I'm at the in-between stage of wearing low cut pants or wearing them unbuttoned/hair tie. Probably not too many more weeks until I'll want to bust out the maternity pants or just wear leggings and tunics for a while.

  • Ugh, I gave up on my jeans and work pants officially this week. I am firmly in the land of maternity and it is an ugly place.
  • It's hot here.  I'm wearing the same pair of shorts and 2 skirts until I can go find some maternity shorts.  I'm hesitant because I know as soon as I stop progesterone some of this will be gone.

  • I really wanted to choose "I don't wear pants" because I try to avoid pants as much as possible. I live in skirts and dresses if at all possible which seem to still fit well now that the bloat has mostly subsided and there's no bump yet, but the weather hasn't been quite warm enough to wear dresses and skirts every day yet. I plan on going pants-less for the whole summer if I can (except when I'm at my lake house for a week and constantly climbing in and out of boats... unless I want to give everyone a show).
  • My only jeans are high waisted jeggings. They stopped fitting around week 6. My scrubs still fit but they're getting uncomfortable.

@comealongponds, ouch! I find it funny that my most comfortable pants are skinny jeans. They're the lowest cut ones and button under my bump.

I wear a lot of sweatpants. Jeans aren't a staple for me so right now I'm still in my regular clothes (as they're a little stretchy). My scrub bottoms are okay but my top is starting to get snug. Time to switch to tshirts.
  • I have one pair of white pants that still fit with the rubber band trick and are a little more stretchy so they don't press on my lower stomach, the rest of the pants/jeans I've switched to maternity already
  • I have one pair that still fits! I was sorely disappointed this morning when I tried on a pair that I wore last week and I couldn't button it. Time to bust out the maternity clothes :)

I've been lucky so far and can still fit everything. I carried DD so high (and she never ended up dropping) that most of my pants fit my whole pregnancy with her. I did add a belly band sometimes, but it was nice not to have to by a lot of maternity pants.
  • Last week I went from fitting in all my pre-pregnancy pants to fitting in none overnight. I bought a belly band from Target so I can keep wearing my normal work pants (unbuttoned) and I actually like it.

I picked up some maternity jeans at a thrift store last weekend and wore them today for the first time... Hate them. Ugh. Glad they were just $5 because I doubt I'll wear them again

  • all of my pants are either stretchy or have elastic waist bands. lol but I did try to squeeze into my skinny jeans and they barely fit still. But I'm not as far along as others here and I think I lost some fat with this MS

Phew, this makes me feel better,  I'm wearing my new cute Kensie skinny maternity jeans for the first time today.  I felt like I shouldn't have needed them, but I can't button anything else.

I gave up on nonmaternity pants around 10 weeks.  But this is my 4th pregnancy.  Plus I wear jeans a lot, and my more comfortable jeans got a hole in them, leaving me with skinny jeans.  I shoved myself into them, but it wasn't comfortable, and since I already owned maternity pants, I just switched over.

  • None of my jeans or pants fit. Now that it's warmer out I've been wearing alot of sun dresses and leggings. Still haven't purchased any maternity clothes yet.

Pants aren't a problem in the AM. But by the time I'm driving home, zero chance they are still buttoned. And probably not zipped either ...
  • Pants just feel kinda suffocating. They still fit but just not comfortable. I don't think baby wants anything constricting him at all he wants plenty of wiggle room lol.

This is my first baby and I'm 14 weeks today. My jeans are tight but I can zip them in the morning. By lunch; however, they are really uncomfortable! I bought a belly band - it was slightly more shifty than I'd hoped but was more comfy than my too tight jeans after lunch today.

  • My body is funny - I had to buy maternity pants at 5.5wks, but at 12wks now they are falling down. So hard.
  • 14w4d here. I have a couple pairs of colored low-rise jeans that still fit fantastically and a couple pairs of mid-rise work slacks that fit if I suck in, but anything high-waisted is out of the question. I had to wash my go-to pair of jeans after getting vomit on them last week, which resulted in them tightening up quite a bit, so I haven't even tried to wear them... Bought a pair of maternity jeans today though, and wow, I don't ever wanna take them off!

I also have a super short torso, and it seems all of my guts are getting pushed up quite a bit, so any shirts or dresses with tight/structured waist bands are now out of the question.
  • Define "fit." Like fit comfortably? Tightly with a muffin top? Only with a Bella band?
  • For some reason, the first thing that popped in my head when I saw the title of this was, "Is this a poll that asks if we're currently wearing pants?"

    Me too!
  • I can wear my regular pants, but I don't want to, lol. The best thing about maternity pants is no muffin tops. So smooth and nice, hahaha. I am still rocking my lularoe leggings though, they're "not" maternity ....but they basically are.

O/T but s/o progesterone... Last night was my first night not to take my progesterone. I had a really hard time falling asleep, even though I was exhausted. I didn't even have any water before bed but I woke up and peed what felt like a gallon! I'm looking forward to the bloat going away so I can see whatever actual bump I have! Good luck to you stopping yours! I know how nerve-wracking it can feel <3

  • I went to Motherhood Maternity and picked out an amazing pair of maternity jeans. Comfy, but to the unassuming eye they look completely "normal" (and dare I say stylish?). Some of my normal jeans still fit, depending on the time of day. I just don't want to have someplace to be and be like...

  • I could still wear my regular pants if I wanted and they'd just be a little snug - but maternity pants (and my usual scrubs) are so comfy I've gleefully switched over!
I actually keep all of my maternity clothes in the guest room closet so I'm not staring at a lot of normal clothes that don't fit when I get ready.   It's much easier to look in a separate closet - kind of "these are your choices.  Pick one."
  • If I'm standing, I can get away with normal pants. But then I sit down and the waist band digs into my belly.

  • Things are getting snug, and I'm relying on scrubs for work. I made the mistake of wearing tight pants once last week and decided to go on a maternity shopping spree after!
  • I was lucky enough to be able to wear my normal pants til the day I had my first baby. Second.... Not so much. But so far this pregnancy I haven't gained weight so maybe I'm on a healthier track again this time *fingers crossed* ;-)
  • I'm wearing maternity pants for the first time today and wow, such a relief.

I've had to belly-band my regular pants for about a month now. I've put on 8 pounds or so, and my body always puts the chub right on the front on my stomach, plus I've dealt with the bloat so many of us do.

I would have gotten the pants a little sooner, but its hard to find ones long and slim enough for my figure. I have black and khaki work pants. Still looking for jeans.

I can still kind of wear my old jeans, but it's not fun. I've been using the hairband trick to remain a little comfortable, and switching my work clothes over to legging+tunic outfits.

I've also gained about 8 pounds, and it's so weird because my body usually doesn't put weight on my stomach (hips and thighs instead), but this time around it has only landed on my tummy and boobs. None of my regular clothes styles are well adapted to this, so I can't wait until I can just embrace the maternity look. Currently I just feel lumpy, and I don't want my coworkers to catch me wearing my maternity jeans yet.

Old Navy's low rise maternity leggings are amazing though, they're all I want to wear.
  • I wore my regular jeans well into my seventh month during my first pregnancy and so far it's looking like this pregnancy will be similar. Actually to be honest, all my jeans are loose so maybe they're just too big? Either way I'll wear them for awhile yet.
  • I can still button/wear my regular pants (14 weeks) but holy muffin top. For me, I think it makes me look even more pregnant than maternity pants because it makes it very obvious that I've only gained weight in one very specific spot. And since I haven't told my associates at work yet, I'd rather they think I've just had too many burritos.

Once we get to the maternity pants with the stretchy band of material and then to the panel of material (sorry don't know technical terms) does anyone know if any brands come with belt loops still? Last pregnancy my job was challenging because I didn't have belt loops. I'm hoping to make it easier this time by finding pants with loops. I ruin my pants at work so I tend to get my maternity pants at a consignment shop, but willing to spend a little more if need be to get what I want.
  • I wanted to check "I don't wear pants" so badly because I giggled when I saw it.  I am still fitting into my normal pants right now.  I'm pretty stoked about it but I'm also really looking forward to getting my bump on.  I lost some weight before I found out I was pregnant and though I haven't put any weight back on I definitely look frumpy.  It'll be nice when people stop wondering why I got fat again.

I went shopping this weekend and bought 6 pairs of pants and none of them, not even the jeans, have belt loops.

I've been wearing "legging pants" from uniqlo. Basically, they're fake jeans. Very stretchy. I lost weight before the pregnancy which definitely helped me fit into my old clothes for longer. In the summer I plan on wearing a lot of stretchy maxi dresses.

    This is really sad news
  • @jstinkz I don't know why you need the belt loops but it would be nice to have them just to pull your pants up when you stand. It's kind of hard to get a good grip on the waist with the belly band. Maybe you'll get lucky and find something though!
