@Schumerator omg i know the feeling of wishing the day away just to see what the next day's temps do. That's definitely a drawback of temping that i noticed. And then i'd get so excited to temp when i went to bed at night that i wouldn't sleep well. Counterproductive.

@GrabberBlue2010 more *hugs*. I'm glad you got to talk with DH about things, but the situation still sounds like it sucks. I'm sorry  But yay for half a day tomorrow!! (Also, that Ross gif is cracking me up. I super love Friends)

@clover28 I'm with you on AF. Go the F AWAY! (Although i'm only on CD2...so she may not listen to me yet)

@pretzel2plus1 lol It does paint an adorable picture! My pup cracks me up everyday, but half the time DH thinks I'm nuts lol

@sammajane19 Food service jobs are just no fun. At least I haven't ever had one I Iiked

    WAYDTGKU: just bummed about AF.

R/R/CS: felt different this cycle... had avoided buying wondfos "because maybe I won't need them next cycle!!" but going to order today. Blah. Going to start researching fertility boosting remedies.

GTKY: What was your first job? Did you enjoy it? Worked at a daycare!! It was fine but I still can't handle the smell of apple juice anymore.

    @PepperAT Hooray for crosshairs!

@Schumerator I use the clear blue digital advanced, since the blinkie smiley is supposed to help you see more like at least 4 days of FW vs. like 2 if it only gives you peak?  I get the 20-packs on Amazon, I want to say under $40 for 20 units or 2-3 cycles.  I can't remember how much I paid, but not $200!!! (I think maybe you're looking at fertility monitors, which I believe is a different animal all together... but idunno)
  • krys-2krys-2 member
@Schumerator I've seen some of them on Amazon around that price point (my friend is using one, but she's had a lot of trouble trying to get pregnant and was spending a ton on the digital tests like the ClearBlue kind, which is what I assume you are NOT talking about). I don't think I've seen one less than about $200ish.

    WAYDTGKU:  All of it.

R/R/CS:  I don't understand why, after shortening cycles, my cycles would suddenly get super long.  At least my RE appointment is coming up.

GTKY: What was your first job? Did you enjoy it?  Working in a DNA research lab.  I quit after 2 days, so no.
DD born PPROM preemie at 36 weeks on 10/1/17 after over a year TI,

  • @Schumerator Yes I think now I would like it better if it was the only thing I had to do all day! ha! It was really peaceful at times.  For Digital OPKS I have the First Response one.. It will say Yes/ or No and if you get a Yes the test shuts off permanently. It came with about 20 sticks to go inside the reader..It was like 40 dollars I think? I am not sure if I will get that kind if need be next month...

  • **Dirty, dirty lurker** @Schumerator Maybe this will help clarify what you are looking for...

This is the $200~ item.  I do not personally know anyone who uses this.

Similar to what @canokr01 said, this is the product that I use and it is closer to $40~.
  • @bussinesswife @canokr01 @krys ahhh thank you for the clarification! I was like what in the world there is no way that many people pay that much money for this ha! Ok perfect I will look those up :) my O date has been shifting a little these past few cycles and itd be nice to have a heads up instead of constantly wondering!

@Schumerator On the Clearblue Advanced Digital ones - the cheapest I've found them is at Target. $39.99 vs the $55-60 at CVS/Walgreens/drugstore. Amazon runs around $45, but they always seem to be out of stock and delayed prime shipping #protip

That said, I've had shit luck with them and I've given up. Both cycles mine gave me high readings for like 8 or 9 days straight with no peak reading despite having ovulated. I seem to be outside of the norm though, so take it for what you will!

  • @Schumerator just FYI, I just used the CBAD ($40 ones) and it did NOT give me any sort of heads up or help with a bigger window....it was low low low, then it malfunctioned, then I got peak...so no high readings. Everyone has a different expereince, but I would back it up with Wondfo's just in case!

  • Ya, I had pretty good luck with them from the start, but after a while, I did start getting a couple errors, I think maybe because I wasn't being QUITE as careful how I inserted the stick and removed the cap.  The holder can be finicky I guess, but mostly they have been great for me!

    WAYDTGKU: AF is still around

R/R/CS: Not much. Vowing to be a little more chill this cycle and not convince myself that every weird feeling is a sign of pregnancy.

GTKY: What was your first job? Did you enjoy it? I had a paper route as a kid (back when that was still a thing). I loved it.
  • Month/Cycle: 12/10

R/R/CS: According to FF, I should be entering my FW this weekend. :)

GTKY: What was your first job? Did you enjoy it?  Besides babysitting, my first job was when I was 16. I worked at Walgreens for about a year and a half. I spent most of the time working in the cosmetics section and would occasionally work the front register when we were short staffed. I worked there with a few of my friends from high school and really enjoyed it. I am actually still friends with a few of my former co-workers.  I only ended up quitting half way through my senior year of high school because we got a new manager who I couldn't stand.

After Walgreens, I worked at Bath and Body Works throughout college.

@Schumerator - YES! That gif perfectly describes how I feel. It is absolutely insane. I have not had health insurance since I turned 18. So getting it back at 30 I am like... well hot damn Gina, WTF did I want to be an adult so bad?!
@Saralee797 - Having a plan that you BOTH can totally agree on is amazing. It makes all of this so much easier and wayyyyyy less stressful. And that was such nice words from your NP. Some people are placed in our lives at just the right time to tell us exactly what we need to hear <3

ETA - extra words snuck in there....
