I posted in the old thread Kingdom Hearts 3 is apparently coming out this December. For those of
you who don't know what that is, it's the most awaited video game in a
series of games and has been teased for years. Well, DH loves the series
and just found out. I reminded him we're also having a baby in
December. I think I just lost my husband and am really going to need my
mom and MILs help come December...
DH has corrected me and it's Kingdom Hearts 2.8. 3 comes out in 2017 apparently. 2.8 will contain games he has never played before. So yeah, back to the same dilemma as before...

As much as I want our softball team to do well, I'm kinda hoping we go 2 and out of the tournament just so I can be done with 1 team.
My other team won last night so we play into at least the middle of next week.
Both championship games are scheduled at the same time. That is also stressing me out in case I get there with both teams....I'd have to choose between my work team and my downtown team.
I just want my evenings back...for you know, sleeping!
I LOVE eBay!!! I just bought an 80gb classic Ipod for $25, with free shipping. Should be at my house by Wednesday of next week, and my Zootopia pre-order Combo pack should be here by this Friday.

DH got admitted to the hospital today for some possible cardiac issues. As if it wasn't stressful enough spending my day at the ER/hospital once he got admitted and running like crazy to pick DD up from camp, my in-laws decided they needed to be here, and that they'd stay with me and DD. I had to come home tonight and deep clean, dust, and vacuum the guest bedroom. I'm pooped. They think that since they are retired EMT's, they will be able to find out more answers than I would.
@Mamax2 I hope your husband is feeling better and that your in-laws are being helpful. Sending prayers your way!
We we are moving half way across the country next week and the moving company will be here tomorrow. Between juggling closing out things at work (I've been training my replacement and interviewing for other open positions), a toddler, and this crappy nonstop all day nausea and exhaustion I'm just not ready at all. DH is amazing and has been busting his butt picking up my slack but even so I've never felt less prepared for a move. I just want to curl up in bed with ice water (lame but it stays down) and a good book and pretend all this isn't happening so fast. This is me every time something on our moving checklist comes up that I'm behind on...
Let me go ahead and add shame to the list of other emotions on this emotional rollercoaster geez
Thanks ladies. The in-laws have actually been really helpful. They took DD for me this morning, so I could be here at the hospital first thing. @DiFazette we're not 100% certain what is was/is yet. We do know that it was not a heart attack, as all 4 cardiac enzymes blood draws came back fine. He was throwing off premature atrial contractions and then would switch and throw off premature ventricular contractions. Those have stopped though. He had a rough night last night. They came and got him about 45 mins ago for a 3 hour nuclear stress test.
@Mamax2 I'm so sorry about your DH! I hope they figure out what's going on!
@slartybartfast to be honest, sometimes I read your name as slartyfartblast anyways because I'm not paying attention. But I love you despite those blasty farts.
**possible TW** I just got a bill in the mail from the radiologist who completely misdiagnosed me and said I was having a miscarriage. They said they were comping the bill. I have no doubt that I can make them drop the bill, but I'm annoyed this is still harrassing me. And can I just say that I think no one should ever be charged for medical care of a miscarriage anyhow? Well I'm for global healthcare regardless. But it breaks my heart to think of people having a financial reminder on top of so many other reminders they will have of that loss.
We finally told our children!!! How we hid it for 11+ weeks is a miracle. Everyone is super happy and two cried happy tears! And we got it on video.
Yay!!! We finally told DS, too. He was actually happy, which really surprised us because he has said for years that he wants to be in only child. Now he randomly says, "I can't wait for my baby sister to get here." OMG I love it. I can't wait to see him with her.
@Mamax2 I'm so sorry to hear about your DH. I hope everything turns out okay.
@LinziLoo09 that is total B.S.! FX they fix it ASAP.
In hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy, slarty bartfast is the name of the guy they talk to on the planet that made the earth for the mice to answer the question of what is the question to the answer 42... Which makes no sense unless you've read the book (which I highly recommend)
choosing that exact name has nothing to do with me liking the character and everything to do with me liking the sound of the name... Which is mostly because of how much each syllable kind of sounds like fart
Since we are having a homebirth, we have to pay $4,200 OOP and then put in for reimbursement from our insurance. We had $2,500 saved up already, and have been putting a couple hundred per paycheck into it.
Well, the VA sent us a check unexpectedly for not paying DH for 2 years of disability...a total of $2,500! So now we can not only pay for our home birth, but have extra to save towards a college fund and any big purchases we want to make. Going to keep saving, but wow, that made our day!
@slartybartfast you can start it tomorrow if you want. I too get excited about it but I don't have a good GTKY question this time around. I'm just usually on godly early, but have a ton of work to do tomorrow, especially if my computer still isn't working.

DH is home!!! All tests came back normal. They still don't know what caused his episode, so he is wearing a heart monitor, and following up with a cardiologist Monday.
@Mamax2 I'm so glad to hear this wonderful news! Wearing a heart monitor sucks but you get used to it after a while. I'll keep praying everything stays good!

Today has been a nerve-wracking adventure. I let our dogs out in the backyard before lunch, and when I called them in two minutes later, our 13 year old rat terrier wouldn't come. I walked around the corner of the house to find our gate wide open. We live downtown and a block away from a major league sports stadium, which will have a game later today. So traffic was already picking up. And Gonzo wasn't anywhere.
I woke the baby up so I could drive around the block, but he was nowhere to be found. A friend circled the area for 30 minutes looking, but nothing. DD and I ran around outside screaming, giving our phone number to stadium workers in case they saw him - and doing this in the south and noon in June was excruciatingly hot. After 45 minutes or so, I gave up and started crying. I posted pleas on our neighborhood FB page and my personal page. Finally I decided to make one last lap of the backyard to make sure he hadn't passed out in a bush or something. While walking around, I heard an animal scurrying behind our fence, and after peering through slats for a couple of minutes, I finally saw him. He was in one of the neighbors' backyards. So DD and I raced outside and around the block, and we started hiking through untamed jungle trying to find him. Finally got him, and since I had run out the door so fast without a leash, I got to carry him in one arm and DD in the other. I am exhausted, overheated, and my arms feel like they're going to fall off from carrying DD around while running for so long. But I'm SO relieved we have the Gonz back. So happy ending!
@Sharkey, thank you for the vinegar advice! I think they turned out okay but I'll remember this for the future. I forget laundry more often than I care to admit - it's near DD's room and I see it after I lay her down but then I'm afraid of waking her up. Also, I'm lazy. Haha!
@LinziLoo09, I'm so glad Gonzo is home safe and sound! It also sounds like you have your exercise requirement in for the week, so you should just take it easy

I don't think you've ever really pooped until you've done it with a toddler insisting on sitting on your lap during the act. There is no privacy in motherhood.

My 10 mo, and one of my dogs both insisted that they needed half of my lap this afternoon. So many fun bathroom adventures.
Someone should write an 'adult' children's book about 'All the things you'll do' as a parent. Edit: instead of 'All The Places You'll Go'

On a similar note, mine stood in front of me while I was pooping earlier and babbled something about her blocks, then insisted on me kissing her repeatedly. So much love in such a little person and total disregard for mommy's bubble.

DD2 is finally at the point where she recognizes I may want "privacy" in the bathroom so she stands at the door and asks me "how much privacy" do I want and opens the door accordingly. "You want this much privacy mommy?" As she closes the door halfway. Then she stands outside and stares. we're getting there!
