So the dresser for the baby is in a million pieces in the nursery! We also picked up the rocker and glider from Target but that's still downstairs as there is now limited room since the baby's room has about 100 loose wood pieces layed out everywhere. DH is working his PT job the rest of the week after his FT so it looks like disarray wins for now! I was going to attempt to put it together myself but got winded just taking the dresser pieces out of the 108+ pound box...lol If that's not bad enough, the instructions came with TWO manuals both in Spanish....What in the actually #uck!
@Jodi1980 If it makes you feel any better, we've yet to set up anything. ANYTHING. (We just have a tiny one bedroom apartment so there's not much we're setting up anyway. But still.)
My random: do any of you watch Little Women NY? It's a horrible guilty pleasure of mine. I can't decide who I hate the most. Kind of like real life!
ETA: The pregnancy story line has been very amusing and crazy-making. Lawd.
Thanks all my lovelies. It's been great with baby! He is so happy and love to snuggle. We might go home today which I hope for, even though being without a nurse slightly terrifies me. My husband has been so amazing the whole time. I wasn't sure how comfy he would be with diving in so to speak and he's gone above and beyond. Elliott is the best. I can't wait for more bump playmates to start showing up!
@whataboutscience SAME!! It happens every night when I go to bed, lying on my left side (like we're supposed to)...I know my LO is laying oblique, so I worry I'm squishing his head/neck in an uncomfortable position and he's trying to let me know. But lying on right side = instant heartburn. Ugh.
@brandiK I like the Erin Condren planners but they are pricey...the past two years I've bought a planner from Plum Paper Designs on Etsy. I think they are about $30.
I want baby to stay in as long as possible but I am getting so jealous of the ladies who have already had their babies! I just want to hold my little fella and give him so many kisses. I haven't felt this broody in such a long time. 5 weeks 5 days and counting!
Yup--I'm a plum paper planner addict. I also use mine as a planner/memory book, so I like to have lots of writing room and blank pages for lists/goals/etc.
I'm running out of things to Google while bored at work. I've already researched and read about every tiny little symptom and I just feel like it's all recycled information. BABY, GET HERE!!

I've been googling today, too. I was wondering if second babies do come earlier than the first baby and I found this Australian article that basically told me all the good things I wanted to hear so who knows if it's even true. My son was 13 days early so if baby girl is earlier than that..I don't have a lot of time left!
@brandiK I love my Life planner! I've had the erin condren the last couple of years, though this year I opted for a Whitney English day designer. If I could make the 2 procreate the baby would the absolute perfect planner. I will probably stick with the Day designer because of the cover. The life planner has a removable cover and after a few months the little tabs start to warp and get all funky and for a $50 planner I'm just not okay with that. https://whitneyenglish.com/daydesigner/
@randishane011804 I've heard of those too! It seems with all these expensive planners I find something I don't like about it. If I could combine them all it'd be great. Erin Condren has a few now that are non-removable leather covers. I'm not sure how I feel about those though.
@brandiK The whitney english also has free pages you can download and print to add, like a grocery list, meal planning, and other random stuff that I love! You don't have to have to planner to get those either! I haven't seen the new ones for erin condren yet, but I always ask for my planners for christmas that way it doesn't hurt my feelings!
I told my boss yesterday that I'll work the rest of my schedule but after that I'm finished. The only day I'm scheduled for the rest of the week is Sunday.. so I'm basically on leave starting today!
Holyyyy moly!! Idk if ANYONE cares about the Eurocup but Iceland just played, my country and a massive underdog in this tournament, and finished 1-1 against PORTUGAL and I'm so psyched and pumped up and I can't even believe this outcome! If I wasn't dealing with intense pelvic pressure right now I'd be bouncing around like a maniac
Love seeing all the babies! Congrats @WVUPetunia and @theshannondee and anyone else currently laboring/delivering or lucky enough to get baby snuggles!!
Big win for my hubby: on his own accord he just told my MIL that his younger brother and wife should not bring their dog with them when they come visit.
The younger brother and wife are WAY OVERLY attached to their dog, and never leave it at home. We have a dog and cat already, and I'm sure our pets will be stressed out enough over baby. We in no way need to introduce a territorial little yappy dog to the mix.
Kudos to to husband to reply to mom "not a good idea" without even having to check with me.
My dog has been on soooo on edge lately. She's a chihuahua so she's always yappy but the past week it's everything setting her off. If I put something in the sink wrong and it makes a noise she's yapping like crazy, last night she woke me up barking because there was a moth in the bedroom. Anyone else animals acting weird?
Re: Weekly Randoms 6/13
H finally brought home our new bed frame and put it together! I finally got a good night sleep!!
