3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: You guys, I need all the positive, happy AS vibes you can send my way. I'm a ball of nerves over here. I've spent the past few days going back and forth between excitement to see the baby and hopefully find out the sex to being convinced something is wrong. I think I've felt movement a few times but I was told I have an AP so I'm not sure if it was movement I felt or not. I'm almost hoping it wasn't because I haven't felt it in a while which makes me nervous.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? I used to wait tables and bar tend all through college and grad school so I was a serious night owl. 3:30 am was my typical bedtime and you woulnd't see me before 11 am at the earliest. Now, I'm in bed by 11 at the latest and "sleeping in" is 7:30 am.
Me: 32 & DH: 37
Married: November 2014
TTC #1 Since: October 2015
BFP #1: 11/18/15 - CP BFP #2: 2/8/16 - EDD 10/20/16 IT'S A BOY!!!! DS Born 10/16/16
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Reaching the halfway mark, and also my anatomy scan on 6/17!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm still experiencing RLP, but luckily not as bad as last week (or I'm just getting used to it). Also, still experiencing pretty major exhaustion. I really wish it would ease up already so I could get off my butt and exercise...ugh. I gained 4 lbs this past month, and my doctor asked me to try to keep the gain to only 2 lbs this next month (I was overweight starting out). So I really need to do my best to keep the gain to 2 lbs this month. I'd also love to start getting the nursery together.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Definitely a night owl before pregnancy. Now it's a miracle to be up past 10pm. Haha.
Question: Is anyone else here hoping to do an all natural birth? My husband and I just signed up for The Bradley Method 12 week course. The course was highly recommended by a coworker, and it looks fantastic from what I read on the internet. I think being PGAL made me really double think taking any drugs at all. Now I am super determined to do all natural, as long as everything is going well for me and the baby.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Still not feeling anything..... I am really looking forward to when that starts! And AS 7 June.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: It's just becoming more and more real these days!
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? This pregnancy has made me a night owl to some degree. I usually cant fall asleep til 11 or midnight and then getting myself out of bed before 8 is a huge task.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy scan on Wednesday! Also looking forward to DH being able to really feel movement. He's felt a few flutters and I'm excited for him to feel a good strong kick.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I made it through a weekend of shooting a wedding AND a college commencement and I am so thankful that I held up as well as I did. Being PGAL, I sometimes worry I'm pushing myself too hard and I go down that rabbit hole of convincing myself something is wrong. On the rant aide, I do think you days of sleeping comfortably are almost over
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Definitely a night owl. Not so much lately, but I am just NOT a morning person. DH works from 12-10, so if I want to hang out with him I have to stay up late anyway.
@Pupatella I'm exploring the possibility of an unmedicated birth. It's something I've been interested in for a long time, and I'm a huge Ina May fan. I'd love to hear what you think of the classes. We don't have a ton of options in our area, unfortunately, so I'm doing my best to prepare on my own.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I really want my husband to be able to feel the movements.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We're moving this weekend and I'm ranty about getting the move part over with but I'm so excited to decorate and plan for the nursery.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Early bird - I was proud of myself for sleeping in this weekend when I woke up at 7:45 am.
1. How far along are you? 18w1d 2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Feeling movement finally and my husband finally felt flutters yesterday. I can't wait for the kicks to get a little stronger so my boys can finally feel baby. 3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Just anxiously awaiting my anatomy scan 4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? early bird. Used to be a night owl but I get up early for work and have kids so things have changed.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Feeling this little one move! If only for the reassurance that everything is fine and to relieve my downward spiral into the bad thoughts...
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: *knocks on wood* My vertigo/dizziness has vanished!! Feeling the best I have since week 8! I mean, there's still the back aching, and all the extra phlegm, and the 3 overnight pee-breaks, but I'll take all that if I'm not constantly feeling like I'm walking on a boat.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? I used to work in television news, and for years produced the morning newscast, which meant a start time of anywhere from midnight to 3 a.m. and a bed time of about 5/6pm. SO glad those days are over and I have a normal 9-5, but the damage was done - I'm an early bird for life. Doesn't help that my husband is an even earlier bird... Crossing our fingers this kid is an early riser!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy Scan on 6/1.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: For the most part, morning sickness and all day nausea is gone. I could, however, sleep all day and all night. I just want to sleep and nap right now. Oh, and the pain in my pubic area. My pubic bone and ligament pains are constant. Rolling over, standing from sitting or laying down are so painful.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? In bed by 10PM and up around 5:30 AM for work. On the weekends I basically am in bed by 10, sleeping til 8AM, and then hoping for a nap almost immediately.
Next milestone you're looking forward too? The third trimester I reckon.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Uuuum... Live Long and Prosper (positive vibes, ya'll).
GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? While pregnant- HA! Neither. While not pregnant- Both, sleep is eventually weened as a necessity and I assume the role of Super Human Mother Machine.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My boys being able to feel the baby's kicks. I already feel them several times a day.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I've been having a tough time being excited about this pregnancy. Maybe I'm just completely exhausted from running around after two energetic boys all day?
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? If I could I would be a night owl! My two guys get up at 6 regardless of when I go to sleep. I do manage to slip in at least one late girls night out and a late night book club every month though!
@PupatellaI did one birth with an epidural (my first), and a completely unmedicated one with my second. You definitely need to be prepared.
I did a Bradley course and it was great at preparing both me and my husband, and inform my husband of what I was going to be going through and how best to support me.
Good for you for trying to do unmedicated! It was very very tough but it was such an amazing experience!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy ultrasound on Friday!! Although I'm really considering not finding out whether we're having a boy or girl this time around.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Starting to feel little movements, this was my favorite part in pregnancy #1, I can't wait for a few more weeks where they're even more noticeable.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Early bird, I don't think I've seen the clock past 9:30 p.m. for quite some time.
Hi mamas. I've been a lurker for a while because we have been cautiously optimistic with this pregnancy. It still makes me a little anxious to post this, but thought I need to just introduce myself because I feel like I know a bunch of you already through your posts and want to provide my support to you all!
****TW****
I've had 2 miscarriages and D&Cs in the past: first was a blighted ovum, and with the second I had spotting at 9 wks and urgent US showed no more heartbeat. All workup had been negative. Also had failed attempts trying letrozole with trigger and timed intercourse, then letrozole with trigger and IUI. I even tried acupuncture once a week for a whole year and took herbs that she recommended. I was tired so we took a break from trying and got a puppy. Then a month later we found out we were pregnant. It's a baby boy and due Oct 19! At my 8 wk check-up I was very anxious because at this point last time, we heard the HB and everything had been fine. I asked my OB to recheck a progesterone level just to see (I had a suspicion I had a luteal phase defect), even though it was normal at 4 weeks. He said it probably will be normal because the HB was fast and strong, but ordered it anyway to appease me. To our surprise, it came back low! He started me on Crinone gel until I was 14 weeks.
1. How far along are you? 18w5d
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? 1) Anatomy scan this Friday. 2) Feeling baby boy move. I've felt different sensations, but don't know for sure if it was baby. I was told early on by an US tech that I have an anterior placenta. 3) Sounds weird, but can't wait til I pop. Right now my bump looks like I've eaten too much pizza.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I have to pee every 1-2hrs. But at least my kidneys are working well!
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Night owl for sure. I wish I was a morning person!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Feeling the baby move
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Just found out our baby is a boy and was so nice to watch him on the ultrasound, hoping this ultrasound high last a little while.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Early bird for sure, can barely stay up past 9 PM
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? anatomy scan this Friday! also feeling the baby move more clearly and regularly, and (which will probably take a while because of all my abdominal fat) eventually for my husband to be able to feel the baby, too!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I can feel my uterus through my fat now - it's definitely bigger. Also I've felt some stuff that is pretty certainly the baby, although not consistently. On the other hand, I am outgrowing all my underwear! I'm trying to get used to wearing them below the bulge since I usually wear them grandma-style up to just under my belly button.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? I'm definitely a night owl, although I think that is at least partly due to the fact that after I decide I'm not getting anything more productive done in a day, then I get do do more relaxing stuff, and then I don't want to quit because I'm finally getting to do what I want.
1. How far along are you? I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow! Woo!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Tomorrow lol I've got my Level 2 Anatomy Scan. Every finger is crossed for a healthy baby.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm nervous about tomorrow--super excited but also a bundle of nerves, especially because of my bleeding scare last week. I'm just hoping that it's good news all around--things are so different after a loss.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Early bird! I love the dawn, the sunrise, the moments before sunrise and being outside during it. Anywhere between 4:30 am- 6:00 am wake up and I'm happy. Otherwise I feel like I've wasted the day.

@MRSCORKER Great vibes for tomorrow!! I'm in the same exact boat and am total nerves over here. FX for a healthy baby! And I can't to find out what you're having!
Welcome @mrsdj19 !! Totally understand the PGAL brain, as does everyone else here. This has been such a supportive group for me, and it's so comforting to have people to vent to who truly understand. I hope you have a wonderful anatomy scan this Friday!!
@Pupatella I'm considering an unmedicated birth this time around because the epidural--while it helped tremendously with the contractions--gave me bad side effects for a good 2 weeks postpartum. They also had me on pitocin so the mix of drugs just wasn't good for me and left me foggy for a few days. TMI--it also left me SUPER constipated. Like, that shit was a nightmare. But everyone's bodies react differently! I know a ton of women who were okay with the drugs. I just really want to avoid that this time around if I can help it.
@Pupatella@Michi1382 I've heard several women complain about constipation post-epidural plus back problems later down the road. I feel like I'll want the drugs in the moment, but I already have digestive and back problems and I really don't want to add to them. Who knows what I'll decide in the end. I don't think my pain tolerance is high enough to go unmedicated though.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? Anatomy scan on Friday! I'm so happy to get this far and yet want to puke from nerves of all the possible what-ifs.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Work is killing me. I'm gonna take a work from home wellness day tomorrow.
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Yes. Ha! I'm an insomniac so I'm good to go whenever. But I do my best work early in the morning before others are up and at work to bug me.
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My AS scan / fundal measurements.
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: No rants or raves today, but I will send positive vibes out for everyone to have healthy happy babies
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? I am a night owl. I hate hate hate mornings with a passion; however, i have been working on trying to change that. I've been trying to wake up earlier because lets be honest, kids are not night owls.
SO and I have been together: 5 Years+ BFP: 03/10 First Baby: 10/20/2016
Hi all, I guess I'd better introduce myself too! I've also been a lurker for a while. I love seeing you all progress and making happy pregnancy memories after your losses I lost several babies early into my pregnancies. Then I started really researching into my fertility and body. Totally ingnored the DR's recommendation to do clomid, drank TONS of raspberry leaf/pregnancy tea, charted like a mad woman, and eventually called my Dr office at 10 DPO telling them I was pg again and would they please check progesterone? Everything tested out fine but he stuck me on a low dose oral progesterone and here we are at almost 19 weeks with our miracle baby!
So, how far along? 18-6
Next milestone? Getting half way and knowing that I'm for sure feeling baby move.
Rant/rave/ etc. I'm am horribly annoyed at my DH grandma who thinks its her business to make sure I don't do anything slightly exerting, possibly dangerous or mildly classified as problematic for prego ladies. On the plus side, I am loving my little bump! And DH is more and more confident about a natural labor and delivery. Yay!!
Gtky, hmmm depends on the day? I'd say night owl except that I get so tired some days its early to bed and waaaay late to rise:)
mrsdj19 and @cate2273 ! Thanks for joining us. We hope you find this community supportive and engaging as we all move forward with our little rainbows.
@mrsdj19 and @cate2273 Welcome, guys! I'm glad you came out of the shadows! I echo what @kmolleltz said. This is a very supportive group and this thread is quite theraputic and helpful for me, even if I'm just reading! I'm looking forward to seeing you on the board. May we all have healthy and amazing rainbow babies!
2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? My anatomy scan on June 6th; even though we know its a boy I cant wait to check in on him and make sure everything is okay and progressing well! 3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Feeling more movements, especially at night when im getting comfy and laying down which is very exciting! Feeling good overall, just thinking positive thoughts for everyone! 4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Before pregnancy definitely a night owl, mornings are not my friend!
@Pupatella , @kmolleltz , @Michi1382 - thanks so much for the warm welcome! I think about y'all often and pray that we all have healthy rainbow babies come October!
And welcome @cate2273 !! My mom is also being overly protective of me, i.e. doesn't want me to fly, but after everything we've been through I know she's coming from a loving place.
I posted on the AS thread but just wanted to update here. ITS A BOY! Other than enlarged kidneys which the doc wasn't worried about, he's perfect and was being a little acrobat in there We're so in love!
ETA: thank you so much for the thoughts and support. This board and particularly, this thread, is amazing!

2. Next milestone you're looking forward to? I have decided that the little spasms I've been feeling are baby moving, which I love, and I'm excited for my husband to be able to feel them! Also just excited for the next US at the end of June. I feel like there were so many in the beginning and now so few. Makes me anxious!
3. Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Officially further along than I've ever been! I'm in exciting uncharted territory!
4. GTKY: Are you an early bird or a night owl? Neither lol. Give me all of the sleep. I guess I'd have to say night owl? My husband works until at least 9:30, so I like to stay up until he gets home and then try to spend SOME time with him. But I'm still usually in bed by 11:30, then I don't have to get up for work until 9:15. I'll enjoy the sleep while I can!
Did everyone here talk to a doctor at their AS? I have to wait either for my doctor to call or until my appt (which is Thursday morning, so not a long wait). But that sucks because I don't actually know how my boy is doing. They just told us that he's a boy and nothing about his development.

My docs office schedules an appt directly after each scan so they can go over the results. The tech can't really say anything. That would be so frustrating though, sorry you have to wait! Can you call and get results just to ease your mind?

I saw this on FB today and it really resonated with me. Definitely had to share! https://www.facebook.com/majesky/posts/10154178495389210
@MRSCORKER Great vibes for tomorrow!! I'm in the same exact boat and am total nerves over here. FX for a healthy baby! And I can't to find out what you're having!

I lost several babies early into my pregnancies.
And welcome @cate2273 !! My mom is also being overly protective of me, i.e. doesn't want me to fly, but after everything we've been through I know she's coming from a loving place.
ETA: thank you so much for the thoughts and support. This board and particularly, this thread, is amazing!

1. How far along are you? 21+1
