  • @canokr01Sorry you're puppy's not feeling great, but have a safe/fun trip and a Happy Anniversary!!!!! :D
@SandwichLover Arggghhhh hang in there, hopefully AF stays away!
@MrsBinPA I know what you mean about just getting on with it... I jut haven't tested yet so I maybe have that faint glimmer of hope, but not really.  Finding myself procrastinating by working on my virtual cloth diaper-stash.  If I can make it though to AF without blowing $$$ on cloth diapers in a fit of desperation, it will be a good thing.  But I do appreciate you're rooting for us!!!  I need to just put it out of my mind and get down to business here...
  • @BusinessWife Thank you!!
FX crossed for you!!  Sending positive vibes your way! :)

    CD/DPO: 22/9

    Timing: -3, -1, 0

    Testing: Today BFN

R/R/CS: Temp went back up today, but BFN this AM. My temps usually are about this range, so it's nothing out of the ordinary. It's still a little early, my LP is 13 days, but I'm feeling like I'm out. If I am out, then July will be the last cycle before I finally get to see the OBGYN for my "preconception" appt. Maybe I'll get some answers and be able to get labs done by then. Feels so long from now :(

GTKY: What was your favorite childhood toy? I loved playing with Barbies!
  • @housewifehobbyist So sorry that ttcal is getting to you today... ((hugs)) FWIW, I'm not so sure getting a bfp at 13-14 dpo is really considered all that late, is it?  I thought I read somewhere about if you haven't gotten af by 18dpo, then test bc you're probably pregnant!  I know most of us around here aren't waiting near that long, but I do hope you'll try not to think the worst... <3

@NurseMarie9 so sorry about the negative test - FX it's still early!! ((Hugs))
  • @BusinessWife I was getting faint BFP at 17-18 dpo, but implantation was 14-15 (you could see a clear dip that correlated the timing of the faint BFP).  Very late BFPs do not end well for me. :(
  • @housewifehobbyist I'm sorry to hear that. I understand your concern though. I was 16DPO the first and 17DPO the second. Neither was a happy ending. Us late implanters never seem to be taken too serious at the doctors. MY OB put my on Progesterone for 3 cycles to see if it would help but I didn't have much luck.

  • @kirstinh88 Mall Madness was a great game. That's where I learned the meaning of "clearance."
  • *tw- losses* @nwegman7878 Sorry about your losses, and the fact that progesterone didn't help.  It's frustrating.  My doctor is one of the best in NYC (he used to head up a major hospital and then semi retired to a very small private practice.  My old gyn stopped taking my insurance so she asked that he take me on).  From what he said, it is likely a combination of my long LPs allowing it and a genetically unfit embryo trying to implant, which is why it takes so long.  He wouldn't put me on progesterone because he thought mine was dropping for a reason, which I understand.  End of July is the year mark for me and he suggested genetic testing and testing sperm/egg quality at that point.  Not sure if that helps you at all, but I thought I'd share.

@MollyandD That is so good that you are working out like that.  We have a pilates studio nearby I have been thinking would be great to try, but I also know it's not cheap!  But would be an awesome way to get body ready for baby, too, I think.  I haven't seen orgasm birth, I might look for that! lol  There was one I was going to get called natural hospital birth: the best of both worlds.  Since there are NO BIRTHING CENTERS in the entire State of NJ.  Really?!?!  So we pretty much have our hospital in mind, (unless we go all the way with home birth, which we shall see...) but I think it's So super important to go into it being prepared to be your own and your baby's best advocate, and hopefully have a friend/doula who is on the same page as well!  Luckily, my health plan covers <strike>10%</strike>  100%!!!  midwifery so I am all:

My mom is a physician too, so she is like All. In. with the whole hospital scene, so she might actually die of a heart attack if I told her we were looking at home birth.  lol The good news is, if there are any complications, you do want to have the doctors close by, but there are ways to do it that don't have to feel so clinical, I think.

@Marley629 Ugh!  That is so annoying when the tech is acting up!  Sometimes I think you're so right though and taking it as a sign for break can be a good thing. ;)  BUT!  I saw you said @beary67 taught you how to mobile gif?  I tried what it said on the first page of the thread and it didn't work for me!  Do I need to get giphy or something?

@delujm0 Sorry your temps are such nonsense!  Grr!  I am fascinated though about TTFAS since we hope to have a big family.  One of the benefits of this new system I'm learning called Creighton is that it doesn't rely on temps - only CM. So once you learn it, apparently it's great for postpartum because if you're tracking then that first cycle doesn't have to sneak up on you, and then you also wouldn't have to worry about temps getting all screwed up from dealing with the LO at all hours, either.  I'm still learning, but I'm telling you, that is a definite plus there, IMHO.
  • @Businesswife I relied on CM when I was waiting on my first cycle.  My issue is that I would have multiple batches of CM in any given cycle.  which used to happen to me before too (and is maybe connected to my always getting multiple rounds of positive OPKs when I was trying the first time).  But before my first period PP, I had EWCM for like WEEKS.  I actually had my annual OBGYN appointment after about 3 weeks of EWCM, and from the internal exam she said I felt bloated...I have a history of getting cysts surgically removed, so she was concerned enough about it to order a ultrasound.  While the tech was in there I was like "hey, any way you can tell if I'm anywhere near ovulating while you're in there?" and she was like "I bet it's in the next couple of days."  When I met with my doctor afterwards she was like OMG USE PROTECTION CAN I GIVE YOU SOME BIRTH CONTROL.  Apparently I was getting ready to ovulate at least 2, if not 3, mature follicles (hence the bloating).  Having a big family would be awesome, but I was NOT ready to potentially conceive twins when I had a 6 month old at home.  I completely abstained until my period showed up 2 weeks later.

I did temp for the first 3 cycles PP, but my LPs were so short it was bumming me out, so I stopped.  I tried to start up again this cycle, but I was sleeping like garbage (can't even blame the kid, she sleeps through the night).  I need to suck it up and start again next cycle.  I will look into this Creighton situation though, that does sound interesting.  :-)

  • @KirstinH88 my anniversary is one week from today. It's the cotton anniversary, so we are getting new robes this year. Last year was paper, and I had a star named after him (yes, I know NASA doesn't care or recognize it) and gave him the paper certificate, and he gave me a book of love quotes. I'll be 12 DPO according to FF, but 11 according to when I believe I ovulated. Last month, my first temping, my luteal phase was 11 days and I started my period on the 12th day.
  • @MollyandD that is so cute! DH and I (well mostly I) do the same thing. For paper, I gave him a framed picture that said "Always and Forever," our last name and Est. 5/30/2013. For cotton, I gave him a bunch of towels, new shirts, boxers, etc. And this last year was leather. I was running out of time and low on funds, so he got a couple new belts.

Fx for you that this is your cycle! It would be such a special gift. <3

Thank you! FX for you too. I hope we are BM buddies starting immediately.

I love doing traditional gifts. Birthdays and Christmas are fun for those other random gifts, but I like making the anniversary gifts stand out in a different way.
