I love you baby but please..

Stop grabbing my nipples with your razor
claws. I know you accidentally popped off the boob before you were ready but it's not my nipple's fault.

  • Ugh! I hate that! my nipples are constantly in pain from that and the chewing.
  • Loading the player...
  • @Kurrant it's awful! She catches me off guard everytime and it kills me!
  • My baby does this too. And she knocks off my nipple shield while she's at it. So I have to put her down, clean the shield, and start all over. THANKS BABY
  • ...go the f*** to sleep. Preferably on a surface that isn't me.
    This.

  • @kbrands7 haha! Mine needs to feel "relaxed" so he always goes while nursing... It's a vicious cycle

I love you, baby: now please gain like a pound so I can stop getting pediatrician-shamed every week.
I could have written this. We are keeping the pediatrician in business with all the weight checks.

I love you baby, but please learn how to go poop without straining forever soon. I promise it doesn't have 30 minutes to pass breast milk poop, and you seem to always want to do it loudly at 3am.
Ooh try the Windi! This was totally our situation over here too, and now when she starts the moaning and grunting, I give her a little tummy massage, stick in the windi, and it all comes shooting out! It's gross but it gets the job done.

Yes please! I hate feeling like I have to convince the pedi that I'm feeding her

I love you baby, but please make peace with the car seat! We can't go anywhere if you're going to ugly cry every time you go in it.
This!  We can't go anywhere without her ugly crying the whole way.

Do you go through a lot of them? I'd be using multiple a day. I feel that could get expensive... I want to try them though because I'm willing to try anything right now

Well as far as I can tell the only rationale for them being disposable is the "ick factor"- people don't want to wash them out. I don't think there's any health/ safety reason for them to be disposable, and I cloth diaper so I have no problem washing poop off of things. So I've been re-using them after a good scrubbing. We use them probably 4-5x/ day.

I love you baby, but your acne makes you look like you have leprosy.
Mine is losing his newborn hair and getting a flaky scalp :/ he looks like a balding old man.
  • Stop peeing all over mommy every diaper change!
  • I guess I just have to thank sweet baby Jesus that my LO loves car rides (falls asleep instantly) and has only peed on me once for diaper changes #humblebrag #knockonwood

I love you baby but please stop choosing witching hour at dinner time, and when daddy gets home from work. Poor guy doesn't see you all day and you scream in his face when he does.
  • I love you baby but if you could stop scratching my face when you're upset that would be great. I don't wanna have to put sad baby gloves on you.
  • Seems like we all have little wolverine babies scratching the crap out of us and themselves!

I love you baby, but please start eating more during feeding time.  You're 17 days old and I need you to get back to your birth weight. :(

(Although thank you for moving on from epic once a day poops and spreading it out between different changes.  That definitely makes for less laundry after you poop all over the changing table repeatedly in the middle of changes.)

  • I seriously love this thread! Yes to all the above (although thankfully LO is gaining weight now, after I switched from nursing to pumping per dr's orders).

I love you baby, but please take naps during the day in your crib. You sleep there just fine at night. Mommy would enjoy getting to nap as well, or at least get a break from holding you 14 + hours per day!
  • I love you baby but daddy going out of town is not a good time to go back to poor sleeping.
  • Cluster feeding hourly........

@LadySamLady my LO is notorious for this and she does it when I'm trying to get her to latch, which sucks because it hurts but also because she can't latch if her hands are in front of her mouth!!

@AliciaD39 this! Her pediatrician told me it's normal for breastfed babies to do this, not because they are trying to push it out but because they are trying to hold it in to regulate their systems. She said since their poop is more runny than formula fed babies they try to regulate by holding in the poop... I can't stand it

ETA: please baby, stop sleeping with your eyes open! It creeps me out. I can always tell because her eyes move a lot faster and roll back. I'm hoping she grows out of it!
  • @Maybaby0519 DS still does this....but you stop watching them sleep so much somewhere along the way so you won't be as creeped out forever ;)

  • @Maybaby0519 we co sleep and DS goes to sleep on my arm. Before he falls into deep sleep, he moves around like he's possessed (or refluxing but whatevs) and rolls his eyes back. He does this multiple times. It's super creepy.
