Okay you guys... I have hardly had MS at all, just nausea without all the throwing up. I threw up once at 7 weeks and once at 11 weeks. I am 12 weeks now and have just had another bout of throwing up. I've noticed that when I do throw up, it's from having nausea all day long and then I throw up at night. It seems like it's getting so much worse now.
I saw my OB at 11 weeks and she asked me if I needed anti nausea meds, and I hadn't had my 11 week episode until later that night. So with only one incident of actually throwing up, I said, "No, I don't need the meds." Should I call her back and tell her that it's been getting worse and I want the meds now? I was hoping that my MS would be tapering off since this is the end of first tri really, but it's only getting worse and I can't handle it because it is just me being sick all night long and I feel bad for FI having to take care of me afterwards
@ashleaf2018you can pick up doxylamine (unisom) and pyridoxine (vitamin b6) in the meantime. I've been taking 12.5 mg (1/2 unisom tablet) and 25 mg pyridoxine three times a day since week 6. it's a lot cheaper than the diclegis and since your ms seems mild it will probably help you a lot.
i'm cautiously optimistic about my ms today! I don't know if it's because I slept for 10 hours, or if ms is finally tapering off, but I skipped my morning meds and feel pretty good! of course, this was after throwing up 3-4 times last evening, so i'm not counting my chickens yet. but it gives me hope
@slartybartfast I'm in the HG boat as well, so I'd be happy to join a check in thread. Sorry to everyone who has it. This shit is a nightmare. Hopefully we'll all be feeling better soon!
@ashleaf2018 The unisome/b6 combo was the first thing they recommended when I started getting sick, so they might start you on that for a few days or jump you to one of the prescriptions. I say don't be afraid to ask for it and you can ask the doc if you have any concerns about the different meds. But no sense feeling so bad of you can get help. I hope things get better soon for you!
@ashleaf2018 I agree, call and ask your doctor for meds. At my first appointment the doctor didn't want to put me on anything. Two days later I called them asking for a scrip because I couldn't take my prenatal vitamin, I would just throw it back up. I called them again a few weeks ago because the he first scrip stopped helping my nausea, so he gave me something stronger. It's about how you feel and if the nausea is affecting your day to day activites, get something to help it.

It's mostly affecting our sleep. I was up all night and still had to be up early so we can go to the lake with family. I'm going to get some unisom and that other med you all recommended to get me through the weekend and if I end up needing something stronger, I'll call my OB. I see her again in like 3 weeks so hopefully I can make the unisom work until then, at least.
