So, for a long while I was sure, if this baby was a girl, her name would be Darcy.
But I started second guessing it alot because I fear I doesn't fit well with my sib set and it lacks a NN, other than Darc...
So I think I've decided on Eleanor, NN Ellie, JoAnn
Open to other names with the NN Ellie.
Also, for a boy name I'm having a hard time choosing a middle name. Forest Wayne or Forest Henry...
My children are Cecelia Michelle and Emerson Ryan.
I am adamant that this baby needs to have a name before next Wednesday for the gender reveal as our previous 2 had. But it's proving to harder than I thought.
Darcy is way better than anything Ellie. Nameberry has an entire list dedicated go getting Ellie it's just so overdone. Plus I would personally not do an E name with already having one.
I like Forest, I find it a bit different than your current Childrens names and think Henry Forest fits better but of the combos Forest Henry
You might want to check the SS website for stats on your state, but nationally Ellie was 47 last year, Ella was 18 (and has been top 20 since 2008), Eleanor was 60 - that's only 3 Ellie names and that's a lot of Ellie's/Ella's if you combine them all. The Ellie question comes up on here all the time so if you do a search you will find lists of names people have proposed to get NN Ellie in the past.
I notice you have Joann in the original post. Is that the middle name or a first name option? I'm so in love with Joanna- nicknames JoJo, Joey. You don't need a nickname but you could call Darcy D or DeeDee. Or what about something like Marla- I feel like that's similar to Darcy.

I also like Eleanor because she could go by Lenny, or Nora, or Leanora as well.
I've never met a child or infant Ellie, I'm surprised to hear it's so popular.
But I heard Emerson was trendy too, but I've yet to meet another Emerson at all.

I am naf of Henry as a first name.
It's my FIL's middle name, which is why we it's an option.

I'm also not a fan of all the Ellie names lately.

I think I'm leaning towards the name Lenora JoAnn. And NN Lennie.
My husband seems to prefer Lenora over Eleanor.
