Re: TWW Wednesday

  • Month/Cycle: 13

    CD/DPO: 39/10

    Timing: -1,-3,-6,+1

Testing: taking everything I have to not test but I don't want to while my sister is here. She leaves Sunday so earliest is that day but fmu would be Monday. So 14 or 15 dpo.

    R/R/CS: pretty much see above.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about?
hmmmm. Good question. I'd probably give a very basic intro speech about the possible pros to delaying college and basics of NOT taking a loan out for school and how there's other ways.

    TTC1: May 2015
Primary IF May 2016; Failed HSG; Scheduled Lap Sept. 2016

    timing: -3, -1, 0

testing: starting to test at 12dpo, 3 more days to go!

R/R/CS: Trying not to symptom spot so early, but it's hard not when you don't know what to expect or how you should feel so early on. But so far I feel good, minimal odd cramping here and there, but barely noticeable. Hoping it stays that way. I always seem to start pre-period spotting, so as long as that doesn't start I'm still in the running. Went to see my doctor about some odd symptoms I have been having that have me somewhat worried... He seems to think it's depression/anxiety related, of course it could be that... Not saying it couldn't be. I saw a video on Facebook that compares The struggle with Infertility to cancer, that women who have infertility are as stressed as woman with cancer, the ups and downs. And let me tell ya I have my fair share of ups and downs... 4 years and counting trying to conceive. Trying to stay positive this time around!

I would most definitely discuss bullying with high school students.

  • Month/Cycle: 6/6

    CD/DPO: CD18 / 4DPO

    Timing: -2, 0, +1

Testing: <sticks fingers in ears> lalalalala, can't hear you! I don't even want to think about it, haha.

R/R/CS: Stupid dilemma this morning. Supposed to go for a progesterone test on CD21, and my blood clinic now requires an appointment, which I forgot to do. The CD21 is Saturday. Blood clinic isn't open weekends. DH and I are out of town on Friday. No appointments available Thursday. Monday is a holiday. So I either go today, on CD18, or on Tuesday, CD24. I chose today because I read that progesterone will drop if the egg isn't fertilized or implanted. I think I ovulated CD14 so I should be okay. If not... ah well.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about? Interesting question! Keeping yesterday's 'adventure' thread in mind, I would advise them on the value of getting a good college education, then spend a few years in their 20's doing something out of the ordinary. They have the rest of their lives to be an adult, and it's so much easier to handle if you don't start adulting at age 22. Be crazy, travel, do something fun for a few years before families and bills and jobs take over.

    Timing: -4,-3,-2,-1,0

Testing: not going to bother until atleast my missed AF

R/R/CS: So yesterdays BFN played a much bigger toll on me than I thought. I ended up skipping work and going to see civil war. which was awesome btw but spent most of the day being depressed. today i just started crying and couldnt stop. idk what is wrong with me. why i let my hopes get so high every single time. my SIL is having her baby this week. and its just a bad TTC time for me I guess. I really cant bare the thought of another negative test. I spent way too much time trying to analyze the test to convince myself I see something when nothing is there. DH is still in Chicago and I really want him to come home. This is just incessant rambling so I will stop now.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about?
Taking the time to really think about your next step.

    Month/ Cycle:1/1

    CD/DPO: 22/9

    Timing:-3 and 0

Testing:hoping to hold out, may not happen may test this weekend

R/R/CS: Started tearing up this morning on a news story on NPR,(this does not happen normally) I started crying early last time when pregnant and also it is a sign of my period coming. Why does the body produce the same symptoms  for something complete different?! End of rant.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about? As a SS teacher my biggest issue with people and students is whining about how things work or are in this country but never doing anything about. I would give a speech about becoming the change you seek and actually do something about the problems in the world and not just posting a rant about it on Social Media and think you are done. Go out call you representatives, go volunteer, etc... Stopping winning and start doing!

    Timing: depends

Testing: I'd like to say I'll wait an appropriate amount of time, but I will probably test this weekend because I'm weak.

R/R/CS: FF moved my CH from CD15 to CD17....I really think 15 is right though based on other signs.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about?
Really thinking about what you want to do moving forward, not just going with the path of least resistance.

  • @JediAlly85 Sorry those kinda of days suck but Civil War movie is a great way to take your mind off of things.
@beary67 That is a good tip. My middle school kids put soo much out there, snap chat is the worst and they seem to forget you can just do a screen save and the picture will last forever.
    @leekat14 Sorry that sucks.

  • CD1 for me so I'm back to WTO. Honestly I've never been so happy to see AF, Last night I resigned myself to having to wait a couple months for AF after the BCP but this morning it's here! I've learned so much this last cycle so hoping to apply it and have a better cycle this time!!

    Month/Cycle: 9/8

    CD/DPO: 27/9

    Timing: -2, -1, +1

    Testing: Waiting until Friday.

R/R/CS: FF brought my CHs back this morning and left them in the exact same spot, so thankfully we didn't miss my FW. Still just kind of waiting for AF to show up so that I can get started on my first medicated cycle. I already have all of my telltale AF signs: cramps, sensitive nipples, craving all the carbs, and fatigue. Nothing out of the ordinary.  ETA: I'm also super irritable and on the verge of tears today. Sorry ahead of time...

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about?
I think I would encourage them to take a gap year, if they can. It's important to finish your education, but it's also a perfect time to take a chance and learn about yourself. I would also try to find a segue to encourage them to be kind to others and to use their gap year to do some good in the world. College will always be there, but the opportunity to truly learn something about themselves is invaluable and will give them insight to the lessons they will learn as they pursue higher education.
  • Month/Cycle: 5/4

    CD/DPO: 31/5

    Timing: -2 x2

    Testing: This weekend until AF

R/R/CS: Well, this cycle is weird and I have no normal post O symptoms, by boobs feels normal, but my face tells the whole story, nice cystic acne breakout...VERY attractive...Nothing else. Waiting around.

Also, can I just say I HATE the stupid clear blue commericals on Hulu, with all the people getting BFPs. I told DH, in reality they should show what it feels like to see a BFN as well, I mean, it's not like using Clear Blue CAUSES you to get a BFP. So pissed.......

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about? Don't go to private college and finance and piss away your financial future.......nobody would listen and they would still apply to and go to their fav "lib arts private" college.....*shrugs*

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 21/10

    Timing: Good

Testing: I tried this morning with a First Response test. My husband thought the negative means we are out until next cycle, so I showed him the uterus diagram and explained that it still could happen this month.

    ****Question****
I don't want to waste money peeing on sticks and getting negatives, but it's really hard to control the urge. Just this morning, I read that Dollar Tree tests can work as well as expensive tests. I just assumed "you get what you pay for" and that paying extra money would be worth it. Can I get your thoughts and opinions on Dollar Tree or other cheap tests?

    R/R/CS:
I'm bummed that I didn't get a positive this morning, but I'm hopeful that I have a little blastocyst burrowing into my uterus still. This would be a great time to be pregnant. I'd be due at the end of January, and that would give my husband time to be home with baby before his next tour with his band. I used to want a summer baby, that's teacher brain for ya, but a winter baby means that by summer we could do swimming stuff with a 5 month old.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about?
I used to teach high school math, so I've done this before. I don't really know what I'd talk about other than math.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about? I'm going with an UO here, but I would talk about options OTHER than college that still can provide a bright and happy future.  I've seen too many people that were just not cut out for academics waste their time and money and then feel like failures when they dropped out.  Trade schools, working your way up, or working your way around until you find something you love are all OK options in my book.

@mollyandd I also go for the internet cheapies then switch to good stuff later. My fav were the dollar tree new choice but the other dollar tree brand sucks.
Lately I've been ordering the one step Ovulation & preg tests. The opks are great, the preg tests are eh but they test at 20 miu. Just find a brand you like in bulk and make sure to check the hcg sensitivity.

@mrsmoore87 @mrsstuessy  thanks for the reassurance, I won't be ecstatic till I confirm but happy nonetheless.

  • Finally I get to post somewhat early and I'm still in the game even though I think AF is late.

    Month/Cycle: 5/6

    CD/DPO: 24/12

    Timing: -6, -5, -3, 0

Testing: BFN yesterday morning on a dollar store test; today should be CD1? If nothing happens today I might pick up a good test on my way home from work tonight.

R/R/CS: I am confused this month. I have no symptoms. Like no PMS symptoms and nothing else either. Today or yesterday should have been CD1.  I'm usually really predictable with cycles of 23 days and same PMS symptoms every month.  So who knows.  I've been under ALOT of stress and pressure at work so maybe I just didn't notice anything because I am distracted.  I'm not optimistic that it is anything other than a late period but I'll test before the long weekend for sure so I can drink wine.  Lots of wine (re: stress comment lol).

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about?
Probably about working hard to achieve your dreams or making good life choices.  I came from a regular blue-collar family but by working very hard and focusing on continuous improvement I have been able to accomplish alot in my career and personal life : )

  • @sldp123 I tested out the trigger a few months back and mine was gone by 8dpiui (which would be 10 days post trigger for me) that cycle. If I test at 10dpiui and I get a faint line I probably won't assume it is a positive until I test the next day and see if the color changes. Are you going to test tomorrow and see if it gets darker or lighter?

@teamginger13 thanks! According to my Googling, 10dpt seems to be the norm for people to test negative, but I know it can be longer. I tested yesterday and today and I can't see a difference in the line. I am trying to tell myself I should just wait until Saturday, which is when my RE said to test. But I know I won't be able to. From what I've read, the trigger shot has a half-life of 25-34 hours or something like that, and HCG doubles every 48 hours? So I would think that either way, by tomorrow it should be noticeably lighter or darker.

  • @mrsstuessy I had implantation dips with both my pregnancies (different from my estrogen surge dip I get at 4-6 dpo), and tested positive three days after.  As with everything, every one (and every time) is different but that doesn't stop me scanning my chart for a dip every morning!

@PensiveCrayon aw, thank you! I didn't do an official check-in today because I have nothing to report and I'm feeling a little negative. I will update tomorrow for sure.

  • @sarah0985 FX that you can hold off on testing!

MrsM00re87 sorry about your struggles.  My FX are crossed for you.

@JediAlly85 I’m so sorry that you’re having another tough day.  This never gets easier, does it?  *hugs!!

    @beary67 FX for tomorrow!

@leekat14 Be Kind!  Good message.

@marriedhamstermom It feels weird saying this but Yay for AF?

@MollyandD The dollarstore tests are essentially the same thing as the expensive ones just don’t have all the nice handles and colors.  You can get them even cheaper than the dollar store on Amazon.com/Amazon.ca.  That’s where I get mine.  They are called Wondfo.

@sLass42 OMGGGGGGGGG I’m crossing my fingers so hard for you right now!!!!!!  Can’t wait to hear tomorrow!

@Marley629 Finances!!!  That’s a good one.  Definitely necessary!

    @kiwielopingbride sorry about BFN.

R/R/CS: Last night felt a strange sensation in my ute area that I'm not sure I've felt before..like a tugging or slight stretching sensation. It was not intense, and not painful, but very present. Lasted only about 20seconds then not again. Could be something, probably is nothing, but at this stage I feel everything and wonder.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about?
The awesome power of the brain!! I've been fascinated with the world of psychology since I was 13 and went on to be a marriage and family therapist, and I still read up on new and old research all the time. It's incredible what the brain can do!!!

  • Just reintroduced myself, and jumping back in.

    Month/Cycle: 10/10

    CD/DPO: 28/10

    Timing: -2, 0

Testing: This morning, BFN. Will again tomorrow if AF doesn't come.

R/R/CS: Since month 5 or so I haven't tested at all because 1) AF loves to show up right on schedule and 2) for a variety of reasons I'd lost hope of us conceiving on our own. But yesterday I got some spotting, so I've naturally started freaking out about implantation, all while knowing it could just be AF's flying monkeys sent on ahead. Spotting on 9DPO would be unusual for me, but my LPs are 10-11 days, so who knows? This is the first time I've been hopeful since we first started trying, so I think I'll be pretty downtrodden if it's just AF again.

GTKY: You have a 10 minute speech to give at a high school.  What is it about? I really like the finances topic mentioned earlier.
