Too funny...if we were born today, my name would be Ava and DH's would be Jacob. I like where you went with the dog name comparison @AnnaS930 so I tried it too...my childhood pup, Oscar, would have been named Giovanni today. Which for some reason cracks me up!

@geminigirl16 Wow, your name must be pretty uncommon! Is it fairly unheard of or is it uncommon due to a variation in spelling or something? I'm fascinated by names, especially uncommon ones. As a Jennifer myself, I always wanted something less popular for my children...and then I fell in love with the name Evelyn (for DD) the same time everyone else did. Oh well...

@JennM205 My name is actually quite uncommon but there are some other similar names out there. I have never met another person with my name and I need to spell it on a regular basis but people tend to like it once they hear it.

I'd like to keep this non-searchable so I'll give you it in code

Take the name Louise and replace the u with an r instead but pronunciation wise it sounds like Maurice with an L.

Trust me, there was a lot of confusion on my name when Beauty and the Beast came out!

I'd be Claire, DH would be John, Doggie would be Isaac, and my parents would be Liam and Alexa. My parents variations are the weirdest to me as they are traditional and their normal names reflect this. They're 2015 names seem way to outgoing/new age to me to fit them, lol
