Intro - just turned 40 (Warning, TTC after loss)

I have lurked for quite a while and am ready to introduce! I just turned 40 last week and my husband is 43. We are TTC after suffering a MC last November while he was hospitalized for emergency diverticulitis surgery. At that time, we were on our 2nd round of Clomid. I am now on my 5th round and in my TWW. We will celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary next month (slow clap for us)!  We live on the Gulf Coast in Alabama and began TTC after we both converted to Catholicism. It's refreshing to read through your journies and I so appreciate everyone's honesty.

    Hello and welcome.  So sorry to hear about your loss.  I'm 40 as well, so we have that much in common.  I wish you the best in your TTC.  Congrats on your anniversary a little early!  I'm only a year and a half into my marriage so 19 years is way impressive!!!!

    Welcome! I'm fairly new here too. This is a super supportive community, and these ladies seem to have the answers to just about every question. Here's hoping your stay on the TTC boards is short!

    Dx: low progesterone, possible DOR - officially "unexplained"

    TTC#1 since November 2015
    9/16/2016 IUI#1 - BFN
    10/12/2016 IUI#2 - BFN
    1/21/2017 Clomid/IUI#3 - BFN
    March 2017 IVF: BFP! (beta#1 191, beta#2 378!) - it's a boy! DS born 12/6/2017

    TTC #2 since July 2018
    May 2019 IVF #2: BFP! (beta#1 346, beta#2 646) - vanishing twin at 8 weeks. Baby B still going strong - due 2/8/20!

    I'm 42 34weeks pregnant.  I have fibroids and was able to conceive naturally.  What I did different was pray . Good luck

    Welcome and Happy Anniversary! Can I ask a question of a fellow gulf coaster? I live in New Orleans and am waiting on the all clear from my cardiologist to TTC after a heart procedure but if we are given the all clear soon, I was thinking of putting it off due to Zika. What is your OB saying to you about this since you live in a high risk area?

    @ttarnold23 My apologies, I was in the middle of replying to you yesterday and suddenly my boss got fired.  :o I am in Mobile so we are definitely hyper aware of Zika. Since I have had such an issue with TTC, we haven't out anything off BUT when/if I get my BFP, we are hiring a mosquito service and I will probably sit my hiney inside until it gets "cold." I'm curious to know what your OB in NoLA decides - please keep me updated!

    Aw, Mobile has a special place in my heart, I graduated from Spring Hill College! I hear you about not wanting to put it off, I'll probably be 36 if/when bfp happens and that biological clock is ticking! I haven't talked to my OB about Zika yet, the idea of getting pregnant during a high zika zone plus advanced maternal age and with my history of heart issues, I think I'll be a wreck! I'm hoping it won't be as bad down here as they're predicting. Good luck to you!
