I work at a college-- graduation was last week and now things have finally slowed down a bit! We're a very, very small office, and there was one point last week where I saw students back-to-back for about 4 hours straight, without a chance to even get up to run to the bathroom!
My mom and I went maternity clothes shopping, and I went into a baby clothes store for the first time and went a little wild.
We celebrated my birthday. It was Friday, so for dinner made grilled oysters with lemon and salt, since I've been craving them for the last month. Then Saturday went out for breakfast at one of my favorite places, then drove into the mountains and hiked around till the evening, when we had cake with my family. Sunday was rainy, so we took it easy and enjoyed books and movies for the day. Eta I drank Italian soda all weekend instead of bubbly and have to say the whole foods peach melon flavor is amazing!
I had to work all weekend. When I had DD I cut back to only working weekends and staying at home during the week. I'm a nurse at a jail and it was a busy weekend. The struggle is real for some of the people I saw. One woman was released at 10 am and managed to get arrested again by 2 pm. Another guy was trying to win the best dramatic performance of chest pain award, but failed miserably when he refused testing because he didn't want me to shave his chest hair. Plus he fell asleep for a while in the middle of his performance. It was a busy weekend, but at least it's always interesting at work
OMG, all my respect is yours, I could never work with people, especially not with so problematic people.
We celebrated SO's birthday, so I baked a Guinness cake with cream cheese frosting (yum), then we went to visit my mother, grandma and my sister's family this weekend. It was great, my cousin and her FI were there too, and some friends came over. It was a busy and very cold weekend (hey, sun, where are you? hey summer, where are you??), but we had a great time. I sometimes miss living there, but of course I love my SO, and it's nice to have a separate life.
