  • @tgortney omg same here! He had my left leg and the nurse had my right lol! He stuck with me through the whole ordeal- which I ended up too having an emergency cs. He was in the room for that as well and was crying because he thought LO and myself were going to die on that table, just awful!
@yogahh ha ha! That's great! Labor and delivery amnesia if I've ever heard it! Lol!

I think it's because the next one will most likely be a rcs so i can anticipate what to expect. But if I had to labor again with those contractions, not sure I would be so willing!

  • @yogahh ha ha that's a good point- I mean the cs was nowhere near pleasurable and neither is the recovery, but it seriously pales in comparison to the whole labor process for sure!

Sounds like we had a very similar experience! Our poor husbands. My husband did say he never wants to see me in that much pain again so he's adamantly pushing for a scheduled RCS for next time. I don't think I want to attempt a VBAC either. Back labor was enough for me once.
  • @tgortney for sure! My husband said the same thing! I could only imagine how it felt for him to watch all of that and not be able to help. I so don't blame your husband for pushing for an RCS, I think if we were to do it again, my husband would do the same.
@sillyfox awe lol I mean I guess being that we survived- barely lol- we take it on again
  • It's funny, I was telling the nurses to save the laughing gas for me next time I have a baby while still in labor (apparently they only have two tanks). That's the power of laughing gas! After the pushing stage, I was starting to wonder how people manage to do that more than once. I'm definitely willing to have more children at this point, but when I told DH the other day "Thanks for giving me a baby!" he said "We can put another one in you right now!" I told him he needed to calm down!!!!! Crazy man. I was barely 2 weeks PP at that point :expressionless:

  • Well ladies I was fortunately  and unfortunately a unicorn. Woke up Fri with a little bit of a lower backache and had some minor cramping here and there some regular, some irregular. Told my DH that we should get some Pina colada mix, go to target,  etc. As I was sitting on the couch drinking my virgin Pina colada, I felt a gush of fluid come out of me, run to the bathroom and it's blood at around 9pm.Call my doc, go to the hospital, still not in any pain and I'm 4cm, this was 10 pm. Get admitted, they ask  I want  epidural and I'm like ok sure. Get one, they check me, I'm now 8-9cm but my water never broke so they break it, this is around midnight. Then all of a sudden I can feel the contractions only in my right thigh. Turn on that side to get the epidural going on that side but they can't find her heartbeat . Turn to the other side, get the heartbeat, but now I'm in mild pain still only in my thigh. Try turning over again, can't find the heartbeat, turn back over, no heartbeat there either, lay on my back, they find it very low so they think the baby's low. Turns out I'm now a 10 and going to push at 125 am. Even when I'm pushing the only pain I'm getting is in my thigh so I get her out in 30 mins. Well, apparently I am bleeding heavily after labor and they can't find the source of it. I get wheeled into the OR with five doctors so they can find it and stitch it up and then have to a blood transfusion. Baby is fine, I'm fine, but my husband thought he was going to lose me. So even though I didn't have a painful labor like most, I did have a scary experience but I'm glad everyone can say that we made it through it
  • @janeen1689 I'm glad that you and baby are okay! Labor and delivery is so unpredictable so I'm glad you didn't have too much pain on top of everything else you experienced. Take it easy!
