I just bought a pair of AG skinny jeans and AG white jeans from A Pea in the Pod (they had 30% off a purchase of $150 yesterday and I think they still do - but it's weird I only see it in my phone, not on my computer). They're full panel. I have some full panel leggings and they stay up just fine. I didn't want the side panel because I have a pair of side panel jeans from J. Crew right now and they're starting to dig into my stomach when I sit. I find they also sit lower than regular jeans and I just get paranoid that they're like jabbing into the baby everytime I sit!
@MrsBigTime I got a plain black Tula last time and I regretted it. I thought I'd jazz it up with fun accessories, but that just looked dumb with no major pattern to play off of, and the plain black shows wear so much quicker. It looked faded and old really quickly. My guess is that a pattern would hide that. I sold mine. Can't decide which pattern to go with this time.
I ordered stuff from destination maternity including a new pair of jeans! I totally second full panel on maternity jeans! I don't feel like my jeans are always falling down or in the third trimester I like the comfort of always knowing I'm covered!!!
I bought not one but two diaper bag One Vera Bradley off Zulily (great deal) and then a thirty one bag I wanted to get for a diaper bag that happened to be on sale this month so I figured why wait. Actually I have three of you could the one my mom scored at a yard sale. A Petunia Picklebottom. She also scored a Mei Tai and a Pouch carrier.
@mrsasolomon It doesn't hurt to have a back up bag or two. With my 1st a juice cup broke and soaked the bag. While it air dried I ended using one of my shopping totes. With kiddo #3 I picked up another so I have a back up.
ETA I also have another cheap one that's machine washable for the times we are expected at the ILs. They have way too many cats that pee on everything.
Got this haul from our town-wide gently used children's clothing/toys/equipment sale last weekend for <$100, including the complete Janie and Jack outfit (including matching shoes) on the right and barely used Keen sandals on the left.
@serenaxo84 how do you keep the full panel up before having a baby belly? I have never bought full panel before. I imagined that I would have a bunch of material gathered at my waistline until 6-7 months when the full panel would have something to go over.
Edit words
' @NatashaSprout you can roll it down like a PP suggested but if you buy in the correct size the belly panel shouldn't be too big. Right now the belly panel goes up to my bra and is a little loose but it doesn't fall down. i also am showing at this point... But I wore them pretty early with my first pregnancy too and I was a lot skinnier and didn't have an issue the either!
Ive actually bought my maternity pants smaller than what I normally wear. Normal JCrew jeans I am a 28 but my AG and pea in the pod skinnies are a 26. Non maternity I wouldn't be able to get a 26 past my thighs!
I've bought maternity clothes but a small wind-up music toy (giraffe) is the only thing I've bought for the baby. We'll be waiting until a bit later to buy clothes and furniture. We've picked out our major purchases already and we'll probably buy when things go on sale over the next few months.
One thing I've been desperately trying to find is a particular style of Old Navy maternity jeans. I have one pair and they are the absolute best - the full panel ones make every lump and bump I have stand out. I wear these ON jeans almost every day so I want a second pair because they won't last long if I keep having to wash them so much. But the Old Navy here never carries them in my size and Old Navy Canada doesn't have maternity on their website anymore so I can't find them! I'm thinking of driving into Toronto to see if I can find them anywhere.

@KilgraveMadeMeDoIt Old Navy is only carrying maternity exclusively in store. Opposite, GAP maternity is available online only. Also, which jeans are these? It sounds like I need some. If you know the style number (so find a size in store that's not yours) take it to a staff member and ask them to do a check. They don't ship between stores, but you can at least find out where has them and ask for a hold before you drive everywhere.
@mrsjlang They're the boot cut low panel jeans. Full panel stuff annoys the hell out of me, but it seems to be all that most maternity stores carry, and skinny anything (which is the only other style I can find anywhere) just looks completely ridiculous on me because I'm fat and I have huge, muscular calves from all the walking and swimming I do. I didn't know they could look it up by style number. I'll do that tomorrow. I was seriously planning to spend my afternoon off tomorrow running around to find a damn pair of these jeans.

@KilgraveMadeMeDoIt I've been gravitating to the full panel because it looked more comfortable, but I might have to look into those. Boot cut is the way to big though, hands down. The store here checked, so I would assume any store should check if you ask nicely.
I got some of my maternity shirts (tents?!) today. Why can't all shirts be this long! Seriously considering wearing maternity shirts while I'm not pregnant. I wonder if anyone would notice....
When buying clothes what sizes do you buy? I've been trying to mix it up 0-3 and 3-6. Probably should buy too many until after my shower but zulily had some good deals and cute stuff! We're waiting until July to buy furniture when we have cash saved for it.
@Justpeachier13, so much depends on the size of your baby. It also depends on your climate...it's hard to pre-buy for the first year, unless you really don't mind baby swimming in too-big clothes, or possibly uncomfortable in too-tight things.
For example, DD was always slightly smaller than the "age" of the clothes, so wore 0-3 months until about 4 months, wore 3-6 months until about 7/8 months, etc. DS only wore 0-3 months until about 1.5 months, then he was out of 3-6 month clothes by 5 months.
Climate: if you live in Florida, you pretty much buy all short sleeves all the time, with a few jackets for "winter". Here in Seattle we can wear light-weight long sleeves most of the year, with a short period of colder weather and a short but beautiful summer. If you live in the midwest/northeast, you will need to have summer clothes and winter clothes in the correct sizes.
I recently bought maternity yoga pants and my very first maternity top. We also traded in BF's Jeep Wrangler for a "grown up" Jeep because we need one of our vehicles to be baby seat friendly.
I actually haven't bought one thing for the baby yet, or nursery or baby supplies. It's been so tempting but until I find out whether the peanut is a boy or girl, I'm impatiently waiting
@Justpeachier13 Everything @shevaCC said. It can also vary by brand. I found Gymboree and Oshkosh to run smaller, while Janie and Jack ran a little big. Carters and gap were pretty reliable and Old Navy is hit or miss and most prone to shrinking (in my experience at least.
I really hope my baby is "typical" for size because I've already started buying summer clothes in 6-12 mos. I know how stupid that is but I can't help it! I've only bought a couple of things but I love them so I'd be sad if they didn't fit!
I just bought a Kate Spade baby bag at the outlet here. 60% off! Still way too expensive but I couldn't help myself.

fleece bear suit
diaper genie (free...so maybe this doesn't count)
a book
a jet ski.
You can see from above purchases who is currently in charge of finances. My time will come dammit.
