  • Whaaaaat that's awful @clover28. No mom should EVER be told their kid doesn't look that sick when they are very concerned!  At least back up that statement with some data for why he's not that sick.

  • My TW: landscaping contractor.  Got our landscaping done last week and I'm really annoyed that they removed some of my perfectly good plants! When our design plan was done, the plants hadn't come up yet, so maybe the workers didn't see it in the design plan but STILL why would you remove perfectly good plants? I'm more so upset about the front area, they removed 4 plants so there's a big empty spot there!!! The landscape contractor was apologetic, said it was a misunderstanding because the design plan showed an empty there (yeah, b/c my plants didn't come up yet when he took those pics and I later told him that my plants came back up there so I didn't need new plants in that spot). Why would I want to remove plants and have an EMPTY spot there?! He said he will replace and replant with any plants I want.  Too bad my plants were rare hybrids and probably can't get them anymore.  I don't even know when they're going to replace them, it's almost July...ugh.
  • @clover28 Oh my goodness! I'm sorry you had to deal with that!
My TW is myself...I had been doing so good with my workout program and getting up every morning to do it and my eating was going okay, not great, but not terrible well the past probs 2 weeks or so my eating has been TERRIBLE and I have not been getting my workouts in!!! NO ones fault but my own! also Im not drinking enough water like I normally do and have once again been back on those sugary coffees and I have had a soda everyday since friday :( i never drink that stuff really!  at least not that much!

  • @NurseMarie9 Oh man, I would be so angry at that landscaping contractor.  Sorry you're dealing with that!  Hopefully he puts some nice plants in soon!
  • @clover28 Good job standing up for yourself and your kid!
@NurseMarie9 Oh NOOOOOOOOO!!!  I would be in tears and hysterics.  Hopefully they canmostly make it right?  :(  now my tw doesnt seem that bad, also garden-related...

My puppy us the TW bc one of the four peonies I potted, which my Mil gave me for my birthday, was starting to come up so nicely!  I've never grown peonies from scratch, so this is a big deal for me.  I was so happy, I almost took a picture! (Even though it really doesn't look like much of anything yet) lol  Another one just has the tiniest mini-sproutlets, so I'm all, cool!  Even if 2/4 take, that would be BRILLIANT!!

...until I go out there to water and see that the dog has freaking EATEN THEM!!  WTH, dog!!!  It has such a nice little leaf sprouting up, almost 3" tall, and you have to go and freaking break it?  Needless to say the plants are going to be better cordoned off from now on... :/  I am still sad about it...
  • @Aurora1973 Oh no!! I am so sorry that sounds seriously SO frustrating!!

@Aurora1973 That is a horrible process to have to go through to BEGIN with, let alone to then have road blocks with it. I'm sorry that happened! That's so crappy!! If it's any consolation, DH and I live 1.5 hours way from the clinic we got his tested at. They told me there was a 2-3 hour window in which I had to get it there in.

Edit: Because consultation is NOT consolation....
  • Mine is my sister-in-law. Let me preface that I do genuinely love her, and this total situational twatwaffleness.

She texted DH yesterday morning basically saying they needed a dog sitter for the next 10 days, but not really asking if we could do it. There were legitimate reasons why she didn't want to board her, but now we have an uninvited house guest.

DH and I have two dogs, a 25 pound mutt and a 10 pound miniature poodle. Her dog is a total sweetheart, but a Boxer who is bouncing and hyperactive. The boxer pinned down my poodle yesterday when they got here and scared the crap out of him. Now I feel like I either have to be on high alert for the next 10 days or to keep her separated from my little guy. I'm also trying to finish two Masters classes this week, so the timing is horrible to be worried about anything else but being a paper writing champion.
  • Thanks everyone.  I knew you guys would understand!  @mrsdaddario, yes that does make me feel a little better!  I'm just hoping the fact that it cooled off isn't a problem.

  • @canokr01 I'm really bad about sugary iced coffees and I have had a couple sodas a week in the last 2 weeks. I need to get better at that too! Iced coffees/lattes are so good in the summer though.

@mrsstuessy oh my that sounds painful! I'm sorry you're going through that. I am absolutely terrified of the dentist and having to make multiple trips sounds awful.

@clover28 hope your DS feels better soon!!

@BusinessWife I was so upset! Hoping they will replace them soon. And sorry about your poor peonies!  :o

  • @GrabberBlue2010 @NurseMarie9 It was actually not bad at all yesterday, during my root canal. I was super nervous, but there was about 5 seconds of pain and for the rest of it I was super relaxed and almost falling asleep at one point. It is difficult to eat today, but I have been having pain there for the last 3 months. So, I am more than willing to put up with "healing" pain today. Dealing with the idiots at the office and with the insurance is actually a lot more of a headache than the actual procedure.

  • The employee from the building next door is a TW for using my car's trunk as her shelf... WHILE I WAS IN THE CAR!!! A parent once set her purse on my front hood until I went to open the door to get out too. And that's just what I've seen from inside my vehicle. Either I have to park far away and the remote starter won't work or park closer and get random marks from things like that and kids' book bag zippers!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • Can I have two twatwaffles???
I mean the first one was myself .. the second one is my friend...So i sell tupperware as a side buisness and My friend is hosting a party tomorrow and I normally just do book/online parties, but last second the girl who was going to do my friends party cant so she asked if i would do it and I would get the commission and yadda yadda.. So I said okay i would even though I'm nervous and do not want to talk to people and yeah not my style...well now my friend is totally flaking out about even having the party at all! and like she lives an hour away and i dont want to drive after work that far for a party that she isnt even attempting to try to get ppl to come to..like just straight up cancel it please, instead of being like "well honestly everyone has to work" and just stop  beating around the bush...and to TOP IT OFF, my brother in laws fiance is having a tupperware party tonight and(she also signed up to sell it and thats a story for a different tuesday) and i was not going to go as many of you know its my anniversary and my hubby was going to plan something but since I decided to do my friends party, i thought i would just go to my soon to be sister in laws and get a "reminder" of how in home parties work.....but now my friend is most likely not going to have hers so really no reason to for me to go to this stupid party tonight when all i want to do is stay home with DH and watch season 7 of Pretty little liars! but its too late to back out of the RSVP. also its an hour away too..but at least there is a Diary queen i can hit up my way outa town! haha
so i am all ranting and im sure my grammar and spelling is horrible!!

But mostly, I commented to say "OMG Pretty Little Liars!!!!!" I can't wait to watch it! Although, we recently cancelled our cable and will have to wait until its on ABC Family to watch it. So maybe tmrw morning while I'm getting ready. :)

  • My TW is my husband. I handle our finances because he has no concept of a budget or how to save money. We have a joint account, but we have decided that whatever OT he works, he can keep that money and use for his own wants and desires. Meanwhile, OT for me is not an option, so I pretty much get nothing (even though I make more money). Anyways, I filled him in on the state of our finances THIS MORNING and let him know that I would like for us to spend with a little more caution for a little while because our son's birthday is coming up in 2.5 weeks and I don't want to have to charge the credit card if we don't have to (something we are majorly trying to pay off at this moment in time). Now, he texts me saying that he wants to take $100 from the joint account (not his OT money) to go towards buying tires for his "fun" car. Seriously? Ugh. And if I say no, he turns into a 4 year old. Repeat to self: I love my husband. I love my husband. I love my husband. I love my husband. :)

  • @QueenOfGlitz Netflix has all 6 seasons if you decide to catch up. I quit watching it a few seasons back and got all caught up in the middle of the 6th season. So ready for season 7!
  • My TW is the guy from Enterprise Car Rentals who lied about my car inspection. I got the bill for damage to the trunk from blue paint. I have explained that the TW employee never opened the trunk during our walk around, but he told his area manager he did. I'm BEGGING them to check surveillance footage, but they are ignoring my request. They have no proof other than this guy's word. The fact that the paint was dry when I gave the car back should be proof alone, as it wouldn't have had time to dry if I'd done it. I'm so stressed about this!

From now on, I'll never rent without video footage of the inspection, and I'll NEVER rent from this company again.

@MollyandD Contact the state attorney general and see if they can do anything. Maybe the BBB, too. Do you have a local reporter who does stuff about consumer problems like Jesse Jones? And a letter to Enterprise corporate mentioning that you're contacting the attorney general. Don't give up! If nothing else, dispute the charge through your CC. The whole story is a straight-up big-ol crock-o-shhhhhh. He told his area manager y'all opened the trunk on the walk around? B****, please. I have NEVER had someone open the trunk during a car rental walk around. Ever. Everrrrrr.

  • @Kiki75 you have great ideas! And yeah, they told me opening the trunk is part of the training of the employees and that he would have done that. For real though, security camera footage would prove that the guy is lying but they won't even respond to my request. I'm communicating with them strictly through e-mail from here on, because the area manager lied and twisted my words around too. I lost my trust in that company. I'll look into a BBB report, and I've already told my CC company not to allow payment to them. I am just worried they will report my nonpayment to my credit report.
