My FFFC is that I'm trying to think up of a funny FFFC and I've got nothing. I'm all out of sass, wit or sarcasm and I've just descended straight into cranky. It's not even 9am, I have a shitload to be grateful for and yet I'm one cranky-ass bitch this morning. I think i'll just put in my headphones and not interact with many people because they don't deserve my assholishness. Yes, that's a word.

My FFFC is I just got my bfp wed. So I've given myself till the end of this week to get everything I want out of my system (in moderation of course). I'm eating junk till the end of this week then I'll go healthy.
This week I've had moe's burritos, pepperoni pizza, smoked sausage & blackbean chili, and tons of lucky charms. Nothing overly dangerous.
Next week I will buy healthy food and be good.

@kellybean1988 I did the same thing this morning....they're wrinkly and I found the post-its I lost in the back pocket ugh
@josie3=5 I second the office loathing, not sure how long I'll work...reception is not the place for me right now.

I'm the only person in the office in my department on Mondays, so no one sees me. I'm wearing the same (unwashed) outfit again today. Because picking out a new outfit seemed like too much work.

Gawd you ladies make me feel so much better about my life choices!

I too, @sLass42 , am also eating nothing but junk this week. We had a huge office celebration dinner last night at a fancy steakhouse (we only do this once a year and our VP pays for ALL booze, food, etc) and I ate way too much. Tonight is a big dinner out with friends at our local BBQ place. Going to go healthy[ish] next week--we can do this!!! Here's a pic of my dinner from last night: (that is NOT a cocktail, I promise! I made the bartender sneakily make me a shirley temple in a cocktail glass so people would think I was drinking since I am so newly KU!! IT WORKED!! )

I'm slightly envious of my husband right now. He is living in another country for his job (a decision we made as a family). I'll be moving there next month. However, it's tough working full-time, raising a 2 year old, and being pregnant. I've been doing things I said I would never do (ex: allowing my son to sleep in my bed) because it's more convenient for me. I'm too exhausted at the end of the day.
Also, I took my son out to eat last night, and the woman sitting across from me was enjoying a nice cold beer. I couldn't help but stare because it looked so gooooood!

@nan814 That is exactly what I was going to say!! I just got my BFP due 1/26/17 but I had been lurking before my BFP and this BMB is so boring!! It's not that I want or need drama but that the board has been SO organized and new posts mostly happen once a week on Mondays.

Also, I'm with you guys on the lack of excitement around here. My FFFC is that if I'm bored, I'll go to the Admin page and back track though posts they've closed, because I obviously have a problem and consider that entertaining.

Also @susykat77 in the rules section of this post, there are suggestions for daily thread posts. Here are some examples, maybe we can get some of these going since a lot of our threads are weekly check-ins now right now:

-Monday BF (Bitchfest)
-TW (Twatwaffle) Tuesday!
-AW (Attention Wanted) Wednesday and/or WTF (What The F**k) Wednesday
-UO (Unpopular Opinion) Thursday and/or Thankful Thursday
-FFFC (Flame Free Friday) Confessions (this one obv already exists
***HDBD (hump day bump day) will be added Wednesday's once they're necessary!

I don't know that anyone has volunteered to post any of these each week or not and I only just got my BFP this past Tuesday, so maybe they are already being posted...obv FFFC is happening! I like the idea of "ten things" Thursday, which is to basically post 10 things that are awesome in your life at that time. I am totally down to start that thread each Thursday!

I seriously appreciate the organization. Although I will admit I am looking forward to drive-by dramas, potential catfish, and god knows what else in the coming months. Can't wait for the first "I'm already showing @ 7 weeks with my first" post too. *pre-emptive popcorn popping*

I love all the daily threads! There's just only a few peeps joining in on the randoms and that's where I really get to form friendships!

@Emerald24 where do I even begin?? First we found out that the person "running" the boards as BumpJackie was really BumpMay and that BumpJackie had quietly resigned and the TB gods decided it was in their best interest to not tell the mods that they were no longer working with Jackie but let them think they were. So ok, we got over it. Then there was a big fuss over the negative reviews in the app store and everyone complaining that the boards were too snarky (really, people just can't handle being told solid truths without sugar coating). So based on these reviews TB gods went and banned a loved member with no warning (although, personally, I think she should have been banned and long before). After that everyone started to riot. I don't even know what happened, people were posting porn gifs and everything. All of the mods were dethroned with no communication at all from TB gods, and they announced that they were going to replace all of the mods with paid mods....A big old fuck you to all of the former mods who had been trying to clean up the damage that TB gods created, FOR FREE, until they were suddenly stripped of their mod powers without warning. They started banning people left and right just for speaking out about the banning of the original person, people who had never even so much as received a warning on a 3 strike system were banned without warning. It was a clusterfuck, a new board was created (and has become extremely successful) and a bunch of folks ran to FB and created FB groups.

I think I got it all. Oh. And we were previously told that telling someone to fuck off was acceptable, and were then told it was not acceptable and people were banned for that, too. The new paid mods deleted threads at random if they didn't like what they said, deleted comments from threads, and basically censored everything that was posted.

My FFFC is that I am so fucking irritated at how FB has become so ubiquitous. I quit FB in December and ever since then, I have been noticing the way some pieces of information just... aren't available if you aren't on FB. For example, the baby wearing group that is local to me only exists on FB. If I want to find out where they meet, I have to go on their FB page, and when I click on the links, FB gives me a "you need to log in to see this information" message, and, you know what, FB, I'm just not doing it.

**Trigger warning** I quit FB after my MC in December. I was not very far along at all, but of course FB knew, because of all my googling. I was getting ads for local mom groups, whathaveyou. As you do, I'd grown accustomed to how creepily invasive it is. But then I miscarried. And obviously I was googling the shit out of that, too, looking up things like "trying again after a MC" "fertility after MC" etc etc etc. And do you know what ad FB showed me, before my MC was even complete? An ad for a surrogacy agency. To which I said:

So I quit and never looked back. Even now that I'm pregnant, that was just an invasion of privacy and an unconscionable level of carelessness I can't put behind me. Especially since this was mere months after Zuckerberg released his public statement about the losses he and his partner had experienced.

So, yeah, my FFFC is that I judge the shit out of businesses/social groups/etc that are ONLY available on FB. And the fact that you HAVE to have FB to use other online services like AirBnB? BS.

@cabu14 I've been keeping my snark in check because I don't want to get banned (again). Haha, but I'm slowly testing the waters to see what get filtered.

#3 I also hate when people only make services or other services available only if you have facebook. I was off facebook for 2 years after I graduated college and LOVED being off. I was forced back on because none of my friends would keep in touch with me without it...oh and the aforementioned reasons...ugh. So yeah, I totally agree with you. There are more platforms than just facebook!!!!!

@poetryandoceans Wow, that really sucks. I can't believe how insensitive that is. I will admit the ads based on internet searches are pretty creepy. Clothing and things like that, I don't mind seeing ads for so much, but reproductive issues (among other things) should be off limits.

I totally agree that the board has been slow and needs more energy. But i'll be honest that I'm wary of snark. People often use snark (I am not pointing to anyone in this thread or on this board - this is based on my experience on previous boards on TB) to mean 'I'm going to be an ass but I'm just going to couch it as I'm being upfront and that you're sensitive because you got upset'. So I guess that's my FFFC that I'm willing to get flamed for - because I was so annoyed by how 'mean girls' people were on my second BMB and entirely exclusive of a new people that I left in disgust after trying to fight the good fight. So I'd ditto for laughter, gifs wars, and some honest, respectful back and forth but I'm really not wanting it to become a 'look at those poor noobs who know nothing - awww, look they're crying, they need to get their big girl panties on'.

Did I mention I was cranky today? But drama for drama's sake? Meh.

@ashanne88 yeah, it's not the invasiveness itself that bothered me, because it's always been a little on the creepy side (though maybe it should bother me? I don't know. It is weird that these internet corporations know so much about me). It was just the fact that I felt like, they can design such targeted algorithms, why can't they build a little compassion in there, too? Like, if that same ad had came up 4 months after my miscarriage, it would have bothered me a little, but it was just the heartless timing of it. They clearly wrote an algorithm that said "if a person searches x, y, z, they are having issues conceiving, we should show them this ad" ; why couldn't that same algorithm say "If a person searches x, y, z, they are having issues, show them this ad in 4 months time.

@kellybean1988 I love Supernatural too! I'm really a Dean fan, but that gif just seemed the most appropriate...

I subscribe to Stitch Fix and have a fix scheduled to come in June. I really should cancel it since I don't even know if anything in it will be maternity friendly, but I won't. I just enjoy getting boxes of clothing too much. FX there's something practical for me to keep.

@poetryandoceans, I have such a love/hate relationship with FB. It takes real cojones to leave it and stay out. I just can't quit it. But ditto the creepiness of ads following you everywhere, even into my google accounts. I've just accepted that, HELLLOOOOO NSA, LOVELY TO SEE YOU AGAIN, I'm being watched all the time.

I totally agree here. I'm all about having a little fun and making sure information is shared in a respectful fashion, and sometimes the two things don't play as well together as we would like them to... I can be a bit sassy so I hope I can keep a lid on it when someone is uncertain or scared, and then let it out to play somewhere like the FFFC threads, or the UO. I think everyone knows that everyone's playing around on those threads, and would probably not get someone who's just looking to get information because they're scared or overwhelmed.

@poetryandoceans I quit FB for exactly the same reasons. I'm also in the same camp as you. Google Adsense has no idea if I'm in need of Viagra (since I study sexual dysfunction) or if i need to buy a crib.

I'm definitely for being all inclusive but I am not known for my patience and will not play nice with spechul snowflakes.
