situation. Why can't I have good dreams????
Wtf heartburn?! It hit me hard last night. And I've never had it before so I didn't know what was happening. I thought something was seriously wrong and I broke down crying for a good hour. I eventually figured it out and took some tums. I hope this doesn't become a regular thing.
@krzyriver, I've never had heartburn till this pregnancy too.... i didn't realize how bad it could be! Keep on hand some zantac for when it gets super super bad.
WTF MIL and FIL? I appreciate the support and concern, but you've asked me FOUR TIMES to re-consider our Christmas trip to see my family on the other side of the world (Philippines). Yes, I know the baby will only be 10 weeks old....Yes we know there might be unforeseen circumstances (which is why we bought cancel for any reason travel insurance), and yes we HAVE asked our doctor if it's okay... No, my family cannot travel to San Diego as there are 8 of them.... And no I will not postpone my trip till the baby is a year old. ITS MY FAMILY!!!!
@annabenanna You'll probably have an easier trip with a 10 week old than you would have with a 1 year old! We took DS to England to visit my husband's family when he was 5 months old, and when he was a year and 5 months. The first trip was MUCH easier.

Just said let's try to get his 8-week shots done ahead of time.
@F47 that's what I hear from the moms I've asked... they're like "go for it! it's so much easier when they're that little!"
@books&icecream, that's what doc said too! "by then he'll have his first round of shots, he'll be good!" But my in-laws are making me feel like I'm being a bad mother by wanting to take the baby to see MY FAMILY. I haven't expressed my frustration to SO, but I feel like he knows because he can tell by my facial expressions when his parents ask us to re-consider EVERY TIME we talk to them. I can't wait for my trip to Atlanta for 4th of July when I get to see my in-laws in person and they get to ask me another 235 times to re-consider. I might just give em attitude!

WTF to CBS for cancelling Person of Interest. Probably one of the best shows to have ever aired and they were dealt a shortened fifth season into cancelling. Incredible show finale though.

Sorry but y'all live in the same town as us and my family doesn't. We're going to see my family, and yes we're taking the baby with us. Next year when he might kind of get Christmas may be different, but until then, deal with it.
You know what part irks me the most? They don't even celebrate Christmas (they're Jewish), and they want to come over for Christmas and stay with us to meet the baby.... but for me that's even harder because: 1.) That means we'll have a full house: 2 bedrooms 1 bath with 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 baby... and me having to entertain with no room to escape to.... and 2.) I would feel awkward MAKING them celebrate Christmas with me. and DAMMIT, it's my favorite holiday!
So when we told them we were going to the Philippines (but that they were welcome to stay at the house and have their grandkids/my stepkids stay with them while we are gone)... then we could come back and all celebrate New Year's and Hanukkah together....they got all pouty.
we are driving 21 hours to the florida keys in January with lil mama. I thought about flying and then realized I want all her gear, and my DH hasn't had his annual road trips since 2011 soooo we are driving. pray for us. lol
@mrszoess oh man... that's a looooong drive. I'm over a drive after 5 hours... no way I could make it all the way to the Keys. You're a tougher woman than I

DH has been doing that trip since he was little and its nostalgic for him. and he wants to do it as a family. how can I say no? (also: I can drink by then so thatll definitely help)
WTF... I'm in Houston this week for business an d this weekend I'll be in Austin with my brother and sister in law. The husband was supposed to meet me there (ticket bought and everything!) so we could check it out for a potential move, but his sciatic is flared up and now doesn't want to go. He better be able to get a credit or refund if he doesn't go. I mean, I get it... my sciatic has been bothering me for since week 13? 14? I'm just disappointed. I was really looking forward to the trip WITH him. Hopefully he feels better and can go afterall.
@ignoscemihiHaha no clue, I doubt it based on how they usually handle things, but if he tries to give me more advice I'm def planning to advise him not to keep doing that. Wtf to my cats who want to walk across my belly. I know they can jump, I've seen it! But nope they want to walk and stop at the most uncomfortable spot. I'm starting to think my kid might be born with a paw imprint somewhere on his body.

TL;DR: We're waiting for a call back to set it up.
I spoke with the occupational therapist today and she submitted the paperwork last week so we're just waiting for a call back to schedule the test, but she'd double check that it was received. She said they'd be doing the STAT test, which is like a pre-screen where they decide whether or not to pursue formal autism testing. We're kind of in a time crunch because we want to get this done before he turns 3 in August because that's when the school district takes over (all our services thus far have been done through the local children's hospital and we LOVE them). In the meantime, we're getting his hearing checked to rule out other fun things. Thanks for asking!
