Trying to Get Pregnant

New, 13 DPO, PCOS, AM I OUT?!

Hello everyone! I'm new here so short background, my hubby and I have been TTC for 3 years now with no luck. I was diagnosed with a  pituitary tumor 3 years ago at the beginning of all this craziness. Got put on Bromocriptine to regulate my prolactin level and that has been working great for the last 3 years. Now fast forward to last April, finally saw a RE (long story why I didn't see him sooner) puts me on metformin and says I have PCOS but without the actual cysts. So Now here we are, 2nd round of letrozole, got blood work done on 5/9 and that came back that I did O!! Yippee!!  I'm like 85% sure I'm about 13 DPO but I'm got a BFN today. I'm not going to get into every symptom since O day because I'm aware that most of those were just from my progesterone level being raised. But, I've been having cramping pretty much since 5 DPO, not normal for me to have cramping that early before AF. My nipples (not my whole breast, just the nipples) were sensitive from 9 DPO to about 11 DPP and now nothing. I was feeling more tired than normal for the first time last night. I went to bed around 9 p.m. which is very unusual for me, I'm up until about 11 or 12 every night. I slept until about 10:45 and woke up feeling pretty nauseous and my legs were restless. I got up and walked around to ease my legs but started feeling worse so I went and laid back down. Around 11:45 I was so sick I ran to the bathroom and could not stop throwing up. I threw up until I was just dry heaving. Woke up this morning still feeling nauseous and gassy. I got to work and had to go right into the bathroom because I had diarrhea. Then again about an hour later. I felt sick pretty much all morning until about noon or so. Now I'm feeling ok, slightly tired but I have this weird feeling in my lower stomach. Kind of like AF cramping, but not as bad as I get them, kind of like a full feeling, like maybe a UTI but without the feeling of having to pee constantly. I did POAS about an hour ago with the Clear Blue digital test because I have no will power even though I told myself I was going to wait until Saturday and it was a BFN. The last time I took Letrozole it did make me ovulate but I had a 33 day cycle. My period came on what would have been day 34. And right now I'm on cycle day 31. That round of letrozole was the first time I got a period on my own in I don't even know how long. So I have no idea how long my cycles normally are because I usually have to call my doctor to have him give me provera to get my period to start.

So, anyone have any symptoms close to mine and kept getting BFN and finally got a BFP. My husband is so excited about this round. The timing was perfect, the week we had to BD just happened to be the week were on vacation in the Smoky Mountains and we were alone, completely uninterrupted for the whole week. And he's convinced we made a "mountain baby" haha! Some days I feel like "yeah, there is a good chance I'm pregnant" than other days I'm like "nope, definitely going to be seeing AF soon" I'm pretty emotional also! haha Any advice, opinions, similar stories, they would all be greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone else has PCOS and could let me know if that could affect a HPT? Not really sure how that all works! haha

  • Someone else's experience really has no bearing on your own. I've had "symptoms" before and I haven't been pregnant yet. If you are getting negative tests, you aren't pregnant. We can't tell you any more than that. Also, comparing what cycle day you are on to other cycles doesn't really mean anything. You need to compare how many DPO you are. Do you know how long your LP (number of days between ovulation and getting your period) normally is on cycles that you do ovulate?

@SBailey1111 I'm going to bet you never bothered to read the newbie thread pinned to the top of this page.  I'm going to bet that you never read a single other thread on here before you created your own dear diary thread.  I'm going to bet you didn't offer support to a single other woman before barging in and demanding we all rush in to support you.

    Girl, bye.
I'm going to bet this is a BG account.

@Everycol0rYou think OP is a BG?  I'm confused.

Whaaaat.  But surely they wouldn't be breaking TOU and whatnot, would they?

Um, no. You don't get to talk to my friends like that. Take a moment to reflect on your behavior. We look forward to your apology.

  • If you're still reading OP,...

Digitals are not as sensitive. Try a "dye line" test.

But it's against TOU to ask if you could be pregnant. Saying Read the Newbie guide was really the best thing they could say. It wasn't rude at all. They were being helpful without telling you that you messed up and were wrong.
