I've been having dizziness and brown outs recently, too. @ladyshark311I feel the same way. I'm 18 weeks 3 days and the second trimester so far is just a continuation of the symptoms of the first trimester with bonus symptoms like heartburn (and some fetus kicks added in to remind me why I'm going through this).
Also, lately I've been feeling like I can't breathe well when I'm sitting. I think it's because I slouch. I also feel like my stomach skin is stretched too tight.
@ignoscemihi ugh yes the heartburn is awful, I've been living on Tums which then give me leg cramps all night there is no winning!
I I think the scary thing with the brownouts is all day my legs and butt muscles have just felt incredibly sore and I don't know if the two are related or just separate things I'm dealing with.
The dizziness has been my very first symptom in each pregnancy. Soon followed by being hungry but nothing sounding good to eat, which leads to waiting way too long to decide on what to eat and getting really weak before I smarten up.
I swear there's a difference between boy and girl pregnancies. In my first two (boy) pregnancies I started out with acne, which cleared up by 20 weeks and I had beautiful skin until about 3 months postpartum. In this (girl) pregnancy I started out with clear skin and have become a breakout-fest by nearly 20 weeks.
I have the ITCHIEST back ever!! I guess it's because I can't get back there well enough to put on lotion, but thank goodness for a back scratcher!! Oh and for my awesome DH who was helpful putting lotion on my back last night and while he was at it I made him rub my painful lower back. It's been a glorious 4 months. Ha.
Married 11-11-11 TTC only since Dec 2015. I had some weight to get off. Been working hard in the gym for over a year. BFP 02-15-16 with our first IT'S A BOY!!!
Early in the second trimester, I had an episode where I fainted at work, so scary! Since then I have experienced occasional lightheadedness. All the tests came back normal, so my doctor said it was likely caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure. Pregnancy can lower your blood pressure in general, which can cause dizziness/fainting. Mine has been better lately, it seems to be getting a little more normal with each appointment. The advice I was given was to always stay hydrated (I'm literally never without my water bottle), have six small meals a day or protein filled snacks between meals to keep blood sugar stable, and take sitting breaks when you're on your feet a lot (but DON'T stand still for a long time with legs locked... which is what I was doing before I passed out). If you feel dizzy, sit down right aways or squat with your head between your legs. And allegedly putting a baby wipe or something cold on your forehead can help.
First trimester was a breeze. Beside being tired. My first was way easier so far. In my second I've need sick to my stomach, throwing up and diarrhea. My body aches everywhere. I read your suppose to drink more water in the morning than the evening but I'm just not thirsty in the morning. Which means I pee all night long.
Symptoms have calmed a lot 2nd tri. More energy. Constant sleeping has been replaced with tossing and turning because I can't get comfortable. Appetite calmed a bit in 2nd tri until I woke up at 5 am last night ravenously hungry, first time I've woke up in the middle of the night starving in my life. I've been trying to keep weight gain in check this tri and have been pretty successful after crazy gains 1st tri, but baby still lets me know what he needs to grow with random binge days where I can't get enough food.
I am just full of snot - ears, nose & throat! I am having a love-affair with my Neti-pot lately...
Energy is better, but love a nap in the afternoon (if I can grab one). Does anyone else wake up extra early for no reason and then not be able to fall back to sleep?? For the past 2 weeks or so, I wake at 4:30am (why!?), then I can't go back to sleep.
Also, body hair is "flowing" and "lovely"!! My nether-region looks like a 70's porn-star's!!! Bushy and beautiful!! And, at 38, I am "at peace" with it, and do not want to shave (poor DH)!! I bet the OB will just LOVE that too!! (sorry if TMI)
But, the winner - my favorite - by far - 2nd tri symptom is SNOT!!!
This is a TMI one, but wondering if anyone else has experienced (and I apologize if discussed on previously symptoms threads, I scanned quickly but didn't see it).
Just went to bathroom and had a bowel movement (plus peed). When wiping, got a huge glob of discharge/mucus. I know increased discharge is normal during pregnancy, but has anyone else had a big glob (not sure how else to describe)? It freaked me out....
@JamieK1882 I am all too familiar with this. Especially after BMs. Straining seems to push all the mucous out of the cervix for some. You're not alone in your grossness!
@JamieK1882 That happens to me too! Like PP said, straining during a BM can push the CM out. It freaked me out at first but after I noticed the pattern, I figured it was normal.

OMG yes to all the snot! And the AM phlegm when I first wake up is brutal. Also, another yeast infection has decided to show up. Double upset about it because my sex drive is back full force, DH was loving all the loving lol, and now we're back on pause until it passes.

Me too!! @kmolleltz! I feel like a Mack Truck hit me and all I want to do is leave work and go home and sleep. Some days are just bad and this is one of them! Hope you feel better!

Over the past two days I've had major lower back pain. I started Tracy Anderson's pregnancy project workout videos so not sure if I pulled something or if I'm already beginning to have sciatic nerve pain but either way it hurts so bad I feel like throwing up. Doesn't help that today is one of my biggest workdays of the month so asking to go home would put a lot of strain on my bosses
WORST THING EVER. So if I dry heave/gag then DH does too or vise versa. I've been feeling like crap but I have thrown up and then he randomly runs out the door and vomits but I can hear him which causes me to vomit.
Does anyone have a face wash they'd recommend? I've always managed with just Dove soap as I had been lucky to have problem-free skin - that's not the case any longer. I keep breaking out and this morning noticed a dark pore on my nose. I usually have sensitive skin so I avoided most washes, but I really need something.

May I just say I am in love with my boobs right now? I consider my boobs symptoms since I know that sadly, they won't last. They are typically roughly an A-, and now I'm filling an entire B and certain to break a C in the next 20 weeks and I am just elated. They look GREAT and don't hurt yet, and I am proudly wearing all the push up bras and scoop neck shirts I can.

I wish I could say the same. While they are growing in fullness, so are my nipples. My nipples + areolas are HUGE. WTF????
I've had uncontrollable gas for the last 2 days. I fortunately have a door on my office at work, because there is no stopping it or holding it. And moving makes it worse, so every time I get up to go to the bathroom (approximately 10 times a day), I'm praying as I walk down the hall. It is not silent and it is not odorless.
@annabenanna Mine are still proportionate *for now* hoping the good luck will last! And just to offer some BTDT words of comfort, the overall fullness of your ladies may never be the same again, but your nipples and areolas should go back to normal size.
I've had pressure for about a week or two right above my pelvic bone. I called my dr and he said it's more than likely from everything moving and stretching. Oh and then two days ago I landed in the ER for quite a while because I was dehydrated and surprisingly they found a UTI as I really had no symptoms. I originally went there with an insanely fast heartbeat that I could feel and I went because I was worried. Feeling better now but that was scary!

All of this. Except I have boobs normally that appeared AFTER college (of course), and now they're out of control. I hope they will go back to normal-ish one day. Had to go bra shopping and the new cup size just shocked me.

Painfully full boobs. I hate my boobs they are way too big and still growing. they grow every pregnancy and never go down! I know some people wouldn't complain, but J are too much. That and the acne sucks and I'm allergic to all acne medicines, never had this problem before.
My legs keep going numb it happened with my other kids too but with them they waiting till 3rd trimester before pushing on my nerves. It feels like someone tied a rope around my calf and left it
I don't know that I would consider this a "symptom" but can anyone else feel their pulse in the abdomen? Sometimes I wonder if I'm feeling kicks and then realize it's my heartbeat. So weird.

Yes! That happened to me last night. I was like, "Awh the baby's kicking me. No wait, that's me."

I just asked a co-worker who has 3 LO's if she ever remembered that and she was immediately like "Yes! It was so weird!"

I was just thinking this morning how disappointed I am that my boobs haven't seemed to grow at all yet. I'm usually a full B but my figure would do better with a full C (ha that sounds bizarre) but I've always said I'm getting a boob job after kids. So far they haven't grown but maybe a tiny bit. I wear mostly bralettes so it's hard to tell in those - I put on a real bra and I still barely filled the cups. But my areolas are huge which is disappointing. Glad to hear they should go back to normal. On a side note, my nipples look a touch darker, but I haven't seen any of this veining I read about.
I'm still also not feeling very pregnant, aside from my belly being bigger. No real symptoms any more - hoping it's just the honeymoon phase. I'm 17w today and have my next check up Tuesday.

Heart palpitations! I'm glad other people are having them too. I'm going to tell my OB next appointment, but they're scary! I had them not as bad when not pregnant too.

Pee: I am pretty sure this baby has my bladder in a constant bear hug. No joke I got up 6 times last night to pee.
Stretching!!! The sides of my abs just below my ribs are so sore! The worst is when I yawn! I feel like my sides are going to split apart!
