What are your favorite books for kids? Either books you remember loving as a child, or books for kids you've since discovered.
I want to keep a wishlist and start collecting some good ones for our little home library. My son will be learning and speaking mostly Dutch outside our home, and my partner is not a native English speaker, so I'll be representing the English language.

We've started reading him bedtime stories already, and I only have 2 books in English so far. Need more.
Some of my favorites as a kid:
The Rough-Faced Girl
Tikki Tikki Tembo
Danny and the Dinosaur
Little Critter
