@depineta We had to get on one waitlist when I was 8 weeks and they don't even take babies under 1. They said they were only interviewing pregnant women because they have a 3-year waitlist. Daycares are insane!
I found out that my favorite summertime snack, watermelon, may be causing the heartburn/acid reflux I've seen an increase in lately. WTF?! How am I supposed to make it through summer like this?!

That's crazy! I hope you're able to find a place. We toured ours in April but are just applying today because we lived out of town until last week. I called today and they have one spot open, for only three days a week in March 2017. Luckily we're going to be working from home in the month of March so that should work out just fine but what the hell?
WTF to my hormones and for my MIL for causing me to finally have my pregnancy breakdown. I completely lost it yesterday. The flood gates opened up and it was bad enough that I had to leave work and go home. I guess everything finally caught up to me. My MIL made me feel bad because I didn't her have come to finish the 5 things on my registry and she got all bent out of shape over nothing. So I had DH asking why I wouldn't include her. She knew damn well I did my registry online and only had a few items to add. That just opened everything up and then caused a fight with me and DH, which really upset me, because things have been so great. BUT I guess everyone is entitled to a breakdown and both me and DH finally had it. I guess we've been riding such a high since we got pregnant and all our emotions caught up to us. Luckily we talked everything out yesterday and everything is back to normal. But WTF I haven't had a breakdown like that in a LONG time. Sort of scared me, especially now being pregnant I don't need the added stress.
Oh hugs to you @sportiegrl1213! I experienced this same thing in the first tri, also brought on by my MIL, which led to a fight with my H, that inevitably ended in me having a full fledged, ugly breakdown. It also scared me & was just so stressful & exhausting. But sometimes I think we just have to let it out. Glad y'all were able to get things resolved & things are better now!

I put this on the symptoms thread because it caused a serious emotional/hormonal breakdown but I'm putting it here too because I'm still pissed.
WTF DH?!?!?! I've been majorly stressing about money. We have some credit card debt and its a struggle to get it paid down. With the baby coming and everything there is to do/buy, I've been getting overwhelmed. H got paid today so I was hoping we could go buy a crib or one of the other big ticket items for the nursery since we said we'd try to get those things one at a time as our finances allow. Well, I came home to find H in the garage smoking ribs in a brand new $250 smoker. I was LIVID and lost it. He alread had a smoker but wanted a better one. Now we have two smokers and no crib. Maybe the baby can just sleep in the old smoker...

any tips for a 3.5 hour car ride to just outside of dc in 2 weeks besides stopping to stretch and pee? anything to bring to make it more bearable? ESPECIALLY BC WE ARE CARPOOLING W MY PARENTS
WTF to my relative who posted about how her daughter's purity made her more deserving of men's respect, and that she was so honored that her policeman husband's department all felt that way. WTF to my first episode of pregnancy rage where I HAD to comment that ALL women deserve respect, ESPECIALLY from the police. WTF to the three cops (including her husband) who proceeded to threaten me (including physically) for my "lack of respect" for his daughter and policemen in general. And the worst part? I felt bad and apologized.
Isn't this the scenario movies are made of when the daughter comes home pregnant after the family raved and boosted about how "pure" she was??

I'm trying to get on a wait list for Sept 2017 and I'm being told no - they don't have any openings!! Or they don't do wait lists that long...so ya I'm going to be screwed!!
@Ashleymn Maybe I was more so hoping I read it wrong... I officially hate somebody I've never met now. Has she or her spouse even been tested for infertility? Or is just her go-to?
