We started cleaning out our garage. It's been 2 days and we're making progress. Half of the garage is my husband's tools/workbench/cycling gear. The other half is my mother's Costco bulk items that she has to buy 8 of everything even though we already have 2 and her baking stuff (I'm talking 5 metro racks of stuff!!!). I told them I want the shit organized, labeled and off the damn floor! At some point the goal is to be able to actually park a car in the garage. Lol.
Today, I made us completely clean out the garage, vacume and detail both cars then wash them in 90+ degree weather so that we could put in the carrier bases in a clean vehicle.
I took Friday off to do laundry and clean and get ready. My mom decided to come over (fine) and then decided to not drop off my son at daycare because she would be there and could watch him! I love my mom, I love my son, guess how much I got done Friday with them both there just hanging out? I worked (at my job) all day Saturday then stopped to pick up some of the stuff we still needed and didn't find in our storage or didn't get from my shower. I was exhausted yesterday and planned to do nothing. At 2:00 I decided maybe I'd do a few things and then I LOST MY MIND. We needed to get a bouncer down and since it was in the storage closet we ended up reorganizing the whole closet. I washed and put away all the baby stuff, took apart the car seat and bouncer and washed the covers, unpacked and got all the bottles in the dishwasher, sterilized the pump parts, cleaned the refrigerator and wrote thank you notes. I hate when I can't get things ready and I was really frustrated by not getting to do a couple big things we'd planned to accomplish this weekend so I don't know if it was just because of that or because I'm going into serious nesting mode. I'm not 35 weeks until tomorrow so I am really hoping it was just wanting to get stuff done after having my plans postponed for so long. Either way, everything will be completely ready by the end of this coming weekend and I'll be a much more relaxed pregnant lady. Still feeling pretty crazy though so I'm at work hoping to channel that into finishing up stuff here.
