  • @skiingstark THAT is brutal!  I hope it goes away soon!

@Doctordonna As the child of two amazing teachers, I can say wholeheartedly that your family has no idea what they're talking about.  Besides the fact that when school is in session it is hardly a 9-5 job, you're taking all this time over the summer to keep improving.  Great teachers make such a huge impact in people's lives, and don't get nearly enough credit for it.
  • @Daisy621 - Welcome! Do you use FF for your charts? If so, I would highly recommend adding a link in your siggy. The ladies here are so good at chart stalking. I took progesterone for a couple of cycles, but not since meeting with my RE, and I did notice slightly higher temps while I was taking it. FX for you. This is my last cycle before we start medicated cycles. I'm right there with you, I'm really hoping this could be our month.
  • @DoctorDonna I'm sorry to hear your family doesn't understand or value your career. one day hopefully they'll see, but even if they never do, you keep going on your own path and know that the rest of us appreciate the hard work you do! You deserve those 8 weeks for the work you do every day! I also happened to choose to spend my $1000 the same way! When I read yours I was shocked at how similar your responses were to my own

  • @Daisy621 Welcome! I am not a whole lot of help, since I don't have experience with progesterone. But, I do hope, for you, that this is your month. If not, at least you found a great board with some really helpful ladies. Make yourself at home.

@kfair001 I know! Change really is good. And typically I am not one to shy away from change. It is just that SOOOOO much is changing at once. New city, new jobs, living with SIL, just everything. I just keep breathing and telling myself that the important things won't change. DH, DD and I will still be together, and we will take care of each other. And our families are being so supportive and I know they are 100% there to help us succeed.

@kellybean1988 Thanks! I am just starting out. I did my training this winter and have been working on all the business stuff for the last few months. There is sooooooo much that goes into even a super small, one person business like mine. Next month I finally get to actually start working with clients and my first one is due in August.

@mrsstuessy are you moving far? That can be tough leaving the home where so many fond memories were made, but now you get to make so many more and still think fondly of the past :) DH and I just moved across the country, and boy that was tough.

    Month/cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 26/5

    Timing: -2, -1, 0

    Testing: Saturday,  10dpo

R/R/CS: starting my new dream job today!! Private practice! As a pre-licensed MFT this can be difficult to achieve, so I'm pretty excited. Also studying for the national exam, which is less fun, but looking at houses with DH, which is more fun.

GTKY (stolen from WTO): You're given $1000 with the stipulation that you must spend it on yourself and it has to be spent by the end of the day. What do you buy?

    I'm torn between:
Massage/facial/pedicure at nice spa, followed by delicious lunch with wine pairings. Then selecting a case of high-quality wine, which would be a splurge for me. Then shopping guiltlessly for a few new outfits. OR, I'd also be interestedin using it to design a creative vegetable garden with fun succulent terrariums.

    Month/cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 22/3

Timing: -3, -1, 0. I think we got it right this month- I think I've been miscalculating my O date before now. I can't rely on temping, since my morning schedule varies during the week. But I got the CB advanced (previously was using the regular digital) and I think I'd been off by about a day.

Testing: Promising myself I will hold off until AF is one day late. Will probably break that promise because BSC.

R/R/CS: Also itching, @skiingstark ! I've dealt with idiopathic hives on and off since I was 15. After 4 years of peace, they have come raging back within the past few months. An unwelcome distraction, but a distraction!

  • @kfair001 I know this is highly unlikely to be implantation cramps. I've never been implanted in before, but I've definitely felt this same type of cramp before. I just don't want what I have going on to mask anything else that could happen. Who knows. I might be one of the many who wouldn't feel it anyway.
  • @sweetyjenj We are moving because DH is graduating from grad school and we always planned on moving when that happened. We are only moving a few hours away and we are moving to be closer to family and live in a city that is much more family friendly. So, really it is a good move that I wanted for years. But, just the fact that everything is happening at once. I love it, really. And hooray for dream jobs! Marriage and family therapy? That is so awesome. I plan on getting my MSW to do something similar.

  • @sldp123, I've been randomly temping, too and it's not helping my BSC at all... You're doing a great job holding out on testing!!

Sorry you're feeling out already, @Kellybean1988. You're allowed to be a downer-- you're always lifting everyone up! *hugs*

@JediAlly85, SS is such a b*tch... My hip hurt this morning, so I googled "pain in hip flexor"... Turns out, I just need to stretch...

Sorry you're feeling like crap and getting BFNs, @babymish :( *hugs*

Sorry for the BFN, @Lecool. They suck and I'm hoping so hard for a BFP soon for you <3

That is glorious, @DoctorDonna!! I remember celebrating every "last" of the year every year... Last lunch duty, last Wednesday, last IEP meeting, last period 8.... Celebrate, lady! :) As for family telling you you're lazy because of the summers.... Screw them. (Sorry!) People have no idea how vital the summers are for preventing burnout.

Oh I've been away far too long, been sick ehh.
Have to post and ghost, but I'll catch up on last weeks bump happenings today.

    Month/cycle: 8/7

    CD/DPO:31/?

    Timing: good

Testing: no idea, so constantly poas

R/R/CS: Whoa feel like I've been gone forever! Sick last week so I missed work and I've been playing catch up ever since, no time to bump. Me first day back in the office....

    **Chart stalk? possibly futile**

So being sick and busy I've missed temps on and off which is making my chart horrible and me BSC. FF is saying 17 dpo now, which is impossible since I have a nice consistent LP of 12-14. I think O hit around CD20 which would put me at only 11dpo, but missing temps are messing up my CH. Still taking opks and checking cm/cp in case I had a false O but nothing yet. Should see AF by next week based on LP, CP, and pms symptoms. Temps are still high. Still poas everyday just to be sure since it's early, but I'm thinking I'm out and just waiting.

On a lighter note DH and I made it to season 5 on Gilmore Girls during my recoveryt, he's meeting Logan for the first time!

GTKY (stolen from WTO): You're given $1000 with the stipulation that you must spend it on yourself and it has to be spent by the end of the day. What do you buy?

A much needed massage, new cookware for the kitchen (I have an obsession with copper), clothes with the rest!

@sLass42 I think it looks more like O on CD22. I'm no expert, but I'm actually surprised FF is leaving your CHs where they are with all the low temps recorded the first few days after the CHs.

  • @sLass42Welcome back! I was wondering where you went. It definitely looks like you ovulated on CD 22 or 23 to me. I am also surprised that FF left your crosshairs there. Definitely no expert (unless you count the hours I have stared at stranger's charts, in which case I am expecting someone to send me my PhD in the mail any day now).

  • Back for my last set of responses today!  Oh my word you guys, today has been torture. I got all of the work I that I needed to do today done within my first hour here, so I've just been FREAKING OUT all day looking at the clock because I know I'm testing for the first time tomorrow AM and AF still hasn't shown up. I mean honestly you guys I have been stuffing like half a box of cheezits in my face for over an hour while obsessively refreshing TB. WTF is my life

Also, if y'all are in need of some entertainment, feel free to check out the amazing number of drive-by posts we've had in the past few days. Holy wow.

@mrsstuessy Yes, I can’t imagine how much work goes into even a small business like yours. I am sure you’re going to be awesome at it!

@sweetyjenj Wow, congrats on starting your dream job today! I am so happy for you—I hope the day goes/went well.

@Vastra First of all, great profile pic. Second of all, so sorry for the hives, that is no fun!

@wineo929  Awww thanks…you are too sweet!

@sLass42 So sorry you’ve been sick. In looking at your chart, I would actually guess O was maybe CD22??

    @sldp123 @mrsstuessy  @beary67 @kellybean1988

I def agree on the O being around cd22. Needed some back up!

I know the temps are royally messed up this month but I experimented with dropping the weird temp on cd16 because it was way too late. Last week it would take away the dotted CH, drop my CL lower and switch to solid CH around cd22, but now it doesn't do that. It's also saying in my interpretation that I must be on progesterone for my long LP, so def thinking FF is off because I'm not on progesterone lol.
I'm getting my normal cramps this week so I'm calling it on cd22 with af coming next week. I was afraid it was looking annovulatory, but I think the temp spikes and ewcm have me feeling better.
I was going to use the manual override but I'm assuming it'll adjust properly once AF hits anyway, but I don't like the "past testing time" type notes...annoying and fuel for the BSC.

eta- oh my, i used the manual override and it was even more of a mess, no thank you! But lists me at 9dpo which seems right.

  • Thanks @DoctorDonna ! I don't think my temps are necessarily higher than usual, just weird if that makes sense. I'm usually on the downward trend by this point. I do use FF- I've been charting on and off for many years. I tried to add a link, but I don't think I did it right.. ? I'll try again. I hope you'll have good news in the form of a bfp in a few days too! :)

  • @DoctorDonna I am not a teacher but I can relate.  Do you know how I deal with people like that?  I play songs in my head.  It sounds stupid I know but it works.  I have a couple songs that I sing (in my head lol) whenever I'm around jealous/hateful/annoying/etc people so they don't get me down.  Haters gonna hate!  Don't let people get you down or under your skin.  They are just jealous of your summer vacation!  And they clearly do not understand the work you do put in throughout the entire year.  Just be proud of yourself and keep doing you.

    Month/cycle: 5/6

    CD/DPO: 22/10 (i messed up yesterday - did a recount)

    Timing: -6, -5, -3, 0

Testing: trying to hold off until period is late (due tomorrow or Wed)

R/R/CS: Like I said yesterday, I was doing a good job at not obsessing about TTC but now I'm thinking about it all the time.  But I can't help hoping this will be our month. I don't want to get my hopes up but I've given in to the fact that I will get my hopes up every cycle.

GTKY (stolen from WTO): You're given $1000 with the stipulation that you must spend it on yourself and it has to be spent by the end of the day. What do you buy?   Right now the thing I can't justify spending on but really want is new golf clubs.  They could easily cost $1000 so that's it and if I had $100 left I'd buy a new golf outfit ;)
