GTKY: Where Are You From?

I know weekends are slow around here, so I thought I'd post a quick GTKY. Where is everybody from? Are you still living in the area where you grew up? Anyone planning on moving during this pregnancy?

From Denver originally but have spent time in Texas and Pennsylvania before doing a wild-child move at 18 to live in Montana. Couldn't be happier than where I'm at, except for the neighbors haha. Definitely not moving while pregnant!

As for myself: we currently live in Burlington, Vermont. We've lived here for about a year and a half and love it. I grew up in the NYC metro area (Westchester) and have since lived in Boston, LA, and Phoenix. I have no plans to move during this pregnancy, thank goodness. I got to meet a bunch of local moms from my last BMB in person which was awesome, and I hope to have the same experience on this board.

I was born in Georgia and lived there until I graduated college. Lived a few years in TN for grad school and then 4 more back in Georgia for DH med school. We just moved to SC for 3 years. Then, who knows?

I'm from Michigan,metro Detroit. I've moved around this area a lot but we bought our forever home in 2014 a whopping 1.5 miles from the house I grew up in

my kids will go to all of the same schools that I did!

Live in the Central Valley of California. My husband and I both born and raised here too. I live less than a half a mile from where I grew up

love love the area. My kiddos will also go to the same schools that I did unless we decided to move into another area.

I live in Indianapolis. My family is originally from the area but I grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC and then moved to a bunch of other places before ending up here solely after meeting OH while he was visiting Texas (where I lived at the time) with his friends. Very weird coincidence but I'll take it

I was raised in Boston, MA & now live about 45 minutes north of the city. I am actually planning to deliver at the same hospital I was born in! I've only lived out of MA once, when DH & I rented an apartment just over the NH border after college...no plans to move anytime soon - personally, I would love to never move again (I HATE the process), and I do love our house...

We are in the far West suburbs of Chicago. I have always lived in the burbs, except for a year I live just outside Milwaukee with a friend. We just moved in December so aside from finishing that process (we still have a bunch of stuff in storage) We won't be moving anytime soon.

I grew up in North Alabama, went to college (undergrad and grad) in Mississippi where I met DH. We now life in Louisville, KY. We might have to move in a few years if I choose to do a post-doc research fellowship, but we really love it here, so I think we will be trying to find a way to stay.

I'm originally from Texas, lived in Hawaii for the past 3 years, and we just recently moved to Maryland. I looooove it here, but sadly we'll have to move back to Hawaii in about a year and a half. Then we'll come back here and repeat the process. Yay military

I'm originally from NJ and lived there most of my life, but I've been in Germany with H for the last 2 years. The plan in to move back to the states next summer, most likely back to the NYC area. My MIL is suuuuper concerned about how we could possibly move across an ocean with a cat AND a baby (and yet, had the same concerns two years ago when we moved across an ocean with just a cat).

I'm originally from Brazil, moved to Florida, then Pennsylvania, and have been in California for the past 7-8 years. Hopefully we won't have to move this year, our lease runs out in August! Hopefully our landlord will want to renew it!

I am from Phoenix,AZ lived here most of my life with a few states thrown in after DH and I got married for his work. Love the airlines. Lived in NC, NV, Washington State, and back to Gold Canyon,AZ now for 6yrs. We want to put the house on the market since the schools we are near are not the best. If we do move it will be further into town closer to family and church.

I've lived in AZ for my entire life except a short 3 years during middle school when we lived in Oregon. I love it here but he Summer's can be slightly brutal. My DH is originally from Kansas but came here about 6 years ago.

@chelseabriana26 DH and I almost moved to NC from southern California! I love it there.

DH and I are originally from the Twin Cities, MN. We lived in Los Angeles the last 5 years then moved back to Minnesota to be back with family and friends and buy a house. We wanted our future kids to grow up with family. We're in the process of buying a house, and it's very competitive around here!

I think I'm the only New Yorker so far! Born, raised, went to college, and now live in the same county in Western NY! DH has lived in NY, NJ, Virginia, and Florida. I'm not adventurous enough for that much moving. 30 minutes is my moving limit!

I grew up and did most of schooling in Milwaukee. Then I moved to Minneapolis for work (residency). We decided to stay here, SO has family here and job market is good. Looking to buy a house in the next year or so (still doing the renting thing for another year so we can fix up the house if needed).

I'm from North Alabama.... Been in this area my whole life, college included! I love it here and we don't have plans to leave. We may move to the next town over but we will stay in the same area.

Philadelphia now, my husband has to live in the city for his job, so we bought a house last year. I am originally from Montgomery county, PA, which is about 45 minutes away. I lived in upstate NY as a kid and about 7 years ago my husband and I lived in Florida. (Tampa area and Orlando area)
