NEWCOMERS:
To be added to the Weekly Checkin, please answer the following:
1. How long have you been TTC?
2. What is your diagnosis?
3. What is your current treatment plan?
QOTW: When you eat a piece of gum, do you crumple the wrapper or do you fold it neatly before throwing it away? (I was told by a professional interviewer that it actually provides insights into personality types, go figure. I'll tell you what he said about it next week)
Re: TTTC Checkin 05/10/2016
I crumple my gum wrapper. Can't wait to find out what that says about my personality!
Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014
IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs
IVF ER (July 2016) = 7 PGS normal embryos
FET #1 (Sept 2016) = BFP! DD born 5/30/17
FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014

GTKY - both. I'll fold it if I need the wrapper to throw out the gum later, if not I'll crumple it.
QOTW i do both depending on my mood at the moment...I feel like if I happen to be super stressed I tend to fold...otherwise I crumple
@wifeinraleigh28 & @kayla1232keeping my fingers crossed for both of you!

Oh, and I am definitely a gum wrapper folder. It always ends up folded into a small square. Unless table football is involved. Then it's balled up :-)
Good Afternoon Everyone,
@wifeinraleigh28 I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for you! I'm sorry you guys had such a rough and depressing day yesterday, but maybe knowing you have the IVF trial will let your body relax a little more this cycle and accept the IUI process!
@ladymillil I am sorry about your morning today.
@kayla1232 My fingers are crossed for you as well that this month is your month!
@harleyquinn0621 I hope the clomid works as planned!
I am on CD 5 today. My new RE so far is fantastic. Already providing us with way more information and options. I went in for repeat CD 3 bloodwork and they did an ultrasound this time. And will continue to monitor this cycle just to see how my body works on it's own. He also said my DH's sperm motility was a little low which we have never heard before. So we are 3 for 3. Low count, low motility and low morphology. He said his count was borderline though and we would be good candidates for IUI. DH is anxious and wants to get started with one right away and he wants to do the more extreme meds immediately as well. we go in at the end of this cycle for a follow up and a decision making time.
QOTW- I tend to fold... several times over. I am a fiddler and my fingers always seem to be needing to do something.
Me: 30 DH: 33
Married: February 15, 2013
TCC: October 2013
MFI- low count/morphology
May / June 2016- Monitored cycle and TI- BFN

@LadyMillil This is really funny but just this morning I saw the gif in your siggy from Gilmore Girls and then happened to watch the episode that it's in within an hour. I've been watching it on Netflix for the last month or so and the fact that episode was next today is such a funny coincidence. Weird!

Good luck to everyone with their various treatments etc!
I have started using OPKs this week as well as my saliva microscope. I had a very close positive OPK this morning and this evening, it is a new brand of IC OPKs. I tested it against another cheapie brand and it wasnt even a close positive. When I use these up I am sticking to Wondfos! Anyway, I really hope I turn an OPK positive although with my PCOS I know I may get positives that don't mean ovulation. I had a whole string of positive OPKs in November of last year, I really thought for a few days I was gearing up to ovulate, and it was a total let down. We are doing our best to BD EOD. As for the gum question, I can't chew gum because I have TMJ
Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo!
EDD April 3 and praying things work out!
QOTW: I always crumple by gum wrapper....and I chew alot of gum. I'm curious to find out what it means!
No Folic acid/pharmaceuticals/supplements (too many to list- private message me if interested), IVIL infusion
QOTW: When you eat a piece of gum, do you crumple the wrapper or do you fold it neatly before throwing it away?
It depends. If I'm driving or in a rush I crumple it. If I'm sitting there and I have time I fold it neatly. Folding it neatly is immensely more satisfying.
Clomid 50;100;150;200: No O
TSH 3.75 Put on 50mg levothyroxine
1500 MG Metformin
7.5 MG Letrozole: No Follicles
9 MG Letrozole: 21mm Follicle no pregnancy
4 cycles at 9 MG Letrozole, No pregnancy
Good luck @lablover78 @wifeinraleigh28
Had our follow up appointment this morning and we have to decide between doing IVF or continue IUI but switch from Clomid to injectables. We are leaning towards IVF but we still need to discuss it all. I'm feeling hopeful after meeting with the RE.
As as for the gum wrapper I think I crumple it up and throw it away. I haven't had gum in so long that I'm not even sure that's right haha.

Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo!
EDD April 3 and praying things work out!
I haven't "checked in" in a long time because, well, not a lot has gone on that is super exciting.
We have officially hit the one year mark of TTC. I got my official diagnosis of Congenital adrenal hyperplasia, which is an endocrine system disorder that causes me to have annovulation as well as no cycles. Haven't had a cycle since December (keep in mind I only get them when I am prescribed medicine like provera anyway). My husband got tested for the disorder I have and he is not a carrier, woo. I was put on the steroid prednisone 2 months ago. Since then my problem hormone, 17 Hydroxy progesterone has went from 555 to normal. High is considered anything over 74. So woo again! I'm supposed to get a cycle on my own now that my hormones are correct for the first time in my life. However if I do not,my RE said I could probably start provera followed by the lovely clomid in June!
Me: 23 DH: 30

BFP on 9/8/16 after cycle #9 of 16 months TTC!! 1st US 10/3
Currently: Very anxious!!
QOTW: I don't usually chew gum, but I think I've done both...
@Ducks&Cats I have TMJ too! I got due to complications after getting my wisdom teeth out. It used to be worse, but it's still annoying when it flares up.

EDD April 3 and praying things work out!
@LadyMillil - Sorry to hear that this cycle did not work out! Sending love over to you!
@Plainjanie - So glad you like your new RE! Things are sounding so promising for you!
@kayla1232- We are at about the same place in our cycles! I'm 6dpiui right now! GL!
@ale9687 - GL with IVF!
@Ducks&Cats - I hope you get a positive on your OPK!
@lablover78 - GL in your last Clomid cycle! (and I hope last cycle for good!)
@LMart85 - I am currently struggling with when to test as well! Hoping you get a BFP whenever you do it!
@Mythril - It is awful what this whole process can trigger for us, I really hope that you do O this month! GL!
@Worldtravler0522 - So many hard decisions to make, GL at your meeting with the RE!
@SummerBrooke13 - Hoping you get your cycle on your own! If not...I am in the same boat...only get a cycle with Provera! So frustrating sometimes!
@meli123k - IF is so draining on MH! Hope you are taking care of yourself, and I'm sending lots of positive vibes and love to you!
@harleyquinn0621 - GL with your Clomid cycle!
@Inge Molon - I hope your dream comes true! My MIL just told me she dreamt that I had triplets, so I am hoping that these dreams are a good sign!!
Update: I am currently at 6dpiui in the 2WW and trying soooo hard not to symptom spot, especially because I am taking Progesterone.....but it is soo hard. I had a few symptoms suddenly onset today and it is doing crazy things to my mind, but this is also the first time we have actually made it to the 2WW. Currently counting down the days until the 24th and I keep debating with myself if I should POAS before I go in for my blood test on the 24th. Our 10 year anniversary is on the 21st and my birthday is the 29th, so I'm trying not to let a negative test (possibly) ruin those days for us.
Good luck to everyone this week!!
QOTW - I fold it neatly. Every time.

I think we've decided to start IUI's in August; we have so many travel plans for the summer, that we wanted to wait until we were back from that.
I'm super annoyed, my pap came back abnormal this week, so I have to go in for a colp (decided to do it during WTO next month, instead of my TWW this month).
In better news, I'm finally getting progesterone & prolactin tested this month; going in on the 23rd for that so FX its normal OR something that could potentially be treated and make a difference for us.
I'm a wrapper folder; though it's been a long time since I've chewed gum.

@ReesaAnne16 I think progesterone is an easy fix...my levels are low so they have me use a cream the entire 2ww. GL this cycle!
No Folic acid/pharmaceuticals/supplements (too many to list- private message me if interested), IVIL infusion
Sorry about the abnormal pap @ReesaAnne16. I've had a few of those myself. I'm sure the colposcopy will be fine since it's usually nothing. In fact, my OB said the rules are changing to doing paps every 3 years instead of ever year, even if you have a history of abnormal paps. I guess statistics show that even with abnormal paps, usually the issue resolves itself. I guess they felt that they were doing a lot of unnecessary testing. GL with your decision to start IUIs in August!

@lablover78 UGH hot flashes and 90 degree weather. Not looking forward to that! Hope I am get a BFP before then... ugh. Not even willing to hope yet. But I hope your clomid works!
@Ducks&Cats OMG yes! I usually get "stop being a pessimist" but it's a valid concern! I don't have a saliva microscope but I feel like I would always be checking because it sounds cool.
@StephyM89 I know I'm like 6 days late replying but congratulations on your TWW! I am not sure if it's weird to congratulate that but when I get to the stage I will be so ecstatic, so I'm sharing that excitement with you! *breaks out the pom poms*

Treatment plan: follow up appointment with Doctor decided to try something new. Doctor suggested femara. My spouse and I have been taking supplements to improve egg quality/sperm quality. So we are underway with femara cycle 1 this cycle, on cd 23, 8dpo. Had a 27mm dominant follicle during my cd 15 ultrasound. Felt good on femara, just had loads of ovulation cramping. Makes sense given the size of my dominant follicle. But now I feel good. Progesterone blood work on cd 22 was 42. Yay! Good ovulation. Now if only we caught the egg, let's hope so. Treating myself to massage tomorrow, I can't wait!
So tried clomid - lots of side effects, 6 cycles bfns. IVF = absolute shit show, and now working backwards with femara with TI. We could try iui with femara... maybe we will have to go that route eventually.
I definately fold the wrapper, neatly before tossing it away!
