@Tulips29@susykat77 I wondered about that too. I keep forgetting to ask though. I have a follow up on Monday to check my estrogen levels, when the nurse calls that afternoon then I will ask her about it. It seems quite unfair to have to wait that long.

I would like to join this group! I had my third IUI on 5/10 so I will likely be testing around 5/22. My RE gives us the option for beta or POAS and I always opt for POAS bc that is one less time I have to schedule an appointment and leave work. I just started progesterone suppositories tonight and all I have to say is UHHH.

@WishingforLuck I know every RE is different, but a blood test should be able to tell BEFORE the full two weeks. My friend thinks maybe they are just doing a POAS test that day, and then they'll do a follow up blood test if I get a positive. Well I waited this long to test but my Wondfos are being delivered today so from here on out I think I'll have a hard time restraining myself until Sunday AM! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but this cycle I had a good lining, timed things right, took progesterone the whole LP, and also used PreSeed for the first time... I feel like the conditions are as good as they'll ever be!

My RE's nurse just called and she said my levels are at 8.6, she said thats good bc I ovulated (I checked my last 3 levels and they are all around the same so no change!) should they be higher? I read somewhere 10 is ideal, Or is the 8.6 not so good sign?

@ADRIANAC1982 Progesterone levels confuse me. I see all kinds of conflicting information online. I've had it tested twice, once after starting Prometrium at 2dpo (16.9) and once at 7dpo without Prometrium (9.9). For the 9.9 test they said I ovulated but I should start with the Prometrium. Then later a nurse referenced my 16.9 test and said it was "only 16.9" even with Prometrium. So I would be interested to know what others hear!
@wifeinraleigh28 I was about to buy FRERs but then I got spooked by all the stories of false positives with the new design! I can sort of handle a straight BFN but to get a BFP first would be awful. Anyway, so I plan to take Prometrium an extra day or two to make sure the Wondfos are accurate. I figure by 15/16 dpo they would be. Thank you for the encouragement!

@LizzieJ13 Thanks, I agree everything you see online is all across the board, I think if I just stick with, "the doctor said thats what he wanted to see" then im okay with it.
Unlike most, (@ least I think most) I only did the Clomid and trigger, no other medications so im not sure if that stuff also makes a difference!!
I probably should ask here BEFORE i tell my DH, bc he's like now im stressing out So not like him, he's the rough and tough type but this I wanna know I wanna know side of him is kinda cute too

@ADRIANAC1982 That's a good point, no use stressing out if the doctor is good with it. I also remember my nurse saying anything over 3 is ovulatory so that is also comforting. Apparently Letrozole affects progesterone levels so I am always worried about it.

Good luck to tulips29, LMart85 and LizzieJ13 on testing today and tomorrow!! I made the mistake of POAS this am at 3dp5dt which I know in my head is ridiculous but of course when I saw a BFN got really depressed and have started preparing myself the worst. Why do I do this to myself??

Oh man, so my husband and I stopped at Target earlier today and I couldn't help myself --- bought some FRERs and POAS when I got home! I got the faintest line but in my gut think it's still the Ovidrel. I did the shot 2 weeks ago last night. Last cycle it stayed in for 2 weeks exactly. I should have waited till tomorrow!!!!!

Unexplained infertility and TTC since December 2014
February 2016 - May 2016: 3 IUI's -- all BFN
August 2016: IVF #1 (Lupron, Gonal F and Menopur) -- 12 retrieved, 9 fertilized, 3 frozen and 1 x day 5 hatching blast transferred -- BFN. Sent remaining 3 embryos for PGS testing -- 2 didn't survive thaw, 1 was abnormal.
February 2017: IVF #2 (Gonal F, Menopur, and Ganirelix) -- 12 retrieved, 6 fertilized, 3 sent for PGS testing and all were abnormal
March 2018: IVF #3 (Menopur, Follistim, Ganirelix and HGH) -- 14 retrieved, 12 fertilized, 4 sent for PGS testing, and 3 were PGS normal
May 2018: FET #1 -- BFN
August 2018: FET #2 -- BFP!!! healthy baby girl born May 2019!!
July 2020: FET #3 -- embyro did not survive thaw
September 2020 - IVF #4 (Menopur, Follistim, Ganirelix and HGH) -- 1 PGS normal

Well I waited this long to test but my Wondfos are being delivered today so from here on out I think I'll have a hard time restraining myself until Sunday AM! I'm trying not to get my hopes up but this cycle I had a good lining, timed things right, took progesterone the whole LP, and also used PreSeed for the first time... I feel like the conditions are as good as they'll ever be!
How's everyone else doing? Weekend plans?

Good afternoon ladies!
Does anyone know if progesterone levels should be high post-iui?
My RE's nurse just called and she said my levels are at 8.6, she said thats good bc I ovulated (I checked my last 3 levels and they are all around the same so no change!) should they be higher? I read somewhere 10 is ideal, Or is the 8.6 not so good sign?

@wifeinraleigh28 I was about to buy FRERs but then I got spooked by all the stories of false positives with the new design! I can sort of handle a straight BFN but to get a BFP first would be awful. Anyway, so I plan to take Prometrium an extra day or two to make sure the Wondfos are accurate. I figure by 15/16 dpo they would be. Thank you for the encouragement!

Unlike most, (@ least I think most) I only did the Clomid and trigger, no other medications so im not sure if that stuff also makes a difference!!

I made the mistake of POAS this am at 3dp5dt which I know in my head is ridiculous but of course when I saw a BFN got really depressed and have started preparing myself the worst. Why do I do this to myself??
