@babylonghorn16 Sorry for your loss. Did you ever have a doctor or ob-gyn in your hometown? My RE is 2.5 hours away, so if I can't make it to office, my ob-gyn would U/S and B/W. Also, if it's just blood work, any labcorp can do it.

Thanks ladies. After talking directly to the hospital, and my insurance, the entire thing is covered because its a part of the IVF process which is covered. That seems like it was unnecessarily stressful. They told me that if it wasn't covered it would be $5k, with a discount to $1500 because my mom is an employee at that particular hospital. Go figure, either way it wasn't an amount that I needed to flip out over. They made it sound like it was going to be 10k uncovered.

I have been a little MIA the past couple weeks after first popping in here, so I apologize I didn't get to catch up on how everyone is doing! I was in Grand Rapids for work and didn't have much time to get on here. Sending good thoughts to everyone!

@babylonghorn16 so sorry for your loss. It's hard enough going through that without having to worry about monitoring appts.

@sleepyrn glad you got everything figured out! But that sucks you had to go through that unnecessary stress!

AFM, last week I had my saline sonogram and they found a fibroid. We were going back and forth about postponing the cycle and getting it removed. We met with our RE yesterday and he told us that it's fairly small, so we decided to try one IVF cycle and if it doesn't work, then we will revisit surgery. So we are officially moving forward! We had an injections class this morning, and I am feeling excited to get started! My last BCP is may 30, and I start stims on 6/4! Hope to find some cycle buddies in the group! As for all of you that are past ER and ET, my fingers are crossed that you all get your BFPs!!

OMG they changed my fresh cycle to a FET because my progesterone is too high, so desapointing! But the worst is that they are all booked for FET until October!!! That's so far!!

I'd take this up with someone high up in charge perhaps. Might not get you far but at least maybe they can squeeze you in somewhere sooner.

Thanks guys!! There is only 1 doctor in my office and I think he is taking way too many patients!! The nurse said that I can call every months when I get my period to see if they had cancellations, but I guess I'm not the only one that will wait for this! I'm so depress!!

The main office of my clinic is 1 hour away, they have 4-5 doctors, they might have availibilities earlier. I'll ask my nurse tomorrow about this possibility.

I'm at day 10 of stimming, my biggest follicle is at 17mm, looks like my ER will be on Saturday.

Hey all. I made it to the main clinic about 1 1/2 away from my house. I'm stilling pretty crappy. Checked into my hotel and the room I was assigned to had previously been assigned to someone else. Scary. Got that straightened out and now I'm getting some food. DH flys in tonight at 10pm. Thank you everyone for your well wishes.

@msirni0 I'm glad you got the fibroid situation figured out. Those surgeries are no fun.

@SanBL I would also be very upset about having to wait until October. Hopefully you can go to the other clinic for your FET.

@sleepyrn I'm sorry to hear about the ER situation. Seems weird to me. I have mild sleep apnea and am overweight myself and this was not a problem at my clinic. I think many women with pcos are overweight and are going through ivf. I hope you can get a second opinion maybe?

@SanBL sorry you have to wait for your FET. I'm in the same boat, unfortunately I think for ladies with pcos it's common but at least our bodies will be all clear and ready! Hope you can get that appt moved up though...that's crazy. My FET will likely be in June (they told me this) but they haven't made the appt because I'm still waiting for AF to come. Makes me think I should jump on it though asap!

AFM Just heard from the clinic today that I have 8 beautiful embryo blastocysts that are being frozen. That's all the info they gave me. I wrote back asking if they were graded at all as it seems most people on here tend to get those stats right? Also think it's crazy I started with 33 eggs retrieved, 17 made it to day 3 embryos and am now left with 8 embryos. I'm not complaining because it's a good number I just wonder what happened to them all?

@emgem819 I had similar numbers. 26 removed, 16 mature, 15 fertilized, 13 left at day 3 and ended up freezing 8 as well. I too wonder what happened to the others. I'll ask at my next appointment.

@emgem819 8 is a really great number! I started out with 19, then 10 fertilized, 3 made it to day 5 and were off to PGD testing and then 1 came back normal in time for our transfer. I was also wondering what the heck happened to the rest and was really sad we lost so many along the way. Luckily I still have 1 more on ice that came back from PGD as normal after our transfer. But you have 8, which is a beautiful number!

@emgem819 - 8 is a great number! i know what you mean how few people end up with. A teeny tiny part of me wants my doctor to over-stimulate on purpose, just so we will have a lot of eggs to begin with since we have to send ours for testing, and i'm terrified that we will end up with none! When are you hoping to do your FET?

@emgem819 8 embryos is amazing! The video I had to watch on IVF, expressed similar dwindling numbers. It's very common. You're lucky you had so many eggs to work with!

@cmm012 GOOD LUCK today!! Praying for great numbers and a smooth recovery!

AFM - just had my first monitoring appt!! # of follies maturing has decreased from initial count (thankfully), so now I have 19 on right and 23 on left. Still A LOT. They might decrease dosage again to be safe. And they were also able to move my appt to sat morn, so I can make it to funeral on Friday! So thankful it all worked out. Only 5 more days of stims!!! AHHHH!

@kyrgyzshan - thanks, I ended up not getting a message anyhow, but will check what they say. I know massages should be only "prenatal massages" but maybe that is later for when you are pregnant. I thought it would be ok just to do a 30 min head/neck massage but will check with my RE.

@cmm012- congrats! Glad your ER is over and you are recovering well.

AFM - I started feeling nauseous today (first when I hate my pineapple core this morning, which literally made me gag) and then later on during the day at work. I know its way too early for nausea to set in, so its definitely the PIO, but man, I wanted to run home and POS. I'm still waiting until Friday to do that, which may be too early even then, but I think I can hold out 2 more days. I'm only 2dp5dt today so I'm trying not to read into every cramp, twinge and other symptom.

@caseyw8784 thanks for the words of encouragement on the numbers. Like you said, I guess I'm lucky they did overstimulate me but I'll tell you it's not something I'd really want to go through again And hopefully I won't have to! My FET will likely be around June 15th.

AFM just started AF today! Let my RE know but still haven't heard back. I know in order to start the FET prep process I'm supposed to do Estrace orally but does anyone know when that usually starts?

I've been kind of MIA for a couple of days and have missed a lot! Congrats to everyone on their recent retrievals, transfers and frozen embies. @babylonghorn16 I'm so sorry about your grandmother.

AFM I'm 7dp5dt today with beta Friday. I've been testing at home and not even a hint of a line on FRER. I'm coming to terms with the fact that this is another BFN which has been pretty rough. The progesterone really messes with my head because everything makes me feel like I'm pregnant (lots of cramping, tired) but FRER probably would have detected something by now. It's back to the drawing board for me. Not ready to give up yet but am really losing hope.

@radmom27 don't give up hope just yet, I really hope it's a false negative. I didn't test early and got a BFP at my beta appointment. Then I came home and POAS so I could see it for myself and the test was stark white. Hoping that will be the case for you as well! Hugs

Just got my embryo blastocyst grading specifics so thought I'd post if anyone is interested. It's very cool how they monitor everything so carefully!
**Key:
B= Blastocyst, XB= Expanding Blastocyst, HB= Hatching Blasotcyst.
The capital letter indicates the grading for the inner cell mass and the lower case letter is the grading of the trophectoderm.

ER update:
32 eggs retrieved, 24 were mature, 12 were fertilized (by choice) and are growing. 7 unfertilized eggs were frozen (by choice). 5 eggs were not usable.

Bah, I've been getting those itchy red welts all over my tush from the PIO. I know it happens, so I was just going to suck it up and put coconut oil on myself or something, but DH insisted I email the nurse. She told me it is an allergic reaction and that I'll need to order a different PIO. I asked if I could switch back and forth (one week on, one week off) or something just to not waste the money, but she said it could cause tissue damage over time, so I just need to switch. So weird.

@dragonfaerie welts suck! how long have you been taking the PIO vs when the welts showed up? is taking oral pills an option at all?

@caseyw8784 I started the PIO almost two weeks ago, and the welts showed up a couple of days ago. I didn't ask about the oral pills, but I am okay doing the shots. When I need to order more, I'll ask about oral progesterone. But I will definitely take the shots over suppositories!
